Keyboard is acting wierd

Over the last week, some wierd keyboard things are happening. If I open FCP 5 FRESH, then I can make bins, sequences, etc, and TYPE in them. As soon as I play a clip in the timeline, I can no longer type in the browser. I can select (highlight) the info, but as soon as I start typing, the tool palette changes to whatever button was pushed (b for blade, a for pointer, etc). I have to restart the app in order for typing to return. I'm am so stumped. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I trashed my prefs already and that didn't help either. repaired disk permisions, etc. too

Is this issue creeping up in any other apps? (Or just Final Cut?)
Anyway, as keyboard-obessed as I am, I can only imagine this as my worst nightmare. I feel for you man.
Without really having a clue as to what could be causing your issues, I can only suggest that you can try re-downloading the updates to Final Cut Pro 5 - after entering your Apple ID, enter your serial number on the next page, then select only the 5.0.3 update on the page after that - and see if that corrects your issue.

Actually the Licensing information for the package is missing hence it is not launching any applications. You need to Reserialize the products using APTEE which you can find it on the Machine where you have created the package. If you dont have the access to that Machine then please download and install Creative Cloud Packager and it will download APTEE in the below mentioned location.
Windows:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\CCP\utilities
Once downloaded please follow this KB article to use the Tool.

If the photos are those that you've synced to the device from your computer then you will need to copy the directory that they are in on your computer. If they are photos that you've copied from your device to your computer theg you can also either copy their directory, or (if they are still on it) re-copy them from the device onto the new computer (photos to computer).

Standard keyboard is acting weird!

Just recently my keyboards been acting weird. Most annoying of the problems is when I am pressing delete and it gets to the end of the word and then inserts another word instead of deleting! At first I thought I was knocking letters around the delete button and the predictive text was inserting them but I've been very precise pressing the delete button and still it inserts words. Anyone else had this?

I just moved and when I started to type in my Mac Book Pro after not using it for a few weeks, every time I typed certain letters, two other letters in the same column appear (eg: when I type c, edc appear or frv when I type r). Numbers seems to work well though. Any ideas?

When you moved did you pack up your mac and did it have anything pressing on the lid and keyboard area?
Try a SMC reset and if that doesn't fix it you need to go to apple and probably have the keyboard replaced.

I just built a new computer with this board. I run an online graphical game (Dark Age of Camelot) for 1 hour, and then the virtual memory overloads and crashes the game. I do NOT have any of your other symptons tho. Possibly related? Latest drivers for everything, no viruses or spyware to be found. I havnt been able to locate this problem.

press and hold the home button and the lock button together for atleast 10 secs or till the time u see the apple logo,once you see the apple logo,let go off the keys... good luck

My crazy keyboard is acting erratically.

The keyboard, which comes with my new Mac Pro only two months ego, is acting erratically. When I pressing (Left Command + Z) for undo or (Shift + Q) it is not working. If press (Left Command + q) for quit from any applications, it mirrored two monitor (I’m using two display). Interesting thing is “left command” key is working with another combination like (Command + V), (Command + C) etc. I’m sure the problem is in keyboard, because I’ve tried by another keyboard and everything is working fine. Now my question is, how can I fix this keyboard? In Bangladesh there is no warranty for keyboard and mouse (My supplier said).

I am using macbook pro, been having a problem with my keyboard. Suddenly the uppercase, lowercase, numeric, etc are not working properly. I even cannot submit question to Apple, because I cannot type my password properly. Thank God I have this ipad, so I submit question using it.
This has only been going on several days, and it managed to frustrate me, as my work is much dependable on my laptop now. Please help.....I tried everything I know, unsuccesfully. Might have a hardware issue that was caused by the minor liquid spill.
Take it to Apple to have them look at it. I think they do a free diagnostics. That way you can find out what's wrong with your MB.

Macbook acting wierd even after fresh install of OS

i've got a 13" macbook i've had for a couple of years. i've had no problems with it until about a month ago when it started acting weird. it was becoming very slow and crashed regularly when i tried to run simple applications like itunes or safari. even when i tried to shut it down, it sometimes gave me that message on the screen where it informes you to hold down the power button to shut down.
i decided to do a complete re-install of my osx to give it a fresh start. so having re-installed leopard, and with nothing on my hard drive apart from the pro tools and cubase programs i've re-installed (it won't be these as they're both legit programs that i've been using on this mac for 2 years), it still seems to crash and not shut down properly.
i've actually done another clean re-install a couple of days ago to see if this made a difference, but sti ll the same problems.
i was under the impression that any viruses or bugs that we're making my mac act weird would have been wiped when i done a fresh install of my os.
can anyone tell me where i'm going wrong?

It's not a virus.
The screen you see (that requests you to restart your computer) is referred to as a kernel panic; these are often hardware-related.
What you're describing sounds like a possible hard drive failure.
Have you run the Apple Hardware Test? Is your computer still under warranty?
Get your data backed up, if you haven't already, just in case!

Select-option of a variable is acting wierd in web report

Hi,
I am getting the following error in web report when I click a select option button of variable. Has any of you come across this situation ?
Error: <b>"System error in program CL_RSR_WWW_RENDERER and form GET_VARDEF_FOR_F4:03 (see long text)"</b>
We are on BI 7.0.
The ABAP code in the above mentioned Class & method are in sync with a relevant OSS note 671405.
This is kind of wierd to me as it doesn't give any error when I run the same report in our QA Portal, It is happening only in our BW Production system.

The OSS note you specified is for 3.x and you mentioned you are on nw2004s.
Whats the Support pack you on currently.
I saw couple oss for SP-8 and 9 for the error you mentioned howver ,I presume you should be minimum on SP-10 ,so those may not help.
You may wish to take a look at OSS below-

PS- As a part of sanity check if your QA and PROD are on same support pack.

How to get keyboard to act like windows

I have bootcamp installed with a copy of windows on a macbook pro. When I'm in the windows mode the keyboard will not function like windows. It is still set up for apple.
Can I change this?

Firefox 4.0 acting wierd

I have a folder on my desktop I call this My Web Sites, in it I have websites I go to a lot ,But ever since I updated to Firefox 4.0 it works wierd, when I double click on My Web Sties folder it open,I double click on any of the web sites to open and I get a window up saying windows does not know this site, but after a few seconds it will ope to the site I want .This dont happen with the old Firefox only sinc I updated to firefox 4.0

I found the problem.
The Smart Update on SpyWare Dr. had gone dumb. It was updating the virus database files - but, it had stopped updating the version of the application. As a result, My version # was 8.0.0.608 when it should have been 8.0.0.624. That far of a stretch with current database updates resulted in a psychosis that was hostile to almost all things FireFox.
After updating SpyWare, then updating the update, testing FF 4.0 RC1 in Safe-Mode and regular, rebooting - and, checking again = The FireFox 4.0 RC1 is working fine

My Bridge Is Acting Wierd With Huge Thumbnails

I just backed up my files on Webroots backup system. Now, the bridge is acting strange. The thumbnails are HUGE. I can use the slider to make them a little smaller but if they get too small they disapear. I reinstalled the Ps and Br part of the disk, but I have also noticed that when I am in Br and want to go to Edit>Preferrences, I always get a Br problem and it has to close. Running on Windows XP, and Ps cs3. Thanks. Glenn
