Keyboard MSI LED Problem

Its been weeks every since this happened. I'm not sure why but it only affects the LED. Nothing else. I can't open the keyboard LED manager and when I turn the LED on, it turns white. It just becomes white and no colours. It's kinda really boring without LED being colourful. I'm using on a GE 70 2QE Apache pro which is bought about a few weeks ago. I need an answer for this please!

You can renew ec firmware and KLM from msi website. You might need to install new .net framework from microsoft .

  • Z97 Gaming 7 won't post. debug LEDs at 41-43. MSI LED is off.

    Hi everyone,
Doing my first build in quite a few years so somewhat of a Noob. I'm using an MSI Gaming 7 and an Intel 4970k. I'm using 2x4GB Crucial 1833 SDRAM.
After hooking CPU and MB, and cooler (Evo 212) I decided to see if things boot before installing a dedicated GPU, drives, etc.
Unfortunately, I don't get to boot, and instead I get stuck in an early post: I go past 99->33-> then I eventually get stuck around 41-43 with the numbers occasionally shifting back. According to the manual, this is "early memory initialization error". I've tried using a single RAM in each of the slot, and then also tried the other one instead. No luck, always the same point.
Not sure what to do at this point, and whether there's a way to check if the MB or the CPU or both are hosed.
Also, I'm wondering why the MSI LED is not on. Should it be on up to the boot? What is its purpose?

    I'm using a Corsair CS650m.
I've noticed the CPU support issue after I encountered my problem and was surprised to see this, my understanding that the gaming boards did support the new Haswells, at least with a recent BIOS. In fact, there are some references online to BIOS update issues for this CPU.
Let me ask a crazy question: Is it possible that I've somehow POSTed correctly and what I'm seeing now is the CPU term? I'm wondering because the numbers (42-44) fluctuate a bit.  I know that POST and POST2 can be used for CPU temp, but I'm not sure how one distinguishes between that and a debug code.

My apple keyboard had some problems, the store replaced it for me. I had to sign in to my computer, and couldn't get to pair the keyboard with the computer, as could not sign in. I know there is a command that lets you override this, does anyone know which buttons to  press.  I gather when you do this, a box comes up and pairs the two with a number you have to type in.

  • Bluetooth keyboard and mouse problems

    Dear friends,
I think something is wrong with my bluetooth devices... They work perfecly well for a period of time (maybe 1 hour, maybe 2 minutes) and after this period they stop working well. They are not disconnected, they keep working, but they are super lagish, e.g. the mouse cannot be controlled, the keyboard have super latency or it keeps repeating a button i selected.
When this occurs I turn off bluetooth from my status bar, and turn it again on right away. That solves the problem for again a period of time. This issue was first introduced to me after I installed Lion on my mac. After this and some other problems I experienced in Lion, I decided to switch back to snow leopard again. The thing is that the problem persisted...
    Any suggestions ???
    Thanks

    OK. New input...
Updated again to Lion. As soon as I updated the problem began again. Once again I deleted the com.apple.bluetooth file and reset both pram and smc.
For two days my bluetooth devices were working perfectly fine. None issues.
Today, I was in a hurry and put my mac on sleep by closing the lid. As soon as I opened the lid again
    the problem unveiled again.
What on earth is happening ?? It cannot be a keyboard or mouse problem, can it ??
Little help, please... It seems managable, but performing a smc and pram reset every couple days doen't
    seem right...

         MSI motherboard problems
    « on: 17 November 2004, 06:34:44 am »
I just recently built a computer.
When I turn the computer on it stops at the MSI Platinum screen.
When I hit the reset button the computer reboots into windows. (Most of the times)
    I am not over clocking.
I have loaded the defaults in the BIOS.
I have flashed the BIOS, updated all motherboard drivers, and video drivers.
I have run memtest 23 passes and no errors.
I have a thermaltake power supply 400 watts.
There are no beeps codes at post. The case didn't come with a speaker.
I have installed windows xp media center twice.
Could this just be an unresolved Bios issue or a bad board?
The computer runs great except for the startup problem.
    Any suggestion would be helpful.

Try stripping down your system to bare minimum. Disconnect all CD drives, Floppy and HDD from your mainboard. Remove all un-needed cards. So you should have only the mainboard, CPU and RAM and a graphics card. Connect PSU to mainboard and power up. Now your PSU should be more than enough to power just that. Does it still lock???
If it does'nt then it something to do with one of the drives or optional cards you are fitting.
If it  does still lock then it something to do with the main components.
I once saw a similar issue to this which maybe unrelated but thats why i asked you to disconnect drives. The issue i saw was down to the HDD not being detected on cold boot. Thus hanging the system, if you left it long enough it carried on and then failed to boot. But press the reset button and it would detect the HDD and load windows, until you switched the PC off again and the cycle would repeat. Now that was fixed by getting a BIOS update. This may not having anything to do with your issue but might be worth a look trying what i said above.

  • Front Panel LEDs problems for Mega 180

Hi, it's rigth one year I got a Mega 180, and I've not ended yet to tune and optimize it
    I admit it's like a hobby now
I immediately ask you for my LEDs problems.
I have read many topics and maybe other people have the same my problem, also if I'm not sure if they treat about the Front Panel LEDs when they speak about the "LCD Display".
I have some switched off LEDs in my front panel, in the "time" displayng and in the volume bar: I have to substituite them? Someone have done it before? It's possible to remove the front panel or I have to disasseble all the pc
    Or it's a firmware problem?
I also thank all people that cured the section of optical devices compatibility: last week I bought a new Pioneer 111D, because my LG GSA-4167B was not suitable in the PC mode, for DVD playback.
In fact I had many problems for the DVD fluently playback: I have spent 4 months trying new video codecs and also substituting the video card, then I finally have understood that was an optical device problem.
The Pioneer 111D was perfect in the PC mode, but then I had problems for HI-FI playing mode
Then I finally used my old Pioneer 108, that I had in the old desktop, and all work (I pray) fine both in HI-FI and PC mode.
I'll be very happy also to describe to whom that will ask me, my experience with the Mega 180 "assembling", during the last year, hoping it could be useful for other people.
    Thanx

Initially, you might just hook your ring to a case structure to
    determine which frame exe
cutes. You can put the terminals for the
Booleans in the different diagrams and about the only other thing to
keep in mind is that you probably want a delay in the loop.

  • MSI GX701 Keyboard resonance sound problem

Greetings. I bought an MSI GX701 notebook two weeks ago, and I have the problem, that when I'm listening to music, playing games, ergo when any sound is played at medium to high volume a very disturbing resonating sound can be heard. I found out, that this sound is produced by the resonance of mainly the space, left shift, caps lock and tab buttons. I phoned to the hungarian MSI service to ask wether it is normal, or it is a unique problem, and they said in a phlegm tone, that it is normal because of the 4+1 speakers, and it occures at every notebook of this model, and does not have any sense go to the service with the laptom, because they can't do anything, and won't swap my product to another one.
Has anyone noticed this problem who had the same type or does anyone have any idea about that symptom?
    Thanks, Imre.

Correct (as far as I am aware). Gave my GX600 a quick look over, and I can only find two speakers, apparently there is some form of inbuilt bass driver in the laptop but I'm yet to hear much bass at all.
if your issue is a symptom of all laptops of that model, then that is incredibly frustrating, because RMA would A, not apply, and B, not fix the issue.
I would recommend the obvious, using external speakers/headphones, and after (and only) that, I would recommend some form of ghetto-resonance killer (blu tac, heh).

  • MSI K7N2 Delta, D Bracket LEDs problem

CAn anyone tell me where to find out information on the D bracket. My new system wony start and it indicates a problem with the inializing of the floppy drive controller. I have so far tried 3 floppy drives and four leads.

    Hi neusaap,
Are all the optical, DD5.1 software settings correct?...
I had also these problems, but only with MP3 files. I checked the settings, and muted the mic. line in, video I do not need. It's also important to ground your rig and receiver.
    Take care

  • 975X Platinum-PE PS/2 and HDD LED problems

    Hi All
Been having a few problems with my board.
When my Microsoft Wireless keyboard is connected to the PS/2 Ports directly it works fine, however I have two PS/2 2m extension cables, when I connect them the keyboard and mouse no longer work.
The other problem I have is that the Hard Disc LED is constantly dimly lit. When there is HDD activity it does flash bright with the actvity, would this suggest that there is a problem with the board?
    Thanks
    Shunts...

    Thanks for your reply.
The cables worked fine on the old MSI Board. Swapped to the new one - nothing.
Also the Dim Hard disk light is on when the POST is being performed, so it would suggest that there is a problem with the board or an Earthing Issue somewhere.
I have swapped it with another board and the hard drive light issue is still there.

  • Unresponsive Keyboard and Trackpad problem AT STARTUP + Sleep problem

When I turn on my computer it boots the OS and everything works except for the trackpad and the keyboard. I wait for about 5-7 minutes and then the trackpad and the keyboard start working.
    Additional problems:
If I try to sleep my computer, the screen turns off, but the computer never stops working, so I have to force it to shut down.
    Temporal Solutions
    1) Boot in safe mode, it solves the trackpad/keyboard problems but not the Sleeping problem
    Attempted fixes
    1) Conencted external keyboard mouse/keyboard. Doesn't work
    2) Reset the battery controller.
    3) Reinstalled 10.6
    4) Installed 10.5
    5) Installed 10.6.3
    Known Stuff:
    1) The trackpad/keyboard are always connected as I can move the mouse and use some gestures with the Better Touch Tool app, and the keyboard works because if I click the Caps Lock key, the small led turns on.
    2) Also, I have the HardwareGrowler app which tells me if hardware gets connected or disconnected and it never tells me anything about the trackpad/keyboard getting disconnected.
    3) The OS is working at startup because apps show stuff and get updated and I can still get growl notifications.
NOTE: This is an intermittent problem, about 1 out of 10 times I turn on the computer I GET the problem.
    Thanks a lot!

I came across a similar issue as the original poster. My trackpad and keyboard are unresponsive for 5 - 7 minutes after startup. I've updated my OS to 10.6.4 twice and it's still happening. I recognized this behavior after the Preferences->Network pane froze while I was trying to remove a VPN setting. Removing /Library/Preferences/SystemConfigurations did not help the problem.
Do any of you have advice on debugging the issue?

  • ...Another Spill. MBP Keyboard Backlight/trackpad problem

    Hello,
A friend (yes he remains a friend) recently spilled red wine all over my new Macbook Pro. I was very upset at first, but have calmed down... after several weeks. I've dried it out and I'm taking it to Apple to get it cleaned.
The only clear problems that exist at the moment: the keyboard is not illuminating fully, it is only bright in the middle; the tap-to-click feature on the trackpad has a one-second delay before any command is registered.
The problem with the keyboard backlight, i think, is due to wine staining the sheet of plastic separating the keyboard from the LEDs behind it. Could anyone suggest a means of cleaning this or any other method of reviving the backlight, IF they have not short-circuited.
Any suggestions other than getting Apple to help with the unresponsive trackpad?
    Thanks
    Jamie

What I was trying to communicate when I added "which will also include the trackpad" to a previous post was that the top case, the keyboard, the trackpad and various other internal parts that are attached to the inside of the top case will ALL be replaced when Apple repairs the machine, because Apple considers the whole assembly to be one part. Cleaning the keyboard effectively is impossible, but it would be pointless even if it were possible, because Apple is just going to discard or recycle it. When Apple repairs a machine, it comes back in virtual like-new condition — there are no partial repairs. You may prefer not to spring for a complete overhaul, but that's what you're going to get — and pay for — regardless.

  • HELP !! LED problem

Hello, my a/c unit recently dropped some water on my 8900 which at first I thought was only on the outside. I dried it off. The next thing it did was refuse to connect to my server. When I opened it, that's when I saw the amount of water inside the phone - on the sim card, battery etc. I dried it out again and left it open to dry even more. After some time it connected  to the server, but had a flickering screen. I dried it out again. Now it seems to be OK - no flickering, but now my LED has stopped flashing to show connection, messages or bluetooth. I have checked in SETTINGS for the LED acitvation and see that it is selected to on, but no light for connection, bluetooth, message but it comes on for charging. Any ideas what might be the problem. Could it be something I am not doing? Or will I need the Blackberry technicians..?>
