Keyboard language change with Apple Care Protection Plan?

If I get the Apple Care Protection Plan for a Mid-2011 MacBook Pro 13-inch, can I change my keyboard language?
I understand that it is unibody, but if they can just swap it, that will be great, just wondering.

No, I mean the actual layout. the shapes and the locations of each keyboard is different if you compare the Japan and US layout. My dad has a US keyboard, and I have a Japan keyboard, and if you compare them, there are significant differences, such as the enter/return key is bigger, space bar is and delete key are smaller, and is missing the option key on the right of the space bar for the Japan layout, while the US layout has the opposite. The locations of some other keys are different, such as the caps key, fn key, and control key. I am used to the US layout so I want this changed.

  • Selling iPhone with Apple Care Protection Plan, Transfer required?

I am selling my old iPhone 3Gs (just upgraded to the 4s : D ) and it has two months of Apple Care Protection Plan left on it. I was wondering if it was necessary to transfer ownership of Apple Care Plan. The reason I ask is I cannot find my original receipt for the iPhone, nor the Apple Care paperwork, though I do have the original box with UPC.
I have heard people say that the Apple Care Plan follows the phone and not the owner, therefore the new owner would have no trouble getting service on this phone. However, when I tried to request service (just to see if he could do it) it asked me to log in with an Apple ID. I am wondering if the new owner entered his ID, could he request service? Or would it have to be my Apple ID?
    So I have two Questions:
    1) Do I really need to transfer the plan over to the new owner for him to be able to get service?
    2) Do you think apple would even transfer the plan without the Apple Care documentation, or the original iPhone purchase reciept?
Thanks in advance for the help

  • Apple care protection plan for macbook pro with retina display

hi!!! i recently purchased macbook pro with retina display. Im curious about the apple care protection plan to extend the warranty of my macbook. I would just like to ask if the apple care protection plan includes battery replacement w/in  the next 2 yrs?

it is like car insurance. You purchase it hoping to never need it. But thank your lucky stars for having it after the sheet metal goes CRUNCH!
BTW, AC needs to be activated while the base warranty is in effect. This means you can wait till the last month or so and avoid having to plonk all the cash up front.

  • How do I associate my Apple Care Protection Plan with my iPod Touch

I just bought a new iPod Touch and an Apple Care Protection Plan. The box indicates 'Auto Enroll' and there is no Applecare Agreement Number anywhere in the box (or on it as far as I can tell). I have tried every number I find on the box in that field when trying to register my AppleCare Agreement online and all of them are rejected. Can someone explain to me how 'Auto Enroll' is supposed to work and how I can register my AppleCare Protection Plan for my new iPod Touch? Thanks!

According to Apple Care, 'Auto Enroll' means that since I bought the iPod Touch and the Protection Plan at the same time at an Apple Store, that they are are already associated and that I didn't have to do anything to tie them together. Sure would have been nice if the Sales person mentioned that at the store so I didn't have to spend so much time trying to figure it out only to find out I didn't need to do anything.

  • Apple Care Protection Plan Question

I am experiencing trouble with my trackpad. The mouse is erratic and is not in sync with my finger, it's almost impossible to navigate.
Does the apple care protection plan cover this?
I'm sure it isn't a software problem as I've gotten all recent updates.

If the trackpad is defective yes, they will replace it. There's a small chance the logic board is bad, but if that were the case, you'd likely be having issues with the keyboard too.
But like said, they will replace whatever needs replacing to make the system function as it should. Odds are it's just the trackpad, but if the logic board is bad, they'll replace that, and if it's maybe a swelling battery causing problems, that will get replaced. The odds of it being any other hardware component are pretty much none, so if it's not a software problem one, some, or all of those things will be replaced.

  • Activating my macbook pro 13" Apple Care protection plan

I purchased my macbook pro 13" in February 2011 from JBHIFI. I have not been using my laptop much and only recently opened up the original box for the laptop and found the apple care protection plan I had purchased with it, however not activated.
    And so, I've tried activating it online providing registration & serial numbers, however it says the following when I try and activate it;
"We apologize for any inconvenience, but registration for this product requires additional documentation. Please submit your proof of purchasefor review by Apple. If your registration is accepted, your product will be covered."
    - I click submit your proof of purchase
    - which then asks me "Please provide your mailing address and describe the reason for your submission."
After that it then asks me to provide the following information...
Gather your sales receipt (with the receipt number, product description, original date of purchase, and reseller details).
Gather the documentation that includes the agreement number for your AppleCare product, if applicable.
Tell us how you want to send your proof of purchase.
The problem is, i NO longer have the receipt, and so can not pass this stage. Why is the registration process being difficult for me?
If it helps, I tried registering over and over, not realising I had been pressing 1 key wrong (about 4 times).
    Help would be appreciated, thanks.

ah... I'll have to wait till tomorrow... they are closed today.

  • My MacBook Air is not being listed under the My Products tab after adding the Apple Care Protection Plan

I purchased my MacBook Air from US in December 2013, my company paid for it, so it got listed under their account earlier. So I asked them to remove it from there account and then I added it back to my profile in January 2014. Then it was listed under My Products tab in the My Support Profile page. Later I bought Apple Care Protection Plan for this MBA, and registered that plan with my MBA's serial number and soon after that, MBA vanished from My Products. I thought it might take some time for it to get listed back again after adding the protection plan, but it didn't appeared for quite a long time and so now I am opening this support ticket.
Now whenever I try to add my MBA again by clicking Register New Product, I am getting "According to our records, this serial number is registered to another Apple ID. If you have more than one Apple ID, log in to My Support Profile with that Apple ID to see your other registered products. Not sure if you have another Apple ID?" How can I get my MBA back into my profile?

AppleCare does not cover accidental damage, but try taking it to an Apple Store and see what they say!

  • I use Pro Logic 9 and see that to upgrade to Pro Logic X I need to buy the full package again. Does apple offer special conditions for their Apple clients ? Are users of apple care protection plan better served ?

I use Pro Logic 9.1.8.  and see that to upgrade to Pro Logic X I need to buy the full package again. Does apple offer special conditions for their Apple clients ? Are users of apple care protection plan better served ?

Old saying applies here most of the time......
"If it ain't broken, don't fix it"
I choose to use LP9 with Snow Leopard myself (10.6.8 and 9.1.6) for most of my commercial work simply because I find that combo very stable and provides the best overall performance for my setups here... but I am also using LPX with Mavericks as part of my client support and that works fine too although with a drop in performance due to the heavier demands made on the hardware by the newer OS X and LPX graphic routines for example..

  • Explain me about Apple care protection plan validity and coverage in india

Explain me about Apple care protection plan validity and coverage in india

From what I have read in the past, because India has no formal Apple stores and relies on a  re-seller system that hardly justifies the name, getting warranty service is difficult.   Those who sell Apple products tend only to service the products they have sold.    If you import a Mac, for example, the value of the international warranty appears to be at the whim of these re-sellers and I have seen many examples where they simply delay any service almost indefinitely.   All you can do is make a nuisance of yourself with Apple's head office and hope they will put pressure on these errant sellers.
The problem, it appears, is that the Indian government will not allow foreign companies to hold a controlling interest (or more than 50 %) of the shares ... as a result, I read, Apple will not open their own stores.

  • UPC rebate help/apple  care protection plan

I'm confused as to which UPC they want. It's the one with the serial/part numbers right?
There are like 3 or 4 labels on my box.
And on my Ipod, do they want me to cut out the little tiny UPC label to the Ipod box? (i could only find a shipping label on the actual cardboard box that it came in.)
All these random labels are confusing me.
Also, with the apple care protection plan, it came with a CD. do i need to install that onto my computer, or is it just a back up cd?
    help would be appreciated!

called the apple store and figured it out.
    thanks.

  • Can I purchase the "old" Apple Care Protection Plan for the iPhone 5S?

    Hi community,
I have an iPhone 5S since day one of launch (september 20th 2013) and I want to purchase an Apple Care Protection Plan for it.
As I remember it's possible to purchase it as long as the 1-year-warranty is running, so my time is limited :-)
It seems as if the "old" Protection Plan doesn't exist anymore, there's only AppleCare+ for purchase.
My problem is that AppleCare+ can only be purchased 30 days after the purchase of a new iPhone.
Am I still able to get the "old" Protection Plan with the same conditions or is there no chance?
    Thanx-a-lot in advance!

Call Apple care in your country they should advise you if you can purchase as you seem to have fallen between the two Plans if AppleCare+ was announced in your Country after the date you purchased your iPhone 5S

  • Apple Care Protection Plan for new laptop?

I just purchased a MacBook Pro 13", I was just wondering how long I have to purchase an Apple Care Protection Plan?

Up to one year from date of purchase - however, if you don't buy it withing 90-days of purchase, you'll only get the 90-day phone support. I usually buy AppleCare when I buy a new computer - 3 year warranty, 3 year phone support.

  • Apple Care Protection Plan for used Macs

I am planning to buy a used Mac. If it is out of warranty and not already under an Apple Care Protection Plan, can I buy some type of Care Plan for it?
    thanks,
    john

You might want to look into buying a refurb from Apple. They come with a one-year warranty, and if I am not mistaken you can also purchased AppleCare for refurbs:
