Could somebody please help me ??
I am running OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.3
    Thanking you in advance.

    Back up all data.
Triple-click the line below to select it:
    ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/MailRecents-v4.abcdmr
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with an item selected. Quit the application if it's running. Move the selected item to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Relaunch the application and test. If there's no change, quit again and put the item you moved back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Otherwise, delete the item you moved.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

After an update or installation, your MBP may take some time to index its files. Give it some time - but if you don't see any improvement, post here - you'll get an answer!

  • Keyboard freezes when typing on iPad.

is  anyone else experiencing the screen keyboard freezing when typing a Google search or on an Internet blog?

To things that seem to have helped folks with this problem is a reset of all settings followed by a reset of the device.
    1. Use the Settings app to reset all settings.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
    2. Reset your device like this. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.
    Hopefully that fixes your problem.

This is called autocomplete. Please read the article [[Form autocomplete entries are not saved]], as it should solve the problem.

  • Windows 7 and a deskjet 1050A. When printing email only the header appears on the paper.

It's the same from two different email addresses.

If you're using Windows 7 Ultimate (I think) and your processor supports virtualization, you could try installing XP Mode. Some older apps that were wonky in Win7 are usually much happier in XP Mode.
If you're not operating as per above, have you turned off UAC and set Indy to run in Compatibility mode?
Lastly, I'm suggesting these as possible bits of duct-tape to try, not as reliable fixes. Bob is right. If you're not willing to upgrade InDesign, think hard about downgrading your OS.

  • When typing email iPad freezes up. Also sometimes when Internet searching

MMy iPad freezes up occasionally when searching web. it is also freezing up when drafting email.

  • Hitting F brings up Keyshort cuts in the webpage. it is annoying when typing email.

I have installed OWASP Mantra. Which is a glorified FF.
This happens on Firefox (alone) as well. When I open a webpage on Firefox and hit F, a bunch of keyboard shortcuts come up. They are all over the page and they are for each link displayed on the page.
But this is so much of an annoyance, because when I'm typing the email on Gmail, suddenly any letter combination opens up the link and closes my email session.
This is F###### retarted. Sorry for the language. You have no idea how many of my emails I had to re-write.
How can I remove this feature.

This sounds like an accessibility "feature" but I can't recall any such feature built in to Firefox.
I don't want to make your life more difficult, but could you post a screen shot showing the keyboard shortcuts all over the page? This article might help: [[How do I create a screenshot of my problem?]] You can attach a screenshot to a reply using the Attach button that appears below the text box.
If this is a feature of an add-on, you could try disabling it. I suggest disabling ALL nonessential extensions on the following page. Just keep the ones that are essential, meaning you would rather shut off the computer than browse the web without them.
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Add-ons > Extensions category
If you restart Firefox, is the problem resolved?

  • Letters in the way when typing email

Downloaded iOS 8.3 today. Now, when I type an email, each time I touch a key the letter looms up large, as it always has. Now, however, it doesn't go away. The letter stays up over the keyboard until the next letter is touched. Often the last letter is hiding the keys that I want to use next. Is there a fix for this?

I can't stand this either....the thing is, I don't mind using Ping...I just hate this suggestion box! Is there ANY WAY to turn it off?!

  • Group addresses not added when sending email - only group name

Just helping a friend use Thunderbird on a new PC with Win 7 Prof. Previously he used Outlook Express under Win XP.
Downloaded latest version of Thunderbird. Imported old wab file as suggested using "morefunctionsfor..." . The old (complete) address book was imported correctly into a new address book in Thunderbird. It contained several groups. Each of these is correctly listed underneath the new address book and they also appear in the new address book. Clicking on any group correctly shows the list of addresses for that group.
However, if one selects a group and sends an email to that group ONLY the name of the group appears in the TO field and the email fails to send. Closer inspection of the contents of the address field show that only the group name and NOT the constituent addresses are being included.
    Thanks

My problem is that groups are no longer recognised and cannot be used to send emails. Does Mozilla respond to this problem or do we have to wait for a clever user to find the solution? The problem for me is fundamental and will shortly affect whether I have to find an alternative program.

  • Delay when typing in Safari, the first character is always missing.

Recently when I go to type in a address or text in the search window, the first first character is always gone. Resulting in me having to back space to the beginning to re-type the first character.
My father is a Mac user too and he experiences the same thing.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi,
The problem you described sounds reminiscent of a problem many MacBook, MacBook Pro and even PowerBook G4 users have been experiencing. If you do a Discussions-wide search for the phrase "first key" in quotation marks, you'll get an idea of how wide-spread the problem is. Apple recently released a firmware update for the MacBook and MacBook Pros, but reports of first-key-unrecognition persists.
While I hope your problem isn't of this variety, the point I'm trying to illustrate is that if it is, Apple has yet to pin down a proper fix for it. Until they do though, perhaps some workarounds you can try are banging on a modifier key before typing anything, or clicking twice to ensure focus has been given to a window element and not just the window.

  • Keyboard noise when typing

I have done somthing to my key board and it now makes a noise (clicking) when I type.
Obviously I have presses a combination of keys to turn this on, how do I turn it off?
    thanks

Have you tried going to System Preferences > Keyboard and see if the key click sound is turned on?

  • Keyboard lag when typing

I don't know if this is a hardware, software or O/S problem. Every couple of days...more if I use Office more frequently...my computer stops registering keystrokes except at a truly glacial pace -- about one character every 2 or 3 seconds. Sometimes resynching the keyboard will help, but usually it takes a cold boot to reclaim my computer. Help!

It's a Microsoft ergonomic wireless KB for Macintosh...model 1078. BTW...the problem also occurred with the Apple extended keyboard, only not as often. It really seems tied to Office use. The more I work with Word in particular, the more quickly the problem surfaces. By way of context, I use Firefox and Safari to browse, and I'm planning on upgrading RAM from 2GB to 3GB as soon as I get around to it (I understand that's the maximum supported in this model).
