Keyboard-created emoticons not showing in Facebook since upgrading Firefox 9/12/2014. Will this be fixed? They show in other browsers.
I just upgraded to Firefox v32.0.1 yesterday, and I see that keyboard-created emoticons like smileys (colon +right parenthesis), winks, hearts, etc. are not displaying in Facebook on status messages or comments. This isn't just for new posts, but for old posts as well. They were visible before the upgrade, and now they are not. I believe this is a Firefox/Mozilla issue, not a Facebook one, as I just checked Facebook on two other browsers (Google Chrome and Internet Explorer), and the emoticons do display. Is this something you can fix soon? Thank you.
If you hover the display:none; line then you will notice a check box that allows to disable this rule by removing the tick.
I'm not sure why it shows this display:none rule.
It is possible that a script that is supposed to process these lines isn't running (I see several data-xxx attributes that are usually there to be processed by a script).
It is also possible that there is a problem with the cookies or that a different setting is used.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

If I am correct, the AV cables are for your "video" and "photos" app only. In other words, you can only view your photos and videos stored on your iphone hard drive. If you would like to stream or watch videos on your TV, you would need the HDMI adapter.
In my opionion it is best (I know it does not fit all though) to get an Apple TV. They retail for $99.99 and work great with IOS 5 airplay mirror mode. So not only can you view everything on your iphone to your TV, but its all wireless as well. -
Firefox 33.0.2 on Windows 8.1 64 bit. Since upgrading Firefox, it no longer accepts URLs in the URL bar - it works if I have a bookmark, a link or from History, but not if I enter or paste a URL and hit <enter>, in which case nothing happens at all.
I have found that issue reported for Ubuntu (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1011935?esab=a&as=aaq) but not for Windows. The solution there to change the keyboard is not feasible since it's a laptop with a built-in keyboard.
I did not have this issue with FF 28 (I finally upgraded because I was getting BSODs) and I don't have this issue with any other Browser on same platform.

Hi, I regularly seem to get a 'Bluetooth not available' error message since upgrading to Leopard, any ideas why, have to reboot to shake it.

SimonI solved the same issue by resetting the SMC. With the computer off, remove the battery and press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. Then reinstall the battery and restart. I haven't had any bluetooth issues since.

Try a soft reset and troubleshoot the problem, if you do not know how to perform a soft reset click on the link below;

If the problem persists, try logging out of email by going into
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Account > Delete Account
After you have done so, click on Add Account right below the list of emails, enter all your details.

I am unable to open certain pages on sites. I have to switch over to IE because the new Firefox update is not accomodated on their websites! When will this be fixed... sites included Ameritrade, FAFSA, and others...First and foremost, you should update to 3.6.17 because the version you're running at the moment is insecure and exposes your system to attack. That may even fix the problem since several minor bugs were also fixed in later versions.
Similarly, after updating, go to the [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ Plugins Check] page and update those which are necessary.
If the problem persists, try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.
I didn't experience a problem myself accessing any of those sites you mentioned. See screenshot. -
The ios8 update is causing innumerable problems with my ipad. The info from my calendar just disappeared, I am typing blind with the keyboard most of the time, and I cannot upload pics or paste to FB. When will this be fixed and what can I do in the Meantime?

Since upgrading to Mavericks my mail will only allow me to choose one recipient at a time unlike previous OSX which would allow me to choose multiple recipients at once.

understand why apple would change one of my favorite features. I use the notes feature to
capture quick ideas on the road and having it synched on my computer and my phone was very useful.

Then you won't be syncing your notes anymore.
