Hello, I have a HP Pavilion dv6 7043cl Notebook PC & product number is B4T93UAR#ABA, I want to know does my notebook has keyboard backlit and light arround touchpad? I have read posts similar to my question but i guess my notebook doesnt have it, i have tried pressing fn + spacebar but it didnt work

Sorry to say: No, it does not have a backlit keyboard, it only has
Keyboard: Full-size island-style keyboard with numeric keypad

And I don't think you can change the keyboard to backlit without changing the motherboard because the keynoard needs where to plug cables/pins for its lights.

Touch and hold the keyboad key (bottom right of KB) and select merge.
I suspect you have an iPad. This is the iPod touch forum and the iPd doe not have that option.

For the both of you.
Turn your Mac on, wait until the login screen appears.
Turn off your keyboard, wait several seconds. Hopefully a "Keyboard turned off" or "Keyboard disconnected" comes up. Then remove the batteries.
Turn the Mac off then turn it back on.
When it turns back on, it should say missing keyboard or something of the sort. Put the batteries back into the keyboard and turn it back on. Hopefully it should start talking again.
It sounds like you two have a Mac that doesn't have a built-in keyboard. So you could easily reset the SMC...

Standard troubleshooting steps in order are as follows - checking after each one to see if the problem is resolved:
Power your iPad off and on.
A reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release.
Restore your iPad with iTunes from your iPad's backup.
Restore your iPad with iTunes as a new iPad or not from your iPad's backup.

I downloaded Ios8 and my keyboard for my financial apps does not include a "enter" key or and "." decible key. How do I get my old keyboard back?

All my financial apps require a "enter" key and a "." decibel key. The new keyboards for IOs8 only have a "delete" key and a blank key with no use.

Apple Store Will Not Take Keyboards Back!

Just to let everyone know, Apple will not accept returns of the BT Kayboards and Mouse - eventhough they know there are issues.

Apple has agreed to take the keyboard back after I spoke to a senior customer service rep. (Thanks).
No matter what I did, after 4 hours on the phone with Apple, we could not get it to work. Firmware 3.1, new batteries, etc., etc. I think the issue is with the antenna system used on the G5. (Design flaw). Just a guess. I did get it to work for a brief period, when I moved it to within 5 inches of the antenna -- but the mouse was really sluggish and never quite as precise as the cord mouse. In addition, the keyboard would work OK for a few minutes, then I would have the same issue that many others are having of rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, etc.

Hi all... I had a very loose hinge, Apple replaced the entire lid assembly including the display itself. Is there a definitive way of determining if it is an LED back-lit one? (I can hope, can't I?) There is no clue in System Profiler. It does say 32 bit color, but...

If it's super super bright it might be.

I used to be able to type the contact name I was searching for, but that function seems to have disappeared. I just get a list of all the contacts and have to scroll throught. I'd like to have the keyboard back. Any ideas? Thanks!

Thank you! I had to look up how to power the phone off: hold the on/off button down until the choice to turn off the phone comes on the screen. Turn off the phone for a few minutes. When I restarted it, the contacts were searchable (with a keyboard) and the edit function was back again. Thanks again.

I should have worded my question better though I meant to say, I am not using a bluetooth keyboard, I did, however set up a bluetooth printer to the ipad and since then, the keyboard does not appear on screen.. KEYBOARD BACK LIGHT for a brand new P55T-A5202, not working

hi could any one assist on this I just bought a P55T-A5202 laptop which has backlit feature, I have tried to turn it on but it doesnt seem to work. I have enable a keyboard function key to show in the monitor everytime I enable the back light, pressing FN +Z and it shows Back light ON, OFF and timer .. but the keyboard back light never turns ON. does anyone have any idea.. perhaps the BIOS. everything else is working OK

I have a p55t-a5202 that has a backlit keyboard. I purchased it used about a week ago. Initially the keyboard's backlight didn't work. I simply powered down, the up again, and it began to work. However, I can't toggle it off and on with the Fn + Z key. Any thoughts? I have upgraded all drivers including the Fn key driver for the touch pad and keyboard. I can toggle the touchpad on and off, but not the keyboard's backlite. Also, I have noticed the following about the keyboard: 1. On the top row of keys, the upper functions only are illuminated. The lower functions (F1, F2, ........ Pause) are not. Is this normal?2. I also noticed that the Fn key, and the spacebar do not illuminate. Is this normal?
