Keyboad without numeric keypad - How to produce "enter" instead of "return"

Sorry, no forum on keyboards, so I used this one ... Sometimes, "enter" and "return" has the same effect but in certain circumstances they don't. For instance, in Excel, in a cell "enter" will paste what you've copy, "return" will change the current cell. Sorry for this silly question but how do you get "enter" instead of "return" on the little keyboard with no numeric keypad ???

In Excel, pressing enter or return will only paste data if the CutCopy mode is active (or true), having just cut or copied data from a cell; in other words the clipboard has data waiting to paste.
Moving from one cell to another when pressing enter is an option that can be set by the user.
Pressing the single enter/return key will do both but it depends on the previous action performed, if any.
That said, I create VBA excel programs using a laptop exclusively and notice no difference in the singe enter/return key.

well the main point of u r problem is that u r not able to change the qyantity /value in invoice
but system should allow u to change the quantity and vlaue as per standard sap settings
i think u r user profile is not authorized to do so.........chek the authorization for miro
u can aslo ue invoice reduction option in miro
suppose u r vendor invoice u for 100 pc but u have recived only 89 pc as 20 pc u have already returned then u can use invoice reduction option to change the quantity and value and in this case sytem will genrate the credit memo and invoice
100 pc invoice
20 pc credit memo
and ultiamtely u have posted 80 pc invoice

Using calculator application without numeric keypad?

I have a little but very frustrating problem. I was bought a new MacBook in the last week to replace my old PowerBook 12". Everything is fine, I like the new machine but the numeric keypad is missing. This isn't a catastrophic problem, but I can't use the calculator application only using the keyboard! Why? In the calculator application doesn't support the multiplying key (AltShift,) if you are using Hungarian keyboard layout. Any other function is working fine (add, sub, div). With the numeric keypad we can handle this problem, but without it: no!
So anyone can help me how I can solve this problem?

I'm not used to Hungarian keyboards but am I right that the multiplying key is the one with the 'Ú' (just googled it)?
Then you should try to access it with ALT+Ú ... NO shift.
Maybe this could work. Just give it a try =)

U150 Numeric Keypad - Where is the Enter Key

If you enable the numeric keypad on the U150 keyboard, which key is the Enter key? I need this for InDesign and other applications, where the Numeric Keypad Enter key has special meaning.

I see now that it's context dependent. However, when entering text for a search string in the browser, Swiftkey shows a "Send" key instead of "Enter/Return". When I have an Enter/Return key there, I can just press it and the browser starts my desired search immediately. With the "Send" key, I press it and nothing happens other than a space character appearing immediately after the search string! If I press it twice, the browser will finally start my search.
This is just the wrong context for Swiftkey to have a "Send" key in place of the "Enter/Return" key. In fact, I'd rather have it be an "Enter/Return" key all the time, that has always worked for me in all contexts. So I'm about ready to throw Swiftkey out of the boat, although I've happily used Swiftkey on Android for a couple of years...On Android Swiftkey, the "Enter/Return" key never changes to a "Send" key, so I think that this is just broken on iOS 8. I really don't like it when keys on a keyboard change depending on context, anyways, that just a badly designed user interface.
If they don't fix it soon I'll be dumping Swiftkey until they do fix it. I really did like Swiftkey on Android, but on the iPad not so much. Maybe I can find another keyboard, other than the Apple keyboard, that works well on the iPad. Bums me out, I was looking forward to being able to use Swiftkey on iOS 8 like I could on Android.

Somebody change my password without my permission. how can I enter the iPad?

In my birthday party, somebody changed my password for joke. Now I can't enter my Ipad. What can I do?

Recovery Mode:
1. Turn off iPad
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad

Numeric keypad not working

The numeric keypad no longer functions with my Apple keyboard when trying to input numbers with Excel or AppleWorks. It has functioned in the past. The screen just freezes. Not sure what might have caused the change. Trying a different known working keyboard with keypad does not work either.
Would doing a SMU reset help?
Any suggestions?

Numeric Keypad does not enter data into Excel

Is there a way to turn on/off the numeric keypad for the imac intel based apple computer when using Microsoft Excel?
I want to enter numeric data into the cells of a spreadsheet in the Excel program, but I can not figure out how to get the numeric keypad to work to do this. It will only work as a directional keypad, moving the active cell left or right, or shoot to the end of the spreadsheet. Consequently I forced to use the use the row of numbers above the keyboard (which is also the row of numbers below the function keys) to enter data.
Strangely, the numeric keypad will enter data with other programs, such as Word or when entering data into an online page.
I have searched Apple help without success.

Make sure that NumLock has not been engaged. To toggle that on and off, press Shift-Clear ("Clear" is the key immediately above the 7 on the keypad).

You won't be able to. You should be able to connect it to your computer with Desktop Software installed and make a backup. The Desktop Software will ask for your password and you should be able to enter on the computer and make the backup. Then replace the device. I believe you can also wipe the device from there too. If not there are some 3rd party utilities (BBSAK, JL_Cmder, etc.) that will allow you to wipe the device from the computer if you know the password.

The enter key on my wired iMAC numeric keypad is not working correctly - it brings up the Start menu in Windows 7. I am running Windows 7 through Parallels. Any ideas how to switch it back?

I figured this out on my own. I had clicked a key in DoubleClick that was causing this. I unchecked it and now my enter key works normally.

I have several chemistry tutorials where users type something and then have it evaluated by pressing the ENTER key. This works fine for the ENTER key on the main part of the keyboard, but does not work for the ENTER key for the numeric keypad on keyboards with the two ENTER keys. Using Enter key from numeric keypad to enter and switch to next element in an array control

Hello all,
I have a question regarding a simple but annoying problem, of which I did not found a solution yet.
I have written an application in which I have to enter data manually in a numeric array control.
If I want to enter the value and go to the next element in the array control, i am forced to use the Tab key on my keyboard, or risk RSI using the mouse.
How can I assign the Enter key of the numeric keypad section of my keyboard to to the same as the Tab key?

How come the numeric keypad only works in log-in and not in normal progs?

I've searched this forum for all things numeric keypad related and come up blank on this problem so I'm putting this question out there for anyone else who knows the answer.
The numeric keypad on my iMacs only work it seems in typing in numbers in the password box at log-in, but in any other program, including Safari, I get nothing when I push those keys. Why is this and how can it be easily corrected with or preferably without the use of strange hacks if this is not some kind of missed setting? This one really bothers me. Why have a keypad at all if it isn't useful the majority of the time? I find the same problem on the Aluminum and plastic, wired, and wireless versions of the keyboard. If Apple didn't intend us to use the keypad in substitute for the number keys whenever we feel like it, wouldn't it make more sense to downsize the keyboards and sell them without one? The keypad only seems to work when set for use as a mouse-substitute, and nothing else.

It's strange that it doesn't work on my desktops, but it works fine on my MacBook (but of course I have to use the f(x) key to make it work on that because it isn't really a separate keypad).
Does anyone have any idea what settings under Tiger could cause the keypad not to function? It seems the problem is Tiger-related as the Leopard desktops don't exhibit the same problem.. Which keyboard is connected and by what method does not seem to make a difference.

No Numeric Keypad on New MacBook Pro...How do you RAM preview?!?!?

Title says it all. My old PowerBook G4 had the keypad accessible with the "fn" key. I just realized my brand new MacBook Pro, doesn't. How in the world do you access the vital preview controls, such as RAM and audio preview?

^Unfortunately, not any more. As I mentioned above, Apple have removed Numpad functions from the current release of MacBook Pros (released February 26 2008). I have a 17" MacBook Pro that is about 8 weeks old, and can verify this is the case. No Numpad toggle. The Numpad variants are no longer printed on the keys because the Fn key no longer provides that functionality.
This issue is being complained about all over DigiDesign and Apple's forums and The Cow. Strangely, a few of the Fn-key variants still work: Fn-Return=Enter, Fn-Arrow keys = PgUp/PgDn/Home/End. But you cannot create Numpad entries using the Fn key.
