Keyboard is not working well

I'm trynig to type with my new ipad mini and some programs is not working very well
all the times wen i'm typing at IM+ the keyboard is behind the letters and i can't see what i'm typing
I rebbot twice and didn't works
IS annyone having the same problem?

I'm having a lot of issues with my ipad Mini as well, mostly keyboard related.
There is a fix that was posted elswhere on this forum that seems to have helped me (although I have other issues surface)
I don't have the link handy but basically you:
1. dock the keyboard (hold down the keyboard icon when it is up - bottom right - and select dock)
2. Reboot the unit (hold down HOME + POWER until the apple logo comes up)
That apparently fixes it.
However, I'm also have issues where I press a key and another key depresses which is across the screen. If I hold down that keyboard icon, for example, the space bar goes nuts and depresses repeatedly, and then siri kicks in.
Split keyboard, at times, also seems to be ignored and covers up text (it doesn't scroll up).
Othertimes, when I am typing, a spot on the other end of the mini gets depressed. This is either a keyboard issue or a touch-screen issues. Either way, it's a problem.
Anyone else having keyboard / touch screen issues?

  • Keyboard mapping not working well

    Hi,
I have this weird problem. My keyboard starting typing junk characters (the ones which comes after pressing option key).
Apple tech guys told me that my keyboard needs to be replaced and I replaced it but still the same problem.
Please refer the keyboard viewer screenshot below to see the way my keyboard looks and types in these characters.
After doing some research I found a software called "Karabiner". The moment I load this app .. everything is back to normal.
I can type is all normally and no bad characters.
The problem comes back in when I try to restart my mac and then again I cannot type in my password field as it types in junk characters in the password field. And since Karabiner cannot be started before login I get stuck ..,... Can anyone help me as what exactly my problem is and how to rectify this ?
Any help in any direction will be highly appreciated.

    Hi everyone,
hope someone can help me to solve my problem. I have a MPB13 retina late 2013 since something like 3 months. I have additional screen (dell), usb wired keyboard (apple) and BT magic mouse.
Since a few days, my usb keyboard does not work well. It only want to work properly when plugged to the rights side usb port internal port and not anymore on the left one. It also work on a usb external concentrator. Before, I had no problem, it worked perfectly. There was no problem such as cofee on it...
After searching the web on such problem, I tries a few things such as:
I tried the keyboard on another computer (windows): works fine
I tried usb stick and external DVD reading on the left internal usb ports: works fine
I switch the MPB off and turn it back on: the usb keyboard still does not work on the left usb port
I tried the SMC and PRAM reset : nothing
    Any idea ??

  • Keyboard trackpad not working

All of a sudden my keyboard and trackpad don't work on my Macbook. USB keyboards and mice work fine. I took off the keyboard and tried it on another Macbook and it worked fine. Don't know if any recent updates or firmware changes have been done. Any ideas of how to fix or is this a motherboard issue?

Well I opened it clicked a few things with my "wireless mightymouse" and went to type keyboard did not work so i tried the track pad. So i found this post looking on the web. looked other placess. thought i would shut it down as soon as it went off it immediately turned back on. so i tried again. no luck so i took out the batery unpluged it. Then it would not turn on. Apple is sending a box by monday. I told them i think it is a logicboard="motherboard" problem.

  • Windows 8.1 freeze on any hardware scan or changes. USB wireless keyboard mouse not working

Problem : System Freezes frequently on any hardware scan or changes.
Symptom : Wireless Keyboard Mouse not working.
    Caused by : VMkbd.sys located in C:\Windows\System32\drivers.
Issue : VMware player or VMware Workstation installed on Windows 8.1 causes compatibility issue leading to system freeze
Soultion : Please follow steps below
    Step 1: Start > run > regedit
    Step 2: Locate to this registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e96b-e325-11ce-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Step 3: On the left side plane, Right click on the registry {4d36e96b-e325-11ce-BFC1-08002BE10318} and then export it as backup. Just to be safe.
Step 4: Edit the UpperFilters, The value current would be kdbclass vmkbd. Remove the vmkbd. So only value left would be kbdclass.
Step 5: Restart your system and connect your USB wireless reciever. If all is well it will not freeze your windows now.
This worked for me. Hope this works for you. Enjoy..!!

  • Soft KeyBoard is not working on ios 7 with Air sdk 3.8

    Hi
In my app Soft KeyBoard is not working on ios 7 with Air sdk 3.8. Does any one know soluton for this ?

    Hi,
There's no question that TextFields and TextAreas weren't working in our case, likely because we have a deep displaylist with a variety of object types. Presumably, AIR has changed how it looks through the displaylist for objects that need keyboard, and perhaps we have an object type somewhere in the hierarchy that AIR no longer recurses. It's definitely something that changed, though.
It's no picnic to put together a sample app, I can't afford that time when I have a solution. But the symptom was very clear, a textbox would open, and the cursor would just blink with no way of interacting with it.
I'm happy using StageText directly, because it's a more direct way to interact with the OS and gives more control.
It also solves a bug in AIR that I haven't reported yet, but is as follows. Rarely, when you move the container of a TextField of TextArea after it has been created, AIR will crash and freeze iOS devices. It doesn't happen on Android or desktop, but with a user-base of about 100,000 of our app, we've had it reported maybe 50 times. One of our dialogs sometimes needs to reposition the elements, which is done animated. During this, AIR will crash about 0.01% of the time. We tried only creating the TextArea, but not activating it or even having it visible, but even an invisible TextArea will crash, presumably because AIR moves the internal StageText overlay around as well, and this confuses iOS after a while during the animation.
By using StageText directly, I finally also have a way to get rid of this bug, because I simply don't activate StageText until the object has already been positioned. Prior to that, it isn't even an editable text field, it's a label like anything else. So I'm happy I did this solution.
Let's just leave this thread as a record if someone else has the same problem. I'm quite sure it's because of our very complicated display list, and AIR having changed how it scans the displaylist for objects that need keyboard.

  • The wireless keyboard is not working with my iPad2. I turned on Bluetooth and paired it.  What else is there to do?

The wireless keyboard is not working with my iPad2.  I turned on bluetooth and paired the device.  What other hidden step is there to do?

Well, the tiny green light comes on and blinks. . . After a frustrating time, I turned everything off.  Later, when I tried the keyboard again, it worked.  I guess the bluetooth process takes longer than expected.  So thank you for taking the time to help a technically impaired person!!

  • Keyboard is not working

    Hi everyone,
I was hoping someone could help me with a question,
My laptop keyboard is not working, it was working until I plugged in a usb connected wireless keyboard that I was working on a projector with, after I removed the usb connection it would not work not just the keyboard but also the mute button and the wireless button as well. I have already tried restarting the computer, checking device manger to see if the usb keyboard was somehow still connected, it was not. No, nothing was spilled on the laptop at all, I have a three feet zone of no liquids or food around my laptop at all times. It is less than a month old, a Zbook 15.
Any sort of help would be great thanks.

  • Touchsmart 520-1047c Mouse and Keyboard will not work after sleep mode

I have an issue which I need some help with. When my computer goes to sleep the wireless mouse and keyboard will not work unless I restart, however each one will wake the system up but will not operate after that. I have tried just making the display go to sleep, both go to sleep but that makes no difference same issue occurs. The only work around I have found is going into the power settings and turning the sleep mode off for booth the computer and display. This does not solve the problem it just masks it. New batteries, unplugged and replugged the dongle, updated the bios and all drivers. Don't know what else to try. Anybody know how to fix this? Thank you in advance for your help.

Lots of WIFI needs a username and password to get access. I guess you're lucky and yours is set up unsecured.
Normal secured WiFi requires only a password to get access. The password is used to encrypt traffic between your device and the WiFi access point. If whatever you are using requires a username as well then it is not simply normal secured WiFi. It might be a subscription WiFi service like GOGO, ATT, etc., or a service with authentication, i.e., college campus, etc. To help you out we need to know what you are using and what connection dialog you are being presented with. You don't have exactly the same problem as the original poster. He is having a problem entering a password into the password dialog that iOS presents when one tries to connect to a normal secured WiFi network. Could you clarify exactly which WiFi service you are using.

  • Hp Mini 110 1013tu Keyboard is Not working after upgrade to win 7

Hello need help on weird happenings to my keyboard..
Before i upgrade the Operating System From Windows XP to Windows 7 the Hp Mini 110 is working fine..
All keys on keyboard is working and touchpad is also working.
But after upgrading to windows 7 some keys on keyboard are not working like z,x,c,v, left ctrl and other more keys..
what do you think is the problem??
    Hardware Issue? or Driver Issue?
    please help thank you..

    Hello @MysticDragon ,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand some of the keys on your keyboard are not working after installing Windows 7.
I do not see any drivers available for your notebook for Windows 7 on the HP website, so their might be some compatibility issues as it's going to rely on Windows update to find current drivers. This doesn't mean it will not work, but I cannot say for sure that it will.
    Try this:
    1. Click Start.
    2. Click Control Panel.
    3. Click Clock, Language, and Region.
    4. Click Region and Language.
    5. Click the Keyboards and Languages tab.
    6. Click Change keyboards...
    7. On the General tab, make sure English (United States) - US is selected in the Default input language field.
    8. Click on any other keyboards in the Installed services list.
    9. Click Remove.
    10. Repeat for all other non-English (United States) keyboards.
You may also want to try rolling back to Windows XP and see if the issue persists. It is possible the issue is coincidental and not the direct result of the update to Windows 7.
Let me know if this works!

I look forward to your reply and a resolution of this problem.
    Thank you very much!!!

You are welcome. I'm glad you got it back up.
    (1) You say you did the symbolic link. I will assume this is set correctly; it's very important that it is.
    (2) I don't know what you mean by "Been feeding the [email protected] for several weeks now, 700 emails each day at least." After the initial training period, SpamAssassin doesn't learn from mail it has already processed correctly. At this point, you only need to teach SpamAssassin when it is wrong. [email protected] should only be getting spam that is being passed as clean. Likewise, [email protected] should only be getting legitimate mail that is being flagged as junk. You are redirecting mail to both [email protected] and [email protected] ... right? SpamAssassin needs both.
    (3) Next, as I said before, you need to implement those "Frontline spam defense for Mac OS X Server." Once you have that done and issue "postfix reload" you can look at your SMTP log in Server Admin and watch as Postfix blocks one piece of junk mail after another. It's kind of cool.
    (4) Add some SARE rules:
Visit http://www.rulesemporium.com/rules.htm and download the following rules:
    70sareadult.cf
    70saregenlsubj0.cf
    70sareheader0.cf
    70sarehtml0.cf
    70sareobfu0.cf
    70sareoem.cf
    70sarespoof.cf
    70sarestocks.cf
    70sareunsub.cf
    72sare_redirectpost
Visit http://www.rulesemporium.com/other-rules.htm and download the following rules:
    backhair.cf
    bogus-virus-warnings.cf
    chickenpox.cf
    weeds.cf
    Copy these rules to /etc/mail/spamassassin/
Then stop and restart mail services.
There are other things you can do, and you'll find differing opinions about such things. In general, I think implementing the "Frontline spam defense for Mac OS X Server" and adding the SARE rules will help a lot. Good luck!

  • Keyboard does not work after using Support Drivers

I have a Macbook Pro 4,1 15" 2.4GHz C2D, and managed to get Bootcamp installed on it with Win7 Home Pro. I have verified that it runs correctly, but it is missing many of the drivers needed to make things run smoothly. I no longer have my Leopard disks that the machine came, so I figured the WindowsSupportDrivers would be the way to go.
When I install them and reboot, the keyboard does not work. When I hit capslock, I get the caution notice indicating underneath my password field indicating the capslock key is on, so it's not like my entire keyboard is disabled. The system is unusable right now, since I have to enter my password to login, and it does not take any keyboard input. Using an external keyboard did not resolve this issue.
I did a system restore to get it back to a usable state for the time being.
Is there an alternative to the BCA support drivers or the Leopard disk? What's going on with my keyboard after the driver update?

Maybe you have installed obsolete drivers. If you have Lion, open Boot Camp Assistant (Applications > Utilities) in OS X and download Boot Camp drivers
