Keyboard going to sleep

Question

Yes, it's a weird message subject, but it's the only way I can describe what's happening. After not touching the keyboard for say 10-15 minutes, the keyboard will not respond to the first key press. The second and following keypresses work fine and it's back to normal. This is not a big issue, just kind of annoying.
Playing with all energy saver settings has no effect. It's also not related to whether or not the screensaver is running. Anyone else seeing this? I seem to remember it only becoming an issue for me after the 10.4.3 update.
To reproduce, I can start up a text editor. I then have to wait about 15 minutes, and then just try to type on the keyboard "hello world". At this point in the text editor, I'll see "ello world", since the first keypress was ignored.
Odd, eh?
P.S. - I have called up Apple support a couple of times on this issue and they cannot solve it over the phone, at least... The usual PRAM resets, etc, and still nothing.

Hi Michael --
You're apparently not alone. The problem with certain computers of the first key touched not registering input has been discussed frequently on these boards. Unfortunately, to my knowledge no solution has been found.
