Keyboard hung on the calendar...

The keyboard unable to hide while using in calendar,it's stuck on the screen and malfunction...

Try closing the Calendar app completely and see if it works ok when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e.not with the Calendar app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Calendar app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

The Calendar (a.k.a. Lightning) contains binary components, which are OS dependent. So you do need to remove the Lightning add-on in your Add-on manager and install the Windows version of Lightning.

I can't get the keyboard to disappear in the calendar.

See if either of thse suggestions help.
Quit the calendar app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or ... Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

In the calendar, under new event, the Category is a list of buttons, not keyboard friendly. I liked it better as a list that could be selected by keyboard nav.

Hmm, I opened the list with the mouse, then the keyboard worked. I guess your trying to do it all with the keyboard. I can not get that to work as the calendar one beside it does.

Very strange! All of my calendar events have reappeared. This has happened one week after downloading iOS 7
The calendar however, is not easy to use.
The typing function on the phone has become even slower. Have to wait for each letter to show on screen.

E51 - adding a voice clip to the calendar/organize...

Being a 'business phone' I am quite surprised to find that I cannot set a new note in calendar and add a voice clip in the E51 and say have that voice clip play at a specific day/date/time when its reached. All I can see you can do is send the voice clip by mms/infra red/Bluetooth. Maybe there is a third party app available for this that I can download? I have tried active note but that does not seem to integrate with the calendar either.

You can bring a connected clip to the primary storyline. You just can't over-write the existing clip. Once the connected clip is on the primary. you could delete the clip it was previously attached to,
If you want t make a clip on the primary story line a connected clip, select it and use the Lift from Storyline command (keyboard shortcut, Command+Option-up arrow),

I wish my suggestion had gotten you further.
I do suggest you try to connect the keyboard again. The request for a number is a step in it trying to pair. If it gets by the number, it sometimes takes a little while to get connected. If you are unable to get it connected and want a new one, I have been using Apple Bluetooth keyboards for years - and I like them. The one I have (the newest model) only uses two batteries and is very thin.
Speaking of batteries, if you are not already doing so, you might consider rechargeables. I have a drawer full of them and use a 15 minute charger. I go tired of buying batteries and rechargeables are environmentally friendly to boot. At the moment, I use 2450 mAh Energizers and a 15 minute Energizer charger (all purchased new on eBay at a very reasonable price).
I am far from an iPad "expert," although I have one. If my suggestion below does not help, post your question in a separate thread in the iPad forum.
I had a terrible time syncing my iCal on my Mac with my iPad iCal (confusing - hopefully it makes sense). I quit using iCloud as that added to the confusion. There is a facility to one-time sync items. When you connect your computer to your iPad, iTunes opens. The system begins a process (automatic backup and so on). After it finishes, you can click on "info." At the bottom of the screen, there is an advanced section. You can select any of the items and then force it to sync. The iCal information from your computer would be deposited on the iPad.
After all that, I do not use a Google calendar so the information may be worthless to you.
If you want to reset the iPad to factory settings, you can do that when it is connected to iTunes (one of the options). Me being me, I try never to erase anything.

Keyboard stuck open in calendar

I have a brand new iPad, and I was entering dates into my calendar. I opened and closed the calendar a few times, adding events, etc. I just tried to add another event, and when I touched "done", the keyboard froze in place, covering the calendar. The screen doesn't believe it's open, and doesn't recognize the keys or the "hide" key. I can't add more events, and I can't dismiss the keyboard. Please help!

Try force quitting the app.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPad for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then press and hold the Home button until the application quits.
If that didn't help, reset your iPad. Press and hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears.

A question about the calendar JPC in 9i demo

In my application, I use the calendar JPC from the 9i Demo. After click the button and select a date, the calendar widget disappeared and the date field now has the new date. The question is, now the keyboard seams disabled until I click somewhere using mouse.
Do I have to click the mouse after using the calnedar JPC to enable the keyboard?

It seems that after closing the calendar the focus is not within the Forms application but still on the Java Bean. Nit sure how to solve this, but you could try and set a trigger on the text field that the date is returned to.

I create a birthday calendar in iCal and then click on it in iphoto at the begining of the calendar project each year. Some how the birthday did not populate the photo calendar. Is there a way to add the birthday iCal calendar into the calendar project?

If you first select the calendar on the left, so that its background is highlighted blue/grey, when you make a new events they should be added to that calendar.

When you are the Family Sharing organizer, purchases are billed to your account unless the family member making purchases has an iTunes Gift Card or iTunes credit on their account. The attached article has more information on how this process works.

What I may suggest in your situation would be to discontinue the Family Sharing and use iCloud calendar sharing. Using this method keeps your accounts separate but allows you to still share your calendar.

iCal just shows the calendars you have created in your account(s). So if you are using iCloud just log into your iCloud account in a web browser and make as many new calendars as you wish to have. Then enable those in iCal.
If you use Google accounts or something else for the calendars, then create them as needed, and enable them in iCal.
I have several separate calendars all displayed in iCal - a couple linked through my Gmail accounts, and one through my iCloud account. Each uses a different default item color so they are distinct in iCal.

The paths won't agree on the two OSs so a simple XML import isn't likely to work.
See Sync iPod/iPad/iPhone with two computers and, if needed, Make a split library portable. The techniques in the first link will work when moving the library between Windows and OS X as long as the library is "portable", but iTunes takes quite some time checking the database when the library is opened under a different OS.
