Keyboard clicks keep turning back on

Even after I turn off the sound it goes on again! Wth? It's annoying!

Hey Smurfyipaduser,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Looks like you have tried turning off the keyboard clicks and it is not working correctly. You may want to try restarting and then resetting the iPhone. After that if it still has an issue you can try to backup and restore the device.

  • I have read the thread about turning off dialpad sounds when calling a number. I used to always be able to do this on my 4S but not so since the latest software on the 5. Keyboard clicks are turned off and still have dialpad sound. I've NEVER had to mute.

I have read the thread about turning off dialpad sounds when calling a number. I used to always be able to do this on my 4S but not so since the latest software on the 5. Keyboard clicks are turned off and still have dialpad sound. I've NEVER had to mute to dial before.

I really do not think it is the iPad or your network connection. Other users have reported this very same issue. Try this and see if it works for you - it may not work - but it's easy to try - harmless - and it has worked in the past for others.
Try signing out of your account and restart your iPad.
Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID and tap the ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Go back to Settings>Store> Apple ID and sign in again.

  • My iPhone 4S keeps turning back on if it isn't plugged into a charger?

I bought my iPhone 4S recently. When I try to turn off my iPhone it keeps turning back on. The only times it stays turned off is when I have it plugged into a charger. I have tried holding the sleep/wake button and sliding the shut off tab and also holding the home button & sleep/wake button at the same time while unplugged from the charger; on both occasions it has turned back on without me doing anything. I would just like to know what is happening and also if they're is a solution for it.

Hi, I have the same problem. I tried to call them but they tried to make me pay $99 only to talk to them, so I dicided not to talk to them. Btw, did you get the solution for that? Thanks

  • Phone key tones are audible now even though keyboard click noise turned off

My phone key tones are audible now even though keyboard click noise turned off. i have turned keyboard clicks on and off and turned iphone on and off but still happening.

Why do you believe keyboard clicks and dialing tones are connected in some way? Neither one has anything to do with the other.

  • Calendar notifications keep turning back on

I like to have all calendar notificatins turned off, but every time I restart my computer (iMac 27" late 2012 with Yosemite) I find that calendar notifications are all turned back on - alerts, notificationsin lock screen, notificatin center, badge app, playing sound.  I turn everything off and all works as it should until I restart my iMac and all the calendar notifications turn back on by themselves.  Can anyone help with advice for me to keep the calendar notifications off?  It's really annoying to have to change the settings every time I restart.
    Thanks!

  • ITunes 11 - "Show iTunes In The Cloud purchases" keeps turning back on

I have repeatedly turned off "Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases" in iTunes 11, and then when I relaunch iTunes, it is checked again!   Not only that, but when it launches with that feature turned back on, it then marks pretty much any TV show I have purchased via iTunes as watched, even if they are unwatched.    Any suggestions?

    hello,
unfortunately it is a huge bug....itunes store and itunes screw up the tv shows. many users reported this already here. now we have to make apple aware of the issue. go open a support ticket for this and please also send feedback within itunes, reporting the bug !
lets keep hopes up for a quick solution.

  • Windows Update Service keeps turning back on

I have Windows Update service stopped and Disabled in my image. It doesn't turn back on upon every reboot I attempt.
However, once I use it in an OSD to apply image and carry out my OSD task sequence, every single time the Windows Update service now shows as "Started" with Startup Type configured as "Automatic (Delayed Start)".
I'm not showing anything in my setupcomplete.cmd that indicates this server should be turned on. I'm not seeing anything in OSD that indicates this should be turned on.
maybe I am missing something though. Is SCCM configured to turn services back on for me or should I be looking somewhere else to see why?
There's no GPO for Windows Update in the AD I'm on either

I came across this, is this legitimate? Sccm 2012 R2 Cu4

So this was what was enabling our Windows Update Service every day. To prevent this from happening we can exclude clients from remediation via a Registry change on the client:
    1.      Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\CCM\CcmEval\NotifyOnly.
    2.      Change the value to True
When set to True, the client computer will not automatically remediate any problems that are found, however you will still be alerted in the Monitoring workspace
about any problems with this client. More information and alternate methods for disabling remediation on selected machines can be found athttp://blogs.technet.com/b/seanm/archive/2012/12/20/configuration-manager-client-health-disable-automatic-remediation-for-selected-machines.aspx
When set to False (the default setting), the client computer will automatically remediate problems when they are found and you will be alerted in the Monitoring workspace. For more information see How
to Configure Client Status in Configuration Manager at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh338432.aspx.
Yes that's the blog entry I have linked to. It will do what you require.

  • When I try disabling colour management in the printer driver, it keeps turning back on

I'm using Lightroom v2.4 and a Canon Pixma Pro 9500 printer with the latest driver.  I've just tried to print from Lightroom for the first time since moving to this latest version of Lightroom and when I go into print setup and turn off colour management, the driver doesn't keep the setting.  Nor does it allow me to do borderless printing.  My choice of print quality is also lost - this never used to be a problem.
This is very frustrating and means I must use Photoshop to print which takes longer when there is much to do.  Please can someone offer some advice. I can print from Photoshop without this happening.
    Thanks
    Joanne

Have you tried creating Print templates in LR? Available from the left panel
in Print module. That's what I do to make sure the printer driver settings
    stay the same.
Are you quite sure you have the latest 9500 driver?
    Eric
I'm using Windows XP SP3, and I have just one button at the bottom left of the
Lightroom print diaglogue window called 'Page settings', when you click this,
you can select the printer and go into properties, which is where I normally
disable colour management.  It is also refusing to print at standard quality,
but it defaulting to high quality (which takes a lot longer).
Thing is that I can print from Photoshop without problems and it's from
Photoshop where I do much of my printing, but printing from Lightroom is good
if I have a big load of prints to do as it's so much quicker to set up and it
    has the picture package facility.

  • "use cellular data for" apps keep turning back on

ie. go in, slide bar from green to off for facetime, youtube, etc...go out of Cellular, back in, and those apps show green for "use cellular data for".
At first I thought it was an issue with some versions of Angry Birds, as they don't all do this.  Then realized facetime, youtube, facebook, etc.. all do this.
Works fine on two other iphones.   Running latest ios on 4S
The fact it doesn't do it for all apps is what I find is strange.  Thought at first it was an issue with Rovio apps, but then realized even facetime does this.
    Thanks

I'd like to know why there is not solution to this.  I think I'll just remove all those apps that are turning their 'use cellular' data back on.  I only cared because when my kid plays angry birds, my cellular data was being used for videos.  Oh well, I guess I'll have to remove apps or get a new data plan.

  • I have an iPhone 4 and have upgraded to iOS 6.  Based on posts regarding battery life after this update, I want my setting for "Use Cellular Data for" iCloud Documents to remain off.  However, it keeps turning back on...can I avoid this?

I also wanted to note that this setting goes back to On even if I have not turned off the phone...but it also does this when the phone is turned off and then back on.

I am seeing the exact same thing on iOS 6.0.1 on my iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.
    Steps to reproduce:
In Settings:General:Celluar, check to be sure the following is off:
    iCloud Documents
    iTunes
    Passbook Updates
    Reading List
Check back to the same screen after 5 minutes (while not on Wifi) and iCloud Documents is back on.
It's burning through data like mad.
I know I could kill iCloud on my devices or turn off Cellular data, but neither is a solution.
Apple, are you aware of this? I think most people assume that users just don't know how to turn this off. That's not the case, it's coming back on by itself.

  • "All Controls" Keyboard Preferences Keeps Turning Off

Every so often the keyboard access setting on my computer switches from "All Controls" (my preferred option) to "Text boxes and lists only."
It doesn't seem to match up with any specific event: logging out, rebooting, shutting down, etc. Just every once in a while it'll change back. Sometimes it'll last two weeks, sometimes it'll just last two hours before it goes back to "Text boxes and lists only."
    Anyone else experienced this?
Anyone know how to fix it?

I actually never goes back to the way I want it.
The default option for Full keyboard access is "Text boxes and lists only." I prefer "All controls."
The default option for the dock is to always have it visible. I prefer auto-hide.
So, it'll frequently flip back to the default option, but never switch to the way I prefer it.
Toggling the setting back to how I want it does fix the problem... it's just one of those things that shouldn't happen.

  • My iPod screen is white and keeps turning back on white

My iPod Touch screen has gone white, I am able to turn it off and sometimes use the touch screen but it always comes back white even when I restart it. I have tried to turn it off which I am able to but the screen comes back white. I sometimes can use the touch screen but I can't see what I'm touching. This happened after I dropped my iPod. My iPod is 4th generation, not jail broken or anything. The screen has had a problem of not sticking to the interieur of the iPod ever since I had to replace the cracked screen. What could I do to get it back to the way it was?

    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. However, then may be unwilling to do anything since you took it apart. Problem could be due to a loose connection or something is broke.

Try disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall for the network problem.

  • Flash: Keyboard Shortcuts Keep Disabling

So I just got Adobe Flash Pro cs6 (64-bit) and one of the problems I've noticed when animating with the program is after a couple of minutes the keyboard shortcuts keep turning off when I'm drawing. I can turn them back on if I drag my animation tab out of full view and then place it back to full view but then after another couple of minutes, they disable again. This happens whether or not the animation is full view or dragged out, the keys keep turning off and I can't task to a new tool because of it.

Good question.  If/when it does it again, I'll check.  However, until you asked that, I never noticed the keyboard layout options and that one of them is CS5.5.  That's an easier fix for me than re-customizing everything, as I was just wanting the CS5 layout.
Something else I noticed is that my workspace is set for "Import from Project" and I'm supposing it's possible that the keyboard layout is connected to the workspace and might be either resetting it to CS6 or custom, which may or may not have had those customizations.   About 25% of the projects I'm working on currently are pre-CS6, so every time I load one of those up, it might be making everything else go wonky.
In any event, I have a better idea what to look out for now.  Thanks
