    Hey linonicoldi,
Welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
This may be hardware related but I would suggest to first backup and do a clean reload of the BlackBerry® device software as shown here: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320. Please test before restoring any data to the device.
If this resolves the issue do a selective restore of essential data (Address Book, Calendar, Task, Memos, BBM contacts etc.)
How to use BlackBerry® Desktop Software to restore data to a BlackBerry® smartphone from a backup file

If the issue still persists after the reload, further investigation might be required. To help further diagnose the cause, contact your wireless service provider or BlackBerry® Technical Support Services for further review and support.
    Thank you.

  • My resolution of Apple wireless keyboard failure.

I’ve seen a lot of posts on this Forum pertaining to wireless keyboard disconnect problems. There are many, many suggestions for how to resolve (rebooting, removing plists, updating firmware, suspicions about Leopard, disconnecting all USB devices, etc., etc.), and none that I’ve read about seem to do the trick consistently/reliably.
Rather than posting this tale at the end of another topic, I thought I’d post a new topic indicating my problem/resolution. First of all, I have an iMac, 20”, Intel Core 2 Duo, 1GB, running Leopard 10.5.5. This was purchased Oct. 2006 and I have the wireless white plastic keyboard (which includes the numeric keypad) and mighty mouse. Over the past 2 years the wireless keyboard and mouse have worked very reliably, until recently. Several weeks ago my keyboard disconnected unexpectedly and I had a tough time getting it back “online”. I did all the logical things: replaced batteries, rebooted, removed plist files, made sure all software/firmware was up to date, etc. In some cases in trying to pair it, it would be seen, I would type in the passcode, it would connect, but only to disconnect shortly thereafter. Finally, it stayed connected and I thought I was home free.
Then, yesterday it disconnected again. I did all the things done previously to no avail. This time the keyboard was never seen. i.e., I never got to the point where the Bluetooth Assistant asks for a passcode, it just never saw the keyboard. By the way, the keyboard light blinked when I turned it on just like it should, and I should mention that throughout this process, my Apple wireless mouse worked fine.
At this point I decided, enough! Fortunately, I live close to an Apple store so I made an appointment to talk to a “genius”, which I did this morning. I brought in my computer and wireless mouse and keyboard. Since the mouse worked fine, I was convinced the problem was with the keyboard, but I brought in my iMac just to make sure the problem wasn’t there.
With the access to other wireless keyboards, Macs, etc.) available at the Apple store, it was pretty easy to trouble-shoot the source of the problem. My keyboard would not pair with another Mac in the store, but my iMac would pair just fine with a different wireless keyboard. My batteries were fine so the problem was obviously some sort of failure with my keyboard. The genius guessed the Bluetooth antenna went bad.
Even though my system was out of warranty, the genius told me I could buy a replacement keyboard at a discounted price of $45, which I did. So, that is my “resolution”. Not quite as satisfactory as finding some sort of magic bullet that would fix my old one, but I now have a working wireless keyboard, at a fair price, and I can quit tearing my hair out trying a myriad of unproductive “fixes”.

    Hi there!
Just received brand new iMac 21" yesterday. Unboxed it, turned it on and none of both bluetooth devices (keyboard and magic mouse) managed to get paired.
I was able to connect a USB mouse to log into the Mac. Did all turn off/on Bluetooth, turn off/on iMac several times with no luck. Weird thing is that when I lift keyboard on a 30 degree angle above my desk it seems to actually pair with the iMac but then when back to original position it disconnects.
I've tried the magic mouse with my 2008 Macbook and works flawlessly. After several attempts never managed to pair magic mouse with iMac and as said earlier keyboard is not working on a standard position on my desk. It is frustrating to have paid close to 2,000$ for something that does not even work out of the box... Any ideas or suggestions?
I'm planning to take it today to nearest Apple Stores but have a bad feeling about "genius" folks being able to help me out. Would be worth changing iMac for new one?
    Thanks a lot in advanced!

  • Keyboard Failure (Ding Nose)

Ive been having this problem with my keyboard not responding. I try to register for a new account and all it makes is a ding noise. Track pad works good, the only way I can use it is in command prompt. Witch gives me a bunch of Failure notices.
I have tried an external wireless keyboard and the same thing happens a (ding) is all i hear no keys get typed. Caps and Num Lock are off.
What could I do here is a link to a video I took to explain it self a little bit better sorry for the long boot up G4 takes a while.

    Hello,
Does the space bar key not work in certain applications? I noticed that your post has spaces which requires the space bar key to be in working order. Also, did you try unplugging the keyboard and plugging it back in? Maybe restarting the iMac G5 would solve the issue.

  • TS3048 Bluetooth keyboard failure

Same day failure of Bluetooth keyboard vs. IPad.
After going through 3 sets of batteries, and verifying the failure with another "older" Bluetooth keyboard of the same make and model.
Pushed the power button as I have hundreds of times prior.
Green LED stays on for 4 seconds, then goes out never to return till I do it again, then the same exact response.
Not sure what the failure is, but if I press and hold the power button, it will flag the process of pairing,  but it will not pair due to the lack of its ability to stay on for a sufficient amount of time.
I suspect the segment that allows for the device (battery sense) detects insufficient battery life and thus drops it like yesterday's news paper.
    Please advise and thank you.

    Hello:
    Reset the SMC.
If that does not help, take in back in for service.

  • Wired Keyboard failure after 10.5.3 update

Wired Moshi celesta keyboard ceased working after recent OS 10.5.3 update (not 100% certain failure is due to OS though). The Imac sees the device as a USB2 hub, not USB keyboard hub as with wired Mac keyboard - that works thankfully. Has anyone experienced non-mac keyboard issues problems following the OS update?

Yes, You should have a previous system folder after an archive and install.
Can you backup everything to a second HD? Or, were you running Time Machine (a good idea). If you can, then you can safely delete many things from the previous system folder. Or, at least enough to begin testing to see if your apps work.
I routinely do and A&I when I upgrade. Then I test all my apps (or at least the important ones and a sample of the lesser ones). I move the previous system folder to a spare disk and keep it around for a few weeks incase I need to copy something over (like fonts).
BTW, I suspect your start up disk is out of space, not memory. Again backing stuff up, particularly on a laptop is a very sound idea and also allows you to manage your stuff better -- older stuff goes on the backup. Despite some problems, Time Machine works well for this as do a number of commercial products.

  • Keyboard failure on Pavilion Sleekbook

This laptop boots to the Windows 8 logon screen but I can't enter a password because NONE of the keys work.   Have also tried to use an external USB keyboard but it's not recognized maybe because the BIOS for that feature isn't enabled?.  I can't boot to BIOS to enable it because the Esc and function keys don't work as well.  The mouse works fine.
I thought about ordering a new keyboard but what if the problem is with the keyboard controller on the mainboard?  I've got no way to test it.  Any ideas?
    This question was solved.

    Hi:
Have you tried connecting the USB keyboard in all the USB ports and try entering BIOS tapping f10?
If you're not able to do that, I don't think the problem is with laptop keyboard alone.
Try a hard reset and try entering BIOS using USB keyboard or laptop keyboard again:
    http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01684768
Have you tried powering on laptop removing battery and connecting AC adapter power source alone? And in battery alone and AC power unplugged?

  • Keyboard FAILURE after install...thanks Apple.

Installed an "upgrade" Leopard on my 1.8ghz Core Duo Macbook Laptop and after install the laptop keyboard would no longer work. No matter what I did, rebooted, safe mode, single user mode, nothing... No keys would register. Keyboard shows up fine in SysInfo, just wont type...
If I boot to the Leopard DVD, the keyboard works fine.
Thanks Apple for releasing this POS and making Vista actually look like a stable OS.
This is the last time I get burned like this.... no more.

    Hello all...
Just an FYI. I had the same problem with my MacBook. I installed Leopard and the keyboard stopped working. It was because of SideTrack. I was able to hook up with a firewire to my computer to my roommate's Mac and reboot while holding "T". My computer appeared on his desktop and then I went in and removed the SideTrack files. Works fine now.
Sounds like they'll have a Leopard update soon,

  • Keyboard failure...suggestions?

All of a sudden my nice new Apple keyboard has developed a nonfunctional Space bar. All the other keys work fine, and the Space key moves normally, doesn't seem to be stuck in any way. Switched to an older keyboard and it all works fine. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Call AppleCare. Your system's under warranty so they'll more than likely send you out a new one.

  • Mouse/keyboard failure kt4 ultra

I had recently purchased a new motherboard msi kt4 ultra. Since i have windows 2000, the guy who sold it to me at the shop told me i needed to do a repair on it before i fully booted to windows 2000. So, I installed everything, then popped in the windows 2000 prof. disk, and changed the bios to have the cd boot first. all is good, so then windows startup asks me for an emergency repair disk in order to run the repair option that i needed. Since my current computer couldn't get to windows to create an emergency repair disk, i made one on my other computer that had windows 2000. So then i popped that in, and it completed the repair. I restarted, and went into windows 2000, but found that neither my mouse or keyboard worked. I tried unplugging them, switching them, everything imaginable, but it still didn't work. I tried restarting my system, going into different boot modes for windows 2000, but nothing works! I even tried doing another repair. Both the mouse and keyboard are functional and not broken. Especially the keyboard, considering i can use it until i hit the windows startup screen, then it freezes and becomes unfunctional. I have another hard drive, and was considering installing windows 2000 on that, so that i have 2 hdd that have win2k prof. on them, then try to see if the mouse and keyboard will work when i boot up with that hdd. but i wasn't sure.
If any one could help me with this dilemma, then i would greatly appreciate it. thank you.

In response to maesus, would installing windows over the current one i have delete all of the information that's on that current hdd?  if so, then since i have another hdd, couldn't i install win2k on that and have that hdd boot up?  i really can't afford to lose data, and yes, my keyboard works in the bios screen, but not windows.
And maesus, when you say that the cd is capable of doing repairs without the disk, just how does it do that?  was is that installing over the current win2k how it does it?

  • Bluetooth keyboard failure

For a while now my Apple Bluetooth keyboard would drop its connection occasionally. Now it has stopped completely.
The batteries have been changed, the power light indicator lights up, Caps Lock key lights up, but the Bluetooth software on the Mac mini cannot find the keyboard despite the fact that it can find other bluetooth devices.
Is this a known problem? Or is this just my particular keyboard?

    Hello m:
Probably your keyboard. You could try trashing a preference file (com.apple.bluetooth.plist) and restarting to see if that helps in any way.
You could also reset the PRAM:

  • Satellite A200-1P8 - keyboard failure

I have now a few month that some keys doesn't work.
Ok I don't matter than because that were subkeys, but now my m and d are getting troubles.
Reinstalling is not working, how can i or you fix this?

    > Reinstalling is not working, how can I or you fix this?
I think you can fix this only by keyboard replacement!
Get in contact with a local ASP and ask for keyboard check
Usually a keyboard replacement is not tricky but if you have no experience and if you are not notebook literate then you should ask an technician for assistance.

  • T40 Keyboard failure after login

What I have:  a keyboard that will type my login, and fully function on "guest" login, but will not operate after login for the administrator.  When I try to type the keys make a slight "bonk" sound.
Previous to this I downloaded from the Lenovo website a system restore file that included BIOS update.
Think/Vantage Rescue and Recovery versions 4.21.0016
I have hit a brick wall on this.  Anybody have a clue?
I would consider reformatting, but the previous owner said he "wiped" the hard drive and installed a fresh copy of XP.  If the F11 key appears on start up would that guarantee that I am still able to reformat?
It all began when the internet cable connections were not working well.  Now I have bigger problems.

This must be an profile error I have made but I can't resolve this keyboard issue.  I am typing on the same TP keyboard now that will not work when I log in on another user profile.
I can type on all login profiles, but I can only type on "guest" keyboard after login.  Does that make sense?
