Keyboard Glitch

This is what's happening to my keyboard. Should I be worried or take my phone back to the telus store?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4kYbiygU6Ahttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8_dxACdqkc
However, it only happens when signing into the appstore after before making a purchase. It could just be a software issue not hardware?

1. My observation is same as yours. Maybe a limitation; not a glitch, not a bug.
2. I use only one language so no experience with this, but glitch is indeed what it sounds like.

  • OS6.1.2 iphone 5 keyboard glitch

The iPhone 5 on iOS 6.0.2 will occasionally show a keyboard glitch, as if a letter is being pressed rapidly over-and-over again. It is drving me crazy to type a word!! Is anyone have the same problems? Or how to fix it?

Did you try closing Messages completely? Restart or reset the phone?
Double tap the home button and swipe up on the messages preview thumbnail to close it completely, swipe the preview up off the top of the screen, and that will close the app.
Restart the phone and see if it works OK, if not, reset the phone and then try again.

IPad iOS 8 keyboard glitch. Hitting T but typing 5.
I have an IPad Air first generation. This has been annoying me for some time. Hitting T but typing 5. It is only now and again but has happened 5wice writing this.
Haven't seen this reported elsewhere and have been hoping for a bug fix.

    Hi,
On iOS 8 Apple added support for third-party keyboards. Try downloading one in place of the original keyboard.
    I personally would recommend TouchPal.
Just a little warning though - the name of the keyboard contains a T.
    Hope this helps,
    Charlie.

  • Keyboard Glitch T430 - Pressure issue?

    Hi All,
Looking for some help here. I am having a really strange glitch with my T430. It seems whenever I put pressure on the left side of the keyboard, or on the bottom of the laptop directly below the windows button, the laptop goes to the screen where you can scroll through open applications. ie when you hit windows+tab. I don't think that this would be a software glitch, right?
I have installed a Crucial M4 256gb HDD in this. I doubt that this would be the problem though. Any ideas? It operates just fine as long as I don't put too much pressure on it. It's such a strange thing to be happening.
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Dan

try to take the keyboard off, and then reinstall it back.

  • Crazy iPhone 5 Keyboard Glitch- Bright Colored Keyboard?

So I have had my iPhone 5 for several weeks now and ever since I got it I have noticed this glitch. Everytime I am asked to enter my Apple ID or password it happens. It only happens when I hit the numerical keyboeard. It is fine with the normal qwerty keyboard. I have attached a picture of what happens? I have researched the issue but have never seen anything this bad. Lots of discussions went back on forth about this being a software or hardware issue. I have restored my phone several times. One from scratch and another from back up. Both types result in this glitch. Any idea guys? Thanks in advance!

Try a reset on the phone. Hold the on/off and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, see if it works.
Sorry, I missed where you said the reset fixed it. It is probably a random act, however there could be something wrong with your iOS, a file could be corrupt. If it continues, you can try a restore, first from a backup. If that doesn't correct it, then you can try a restore as a new device. • IOS7 keyboard glitch on swapped iPhone - is it safe/legit?

The screen on my girlfriend's iPhone 5s recently broke (shattered), and she went to an Apple store to see if she could get it repaired. Instead of repairing the phone, one of the employees gave her a replacement phone right there on the spot. She was super excited, understandably, and told me about her good luck.
Then a few hours later she messaged me a screenshot showing me that she had a glitch on her keyboard. In the first screenshot you can see some noise over the space key. In the second screenshot there's the same noise over the return key in the bottom right corner. http://imgur.com/a/VSYTM
I consider myself pretty tech savvy and up to date with Apple stuff (i've had an iPhone/iPad since they were released), and after some cursory Googling I wasn't able to find any other reports of this, so I started to wonder if the Apple employee's goodwill was too good to be true. I asked her if the phone she was given came sealed in a box and she said it wasn't.
At this point I'm wondering if it was a refurbished phone or if perhaps there's some funny business going on. I'm not sure how to check the legitimacy of the phone and/or if it's been jailbroken or sideloaded with a modified version of the OS, but I wasnted to do some homework and try to find out. One reason why I wouldn't think it's refurbished is because refurbs are checked and tested before being released back into the wild. Then again, it could be a lemon, I don't know. I've also heard reports of iPhones being replaced when there's hardware defects like WiFi issues or sticky Home buttons, but in this case her phone was clearly broken outside of normal hardware defects.
Anyway, has anyone seen this glitch before? Am I paranoid here? Is there a way to further investgate what's going on with the phone, and if so what should be done? If it's a normal refurb, any known way to fix this graphical bug?
I really want to believe it was an awesome act of goodwill, but, y'know, better safe than sorry.
    Thanks for any help!

  • Am I the only one getting a keyboard glitch on my lockscreen?

I get a glitch alot that either makes half my keyboard cover my lockscreen as if I'm holding it sideways or it'll cover a little portion and won't let me press enter because it follows the screen when I slide it.

That is a reported scammer set-up. Read some of the following from actual phone customers. It is not related to your Firefox updates. I have gotten a few of these types of calls on my '''''unlisted '''''home phone number over the past several years. They use a dialer, usually automatic and sequential number dialing. Get a loud whistle to blow into the phone mouth piece or one of those loud air horns from the hardware/sporting good store; this kind of trash deserves broken ear drums.

  • Keyboard glitches

I have a 3rd generation iPod touch that I bought in December of 2009. Lately, I've been having a lot of issues with it. These include apps frequently crashing and the touch screen not working. The problem I'm asking about has to do with the keyboard. When I use it, often it will not go away, even after I press “done” and/or “return”. When I switch to another app that uses a keyboard, the keyboard is already there on the screen and won't go away until I reboot. Any suggestions on how to treat this glitch?

    Since rebooting (is this resetting:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.) does not solve you problem have you tried:
    - Restoring the iPod from backup via iTunes
    - Restoring to factory defaults/new iPod via iTunes

  • Keyboard glitches while playing Racing games.

Hey guys i have a Hp pavillion dv6 3050tx notebook with ATI radeon 5650 1 gb mobility graphics stock driver, i7 920 4gb ddr3, i have a very unusual problem with all racing games including Gta 4 and Dirt 2, whenever i try to play games with the laptop's keyboard the game freezes after every 2  seconds vice versa while turning the car with A or D buttons or left right it seems to me that i have some problem regarding my button configuration and i have configured it agian but the problem never ends, one day i have played those games with my xbox 360 controller for pc with the controller the gameplay was working fine with no glitches i m confused why playing with the laptop's keyboard or any other external keyboard creating this problem...
please guys suggest me how to tackle this unusual problem.

It's quite normal of the Mac laptops in general. If you do graphic intensive things then they heat up. This is mostly caused just by the aluminum which usually easily heats up and the lack of a fan outlet (place to blow air out of the computer).
This happens to me as well playing even more simple games or using video editing applications.
Trust me it is quite normal for the macs, its a sacrifice for design.

  • IPhone 5 App Store keyboard glitch -- persistent green lines at bottom of screen

I just brought home my new black 32GB iPhone 5 from the Verizon store.  After using it for an hour or so, and switching over to WiFi, I entered my Apple ID password in the App Store to (re)download an app.  My password requires me to switch to the ".?123" keyboard.  The bottom ~1/5 of my screen became fuzzy, as though the keyboard overlay was sticking around longer than it should have.  After a short time, glitch resolved to a state that's been "permanent" - vertical green lines.  These green lines fade in slowly after I wake the screen from sleep.  They've persisted through multiple power off > on cycles, a hard reset, and even through the upgrade to iOS 6.02.  Interestingly, screen captures do not seem to grab these green lines.
Any ideas on how I can fix this, or am I going to have to get the phone replaced?

I think this is normaly. I've had some issues (gone through 6 replacements - not trivial issues, dead home button, dead camera, dead wifi that kind of thing). I noticed this on the 3rd replacement and everyone since. People are claiming that they have received "flawless screens" (whatever that means). I think the Sharp pannels are the ones that don't show these interlacing lines and AU Optronic pannels do. I have experience with AU Optronic pannels and everyone that I have ever owned (Motorola Xoom, PC Monitors, etc...) have done this. It is too bad that Apple settled for this manufacturer, but it is a gamble whether you will get one that doesn't do it. It is normal and within specs as most the iPhones at this point with have AU pannels due to Sharp's shortage.
The geniuses will likely not replace an iPhone for this reason. If you have AppleCare+ and have an incident in the future, perhaps you'll get lucky and get a sharp pannel put on to replace the AU pannel. But, there is no way to know which phones have which pannels.
Interestingly, I checked at the Apple store and 50% of the display models did it, and the genius that I spoke to's iphone 5 did it. You can find wall paper that is alternating black and white lines one pixel in width and it will cause the screen to flicker. Like you, I REALLY wish that apple DID NOT choose AU Optronics and if I had known I would have waited to purchase, but now I have it and cannot return it. I may sell it and move back to my previous phone. Given that the #1 selling feature is the retina display, it is disappointing to see a low quality pannel used. I really like the iPhone, but this is pretty much a deal breaker - and not knowing if you will get one that does it, or doesn't makes it very hard to "trust" a future production. I would rather have waited for the Sharp pannels and delayed getting an iPhone due to supply issues, than Apple finding an alternative, lower quality, source to produce them.

  • On Screen Keyboard Glitch in Tablet Mode - On Screen Keyboard minimizes / disappears / slides down

    Hi there -
New Yoga owner here ( just bought it yesterday) and within minutes of setting the computer up I noticed that the on screen keyboard was malfunctioning when the yoga is in tablet mode. Specifically, it pops up for about a second and then, without me touching or clicking or doing anything, it quickly slides back down. repeated attempts to bring up the keyboard end up, frustratingly, with the same result. what is perplexing to me is the on screen keyboard works fine in laptop mode (when I need it least).
Someone else already started a post on this BUT it was marked as 'solved' (which it wasn't) so I figured I'd start new thread. The solution on the previous thread was to simply 'refresh' windows to get rid of any new drivers that were downloaded since purchasing the yoga, but I did not download or update anything prior to this problem arising (as I said, the problem seemed to occur within a few minutes of turning the machine on for the first time). In any case, I tried the refresh and it did not work so clearly my problem is not that I downloaded an incompatible or faulty driver. Please Help! I love this machine and I'm trying to see past the other flaws I've noticed so far (subtle screen flickering, inconsistent touch sensitivity etc), but this issue is starting to really undermine my confidence in the product quality and, from a productivity standpoint, it is a real deal breaker to not have full tablet functionality.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I had the same problem with the disappearing virtual keyboard within hours of starting to use my new Yoga 13.  I read somewhere that it was a problem with an incompatible Synaptics driver, and when I looked in the control panel, it showed that the Synaptics driver had been updated on my Yoga as of the day I bought it.  I think somehow by agreeing to automatic updates of the software, the Synaptics driver is updated to an incompatible version.   So what I did was I removed the Synaptics driver, using the Windows program uninstaller tool, rebooted, and then found the Synaptics driver at the Lenovo site which is specifically labelled as the Yoga 13 driver.  I installed that, and the keyboard is now working fine.

  • Arrow keys spark random 5-10 minute keyboard glitch

Some combination of the arrow keys will acuse the following errors will pop uptogether, then in about 5-10 minutes they vanish:
-Everything I type will be in caps, even though caps lock is off,
    - both my USB and touchpad mouses will open new browser windows when I right-click on tabs,
    - my mouse will highlight and not stop highlighting,
-I can't switch to other windows using the minimized tabs on the taskbar, they just bring up new windows (be it browser or other programs)
-The mouse wheel will send me through my broswer history rather than scroll down or up.
-Macros don't do as expected. Example: Shift+A takes me to firefox's addons rather than highlight everything on the page.
    - clicking on bookmarks in firefox will open the website in a new window rather than in the same tab.
This error I get quite frequently:  Random semicolons followed by a random number will appear when I navigate a document with the arrow keys. This usually preceeds the following errors above.
Its a new HP Probook 450 G1, and I've had plenty of programs scanning my system for viruses and malware. I've even reset windows and the problems persist. HP phone support did not help me. What's the deal?
While writing this complain those same errors occured and navigated me away from this page, forcing me to write it again.
I'll post this over and over until I get a reponse and a repair suggestion if I have to.

SO I ended up getting in contact with a rep. who noticed that I had restarted windows and some things had not been activated. He got them updated and told me to get rid of AVG, and some other antimalware stuff because 'they weren't needed.'
I only got them in the first place because I suspected this issue to be viral in nature. We decided to see if these changes altered my situation.
Answer: Things have gotten worse. Semicolons appear much more commonly when I use the arrow keys in documents, and its the arrow keys that somehow lock the keyboard into a state where it thinks I'm holding down the shift key.
These errors have nothing to do with me using the shift key, although repeatedly pressing it does reset the semi-perement shift key issue.
And no, nothing has ever been spilled in/on the keyboard.

  • Contacts search keyboard glitch?

I have just managed to get my outlook contacts onto my phone (outlook sync doesnt work with Ovi Suite or Nokia PC studio by the way). In the end i had to export all the contacts from outlook into Vista Contacts manager, and use PC Suite to get them onto the phone.
When i open contacts, and open the onscreen keyboard by pressing in the search box at bottom of the screen, the keyboard layout seems to be laid out incorrectly, in the following layout:
    +  -  5  7  A
    B C D  E  F
    G H  I   J  K
    L  M N
Underneath this is a page 1/2 indicator and 2 arrow buttons to switch to a 2nd page. The page number indicator  overlays the contacts underneath so is difficult to read. It looks glitchy and looking at the layout (as described above) surely it isnt how it should be? I have never seen a keyboard layout like that at least.
Is anyone else seeing this issue?
Also, when i select a contact, and the screen changes to give options for make a call, message etc, the phone number appears overlaying some other elements on the screen, then disappears. Is this correct? Again it seems glitchy...
    Thanks!

Good Idea! But Apple may never hear of it unless you submit it!

  • Keyboard glitch--number pad with SL

One computer, two drives with two different OSX versions; one Leopard and one Snow Leopard. It keeps me from having all my eggs in one basket.
One keyboard. The extended aluminum slab.
Booting in SL causes the number pad's numbers to fail to work. Booting in 10.5 Leopard has them working just fine.
Before installing SL over the previous OSX, they worked fine. All the other keys work just fine in both versions.
I've tried to find anything similar on this in the discussions, but either nothing's there or I missed it. How can I get my keyboard functional in SL?

I don't know if SL boots up with that check box checked as the default or what. Maybe I was fooling with it months ago and the SL install simply inherited it.
Wouldn't it be nice if potentially mind-warping settings like this were the subject of a poster when SL booted up from a restart?
"Here are a bunch of Gotchas you may have implemented:

  • Keyboard Glitch on CDMA iPhone

Not that it's a big deal, but on the CMDMA iPhone (Verizon) with software 4.2.6, there can be a keyboard problem when rotating the phone during a text message. If you add one recipient's name to the message, then being to type the other but rotate the phone while typing, the keyboard will corrupt. Either duplicate or be cut off at the bottom. The only way to fix it is either rotate the phone again or if that fails do a hard reboot. Here are a couple screenshots:
