Keyboard and touchpad not working after Windows 10 update
after udating windows 10 on my probook 4440s keyboard and touchpad not working. if i press a key for 10seconds the key then shows up in the screen. and touchpad is worst. it freezes all the time barely moves. but with usb mouse it works fine
It's known that installing Windows from an external DVD drive on a Mid 2013 MacBook Air causes that the keyboard doesn't work after finishing the installation. The fix is to install Windows by using a USB drive. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4599

Laptop keyboard and touchpad not working in Windows 8.1
I just upgraded my S875-S7248 to Windows 8.1 last night. At first, everything seemed to be fine. However, this morning, the keyboard and touchpad had stopped working, and nothing I've tried has fixed it. After some research, I figured out how to open the Device Manager, and the both devices are showning the infamous yellow triangle. When I click on the device, I see the message "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is imcomplete or damaged (Code 19)". Both devices are PS/2 devices, and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the device, and updating the driver, but to no avail. In addition, I've run the Toshiba Service Station driver update, but it doesn't retrun any new updates either.
So, short of unstalling Windows 8, what can I do to fix this?
Solved!
Go to Solution.Hi rmikereese
I had the same issue - but luckily you dont have to uninstall Windows 8 (at least I didn't need to)
Running a system restore should bring your computer before you installed the "critical updates" from Toshiba. Fortunately I had a usb mouse already installed (because like you, my touchpad was also not working)
1. Restart Computer and Sign In
Note: I had to use the on-screen keyboard option found on the Ease of Access found at the bottom left of the screen
2. Right Click on "My Computer" (aka "Computer" aka "This PC") and click on Properties
3. Click on System Protection (3rd option on the left menu)
At this point a new System Properties window will pop up already on a System Protection tab
4. Click System Restore...
5. Choose restore point --> I had an option for "Windows Update" which was a "Critical Update"
My computer reset the registry and my touchpad and keyboard began working again!
When Toshiba tells you that you have Updates (Toshiba Support Driver) IGNORE IT!
Hope this works for you!

Keyboard and touchpad not working
Good day My keyboard and touchpad stopped working all of a suuden, and I need help. My computer is Toshiba Satellite E55 A-5114, this has happened to me before but only the touchpad stopped working and it fixed whenever there was a system update, now I've updated the system and installed the recent drivers and still not working, any ideas?

There appears to be an epidemic. My guess is that a Windows update which changes a driver causes it.
So turn off automatic update and inspect them one-by-one. They are offered on the second Tuesday of each month.
Windows Update: Frequently Asked Questions
I install only those marked Important or Critical. In particular, stay away from those which change a device's driver. Get driver updates only from Toshiba. -
Keyboard mouse not working after Windows update
Question was asked and supposedly answered b4, but didn't tell how to work around no keyboard or mouse. Ie: how do u get to device manager without keyboard/manager? I unplug to reboot and up down keys work in startup. However, when I open in safe mode, keyboard and mouse still don't work.

Keyboard and mouse not working after boot
Hello!
it's my first time here
I have been using archlinux for a couple of months and after an upgrade, my mouse and keyboard stopped working.
I have also posted it on linuxquestions:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions … ot-934040/
What might be causing that problem?
and, considering the problem occurred after an upgrade, reinstalling the system would correct it?when booting into runlevel 3, the keyboard and mouse works fine.

Access 2010: ListBox (Forms 2.0) not working after Windows Update
After one of the updates attached was installed the following VBA-Code line causes an error on Windows 7 using Access 2010:
Me.lbCountries.AddItem rst("Country")
lbCountries is a ListBox (Forms 2.0) using
class: Forms.ListBox.1
OLE: Microsoft Forms 2.0
MultiSelect: Multi
ListStyle: Option
The code is still working using Win8 (x64) and Access 2013. On Win7 (x32) and Access 2010 the following error is displayed:
„Object doesn't support this property or method“
(Error Code 438)
After manual deinstallation of the mentioned updates the VBA-code executes as expected. ListBox seems to be unusable after one of the updates. All other workarounds trying to fill the ListBox cause the same error.
Fast Help is very appreciated.Hi,
Would you please to tell us which KB caused this issue? As far as I know, after installing
MS14-082 (part of December 2014 Public Updates for Office) you might get the error run-time
error '438': Object doesn't support this property or method, when clicking on the enable content button.
If you have installed MS14-082, please try to install the hotfixs that released in the March 2015:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/the_microsoft_excel_support_team_blog/archive/2014/12/13/forms-controls-stop-working-after-december-2014-updates-.aspx
Hope it's helpful.

Wireless router not working after Windows update
I have a WRT54G V.5 wireless router. Windows Vista Home Premium did an auto update. Now wired connection works, wireless does not. Asks for key, but when entered nothing happens. Diagnosis states action was canceled. I have disabled and enabled, does not fix. Any help will be appreciated!
Solved!
Go to Solution.Take not of the Wireless Settings(SSID and WEP/WPA Key) on your Router...
To know the Wireless Settings follow this link
Once you know the Wireless Settings attempt to connect to your Wireless Network...
XP :
Click on Start and goto the Control Panel and double click on Network Connections, right click on Wireless Network Connection and click on Properties.
Now on this window, click on the second tab Wireless Network and give a check mark on "Use windows to configure my wireless" and then remove all the network names present in the Preferred Networks Window. Then click on OK...
Right click on the Wireless Network Connection again and click on View Available Wireless Networks and try to re-connect to your network...
Now it will give you the opportunity to put the network/wep key, make sure you enter the correct network key and confirm it...
It will connect...
Vista :
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Network and Sharing Center >> Manage Wireless Networks, here remove all the networks present and close the Window...
Click on Connect to a Network and try to re-connect to your Network, it should ask for your Network Key/Password, enter the correct password/network key and click Connect...
It should connect...Once you are connected you should restart the computer, it should connect to Internet... -
After I upgraded to Yosemite, my MAC Time Machine backup drive is no longer recognized and the process freezes when I try to re-install the drive from the drive's software. Is there a way to fix this?
Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -
Ipod touch 4g- no music, and apps not working after iOS5 update
Hi, I just updated to IOS 5 on my Ipod touch 4G, and ever since then the music library (in the Ipod) is cleared out, and none of the apps work. It's like it didn't finish updating and transferring back the data to the Ipod. When I go to plug in the Ipod to my macbook, and bring up Itunes, the Itunes program freezes every single time, not allowing me to fix the problem. My Ipod will show up in the side bar of Itunes, with the circular arrows going for a little bit, then the arrows stop in the middle of the process... I go to click on anything in Itunes and immediately get the spinny flywheel on my screen, meaning itunes freezes, and I have to force quit the program everytime. I've tried rebooting my computer a few times, as well as restarting my Ipod, but nothing is working. The internet works on my Ipod, but anything music/app related is 'empty.' I couldn't find anyone else on the net w the same problem, so I might have something unique~
I would try restoring the iPod from backup. If necessary, place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovery mode:

Airtunes and Airport not working after Itunes update
Help
I have a new airport and before updating to the new version of iTunes it worked perfectly. Now the green light flashes (an option I ticked to show activity) but no music comes from the device. I have seen other users here with the same problem: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8147595
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks
JamesSame problem here.
My base station, which is newer, is working still, but the latest iTunes update knocked out my older AirPort Express.
I've tried many times to reset the Express with a paperclip but no results. After resetting the Express, AirPort Utility reads it through a scan, but when I try to add Express to my existing network it drops out and fails to reconnect.
I'm stuck with a flashing yellow light. AirPort Utility can't pick it up in another scan unless I go back and reset the Express with a paperclip and the process starts all over again.

Windows 8.1 Onboard Keyboard and Touchpad Stopped Working.
After upgrading to Win 8.1 my keyboard and touchpad stopped working suddenly. They both worked fine for the entire Windows 8.0 release. When I upgraded to 8.1, they both worked for about 3 months. Then what started happening is the computer
would freeze during the startup process.
Now they both don't don't work. But a USB powered mouse works. So with a USB powered mouse and the on screen keyboard I have been troubleshooting. I have removed the drivers from the device manager, reinstalled the drivers, searched for
driver updates etc. Nothing works.
Can someone please point me in the right direction. PC is kind of useless at the moment.Hi,

Rocketfish Bluetooth Keyboard RF-BTKB2 not working under Windows 7 64 bit
Rocketfish Bluetooth Keyboard RF-BTKB2 not working under Windows 7 64 bit
Anyone had successs in this or another Bluetooth Keyboard after a bit of a struggle? What did you do to get it working? When I Add Device in Bluetooth it sees the keyboard but enlessly scans for it when I try to select and connect. The Rocketfish Bluetooth mouse worked just fine.My friend, i have both, the bluetooth mouse and keyboard here that your talking about. and the keyboard was a struggle to pair with the windows 7 64 bit.... i think i spent 2 days working with it. and i didnt try anything special, i just kept trying to pair
it, and unplugging the dongle and working with it... and after a while. it worked... Lately though, i have been looking into getting a wired mouse and keyboard becuase of the delays and sleep time i have with my current keyboard(rocketfish). supposidly there
is a way around the delays but it disables all the options on your keyboard. IE the media buttons, and web browsing features. and my mouse keeps dieing off too....
Also, after researching these products more, i found that alot of people experienced similar problems with them, Being delays and mouse failure. Even with fresh batteries and all. The products werent meant to be used long term(2-3 years) for extensive use...
I dont know about you but i thinki paid 100 bucks for the pair so thats only 25 bucks a year... Which is kinda silly considering i coulda got a better one that wont cough up on me.
If anyone reading this finds a good wireless keyboard that doesnt delay, and a mouth that doesnt delay...(my biggest concern). Please mention it. i am very interested in.
