Keyboard disappears!!

recently my keyboard disappears in landscape orientation,,,can't type anything with no keys to see,,i do have the keyboard when the phone is vertical, but the keys are too small for me to use that way,,

Sorry for the trouble you're having. I personally contacted the manufacturer (HTC), and learned that since your keyboard is not displaying in landscape mode (as opposed to simply not rotating), there are a couple of things we can try. First:
- Tap Menu>Settings>Apps>Manage Apps> Choose Touch Input >Clear Data>Force Stop.
If this does not resolve the matter, please perform a factory reset. Please be sure to backup important data you have on the phone before taking these steps:
- Tap Menu>Settings>SD&Phone Storage>Factory Data Reset>Reset Phone>Erase Everything
When your phone reboots and you log into your Gmail account, the apps you had will be restored.
In the event this does not resolve the matter, your phone may be in need of replacement.

Why does the on-screen keyboard disappear once a Bluetooth device has been attached?

Once I've connected a bluetooth device to my ipad 2, the on-screen keyboard disappears and doesn't return until I re-start the ipad. I've tried this with both a bluetooth keyboard, as well as with a bluetooth pedal, which will do page up, page down, right and left arrows, etc.

Reset your phone , you wont lose anything. Hold the home and off button down until the apple symbol comes up.

I had the same problem on my ipad1. Here's what fixed it. Go to settings,general then keyboard. Hit international keyboard. Then hit the top line that lists the language you are using. It then says,"choose a software keyboard layout". It lists 3 types, qwerty,azerty and sweets. Choose a different one that is selected and then try your keyboard. If you don't like the new keyboard layout, you can always go back and select the same one you were using before when you had the problem! I figured this out today, it works!

Ios8 keyboard disappears

Upgraded my iPhone 4S to IOS8, and occasionally the keyboard disappears. This happens in Mail, Messages or Safari... anywhere I'd expect a keyboard to show up ready for typing.
I'll tap the world icon, or drag down, and the keyboard disappears--even if I click in the To: or Subject field (or the URL Location bar in Safari), and the keyboard doesn't reappear. My workaround, is to double-tap the home button, bringing up the app switcher, and then quit the app. Upon re-entering the app, I can tap and view the keyboard again.
I'd added a few FREE keyboards (Swype, Fleksy, etc.), and thought that might be the issue, but I've tried disabling all extra keyboards and I still see the issue w no 'extra' keyboards.

I was able to recover my keyboard by:
Killing all apps
Going into Settings -> General -> Keyboard -> Keyboards -> English, and change the keyboard type from QWERTY to something else
Back all the way out of settings to the main settings screen.
Opened up Mail, Safari, iMessage, or whatever and verify keyboard would come up.
Then once my keyboard appeared in my apps, I went and changed it back to QWERTY.
It seems to happen quite often and I have to keep repeating this process to get my keyboard to come back.

When I use Yahoo Messenger video chat the keyboard disappears

When I am using Yahoo Messenger the text chat back and forth works fine, but when someone sends me their cam I get a great picture, but the keyboard disappears, so I can't type anything. Is this normal? Do I have to buy the Apple Keyboard? Thx!
P.S. I am using an ipad mini wifi only.

More likely a yahoo issue and not apple, since you are using a 3rd party app. Suggest contact the app developer or visit their support forum, or read the reviews and see if other users are having the same problems.

My ipad2 keyboard disappears sometimes, usually when I try to log on to things.

Try this first and see if it works.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Here is some more detail: - it happened at the same time ( when updating to iOS8 ) on the iPad and the iPad mini.
- i believe this shows that is definitely the updated OS that causes the problem.
Also there are more "glitches" as well, like unable to update apps using wifi.
When the notification appears on the App Store logo, and i check which apps need updating, followed by "update all",
the small circle keeps turning ( the square does not appear in the middle)... signing in or not doesn't make any difference.
When i sync with the iMac, it shows that the apps are updating but the notification remains. The only way i managed to
clear that is to delete the app and reinstall it again. Very frustrating.... All this never happened with iOS7.
At this time, the iPad has no apps, no photos, no videos... just as when it was new, following the restore, but i still get
the disappearing cursor on Safari ! Amazing !

Lumia 820 Keyboard Disappears

I've had my 820 for about 4 weeks now and am loving it but I seem to have a problem with the keyboard, on certain forums like wpcentral whenever I use IE10 to answer a thread
the keyboard will pop up and then disappear again and I can't enter any text because the keyboard disappears to quick.
Is anyone else having this problem?

the onscreen keyboard just disappeared. I googled as a question and found some advice that said to reboot - which I did, but it still wont come back. i wouldn't be able to do do anything on it if I didn't have a bluetooth wireless keyboard - thank goodness. anyone have any advice?

And I format the hard disk which was included windows 7 Home premium 64 bit
and I installed windows 7 starter 32 bit
but I am facing a problem after the format which is disappearing the key board from the screen

And yes, why Windows 7 Starter? It is a very crippled version of Windows, probably doesn't include the needed accessibilty features to provide the on-screen keyboard.
I should just reinstall Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, if that's what yours came with.

LG Optimus Exceed 2 - Keyboard disappears

I've only had this phone a couple of months. The first problem started with the keyboard issue. I'd be typing and after a few keystrokes the keyboard would just disappear. I could tap the message box, or toolbar, whatever I was typing in and MAYBE the keyboard would reappear, but only long enough to MAYBE type one, or two more letters before disappearing again. If I was lucky, I MIGHT get a full web address typed in after 5 or 10 attempts, but most of the time before that happens, now it completely shuts down and goes back to the phone's main screen and I have to start all over again...clicking the browser icon and hoping the keyboard will show up so I can try to type in a website address.
This isn't just happening when I'm online. It happens when I try to send a text message, when I'm trying to play Scrabble, or Family Feud, or any game that requires typing, and even when trying to type in contact information for my phone.
NOW the 2nd issue is that my phone will not stay online. I use my home wi-fi most of the time, since I stay home due to being disabled, and it saves using my plan data, but it also happens if I enable mobile data when I'm away. I click on my browser, it opens the internet to the last web site I was on, and before I can do anything, it's gone back to my phone's main screen!
What was happening sporadically escalated to CONSTANTLY over this past weekend and now I can't use the internet at all. I tried calling Verizon twice today for support. The first time, they disconnected me. The 2nd time I was instructed to dial *228 on my phone and select option #1 and that would "definitely fix the problem". (this after being on hold for about 30 minutes). I hung up, followed those instructions, the recording assured me my phone had been 'reactivated' and I hung up. I clicked on the browser icon, the web page blinked for a mili-second and I was back on my phone's main screen! I actually think it happened even faster than it was happening before! WOW!
I have searched the web relentlessly all weekend to try to find a solution. The LG support site suggested doing a 'soft reset', which I did over the weekend and the only result I got was losing everything I had downloaded (all ringtones, games, etc.) but no fix to the problem.
Can anyone help? Does anyone from Verizon actually read these questions?

P. S. When I got this new 'smartphone', I had just paid my bill on my previous 'basic phone' the day before. I was informed that to activate my new phone, I would have to switch plans (which I did) but that my $45 payment that I had paid the previous day could NOT be applied to the new $45 smartphone plan because it's a 'different plan' (however, Verizon couldn't grasp the fact that the $45 payment would STILL be $45 no matter which plan they applied it to!!). So, after getting it IN WRITING from two separate Verizon reps that once I paid another $45, that my previous $45 would be refunded to me (less one day's usage), I made another payment. Two months later, I am STILL waiting on that refund. Any suggestions on how I can get that to happen?

But I'm guessing that you missed the part where I said that I had already done a reset on my phone prior to calling Verizon and the only things that were accomplished was deleting all my downloaded programs, my photos, contacts, etc., and making the problem WORSE?

Keyboard disappears when dictating with Siri

It sometimes happens when dictating with Siri on my iPhone 4S, that the keyboard completely disappears. I then cannot hit the "Done." button and have to restart the application. It happens once in awhile, and I do not recognise any reason. It already happened with the Mail app, Messaging, WhatsApp, and others.
Do you also have experienced anything like that?
Have you any solutions to solve this?
May it be general software error?
