Keyboard not storing short cuts and phrases anymore in iOS7?

I updated to iOS7 and realised that the keybord shortcuts that I used to have in my iOS6 no longer work on the iOS7, Even if I did try to enter a shortcut manually by going into the keyboard section in the settings, it does not store the short cut. It can get really annoying once you have gotten used to the short cuts while texting and I happen to text a lot. Any of you guys have a solution for me?

Hey Mani, I also have this issue but with my I-Mac since I updated to Mavericks. And it also freaks me out... But with my Mac Book and I Phone it still works under IOS7.. strange.. So far no one responded.. So I will see if there is a solution for this.

You can install it on your iOS device (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) either by redownloading it directly on the device via the Purchased tab in the App Store app on it, or by connecting the device to your computer's iTunes and syncing it to it.

It sounds like the WhatsApp app on your iPhone does not have a visible keyboard. I recommend following the steps in the article below for an issue like this (you can skip step 3 since it is not related to this issue):

Keyboard short-cuts and comment-enabled PDF's

I'm running AR7.0.9 under SuSE 10.1 and I have the following problem when working with a comment-enabled document, such as the JavaScript reference manual. Once I've used the highlighting tool, whose keyboard short-cut is U, I find that I can no longer enter the letter U when composing a note. Similarly, once I've added an attachment, whose keyboard short-cut is J,
I can no longer enter J into a note. Is this a known problem?
Or is there something wrong with my setup?

Keyboard not working at boot and CD won't boot

Hello everyone,
I think I have a very particular issue that hasn't happened to many people since I could not find any topics talking about this already. Before I begin, let me excuse myself for my bad english writing.. it ain't my primary language.
Ok so I was already running Mac OS X 10.5 and decided to try bootcamp so I could use Autocad in Windows XP. What I did is start the bootcamp assistant and install Windows XP. After the installation my computer was booting with that "Disk error" message.
Ok no worries, I had all my files backed up on my external hard drive but for some very weird reason, my original Mac OS X Leopard DVD would not boot anymore and it was still saying "Disk error". I decided to try holding "C" at startup to boot from the DVD but it would not work. I can hear the DVD working but it's still not booting from it.
I thought my DVD was defect so I try booting up from my Windows CD and when it asked me to "press any key to boot from CD" i realized that my keyboard was not working during startup. Any startup key like "C", ALT, Command or any other keys were not working. Even the light on the capslock key would not work when i pressed the key.
I had an old Knoppix Live CD which is a Linux and that booted fine. When that boots it asks me to press a key to boot or to wait 2 minutes and it will boot on it's own. I couldn't press a key to boot so I waited 2 minutes and my keyboard started working when the Linux OS was booted. I managed to erase the partition table of my harddrive to start from scratch but my Mac OS DVD would not boot either way and my keyboard is still not working at boot (in the gray screen where you can actually use startup shortcuts normally).
I also tried to boot with my old Mac OS 10.4 DVD and I had the same results.
Before you ask, yes I tried another USB keyboard, I also tried all 3 USB ports. The only thing that works at boot is when I hold the mouse button to eject my CD/DVD. But all my keyboard shortcuts doesn't work and I can boot from any installation CD (windows, linux) but not Mac OS 10.4 or 10.5.

Okay so I managed to fix this problem with another apple keyboard, the mac os installation would still not boot but at least I was able to press N to boot from network and start a Mac OS from the network. From there I could insert the Mac OS installation disc and start the installation from there and now everything works fine. Thanks to everyone for your help.

Can not create short cut link in Cross-Site Content at WPC

im new in web page composer.please guide me...i had configured my entry point at wpcDragExplorerEntryPoints property. its working but its working ( the folder which i want was appeared) when i want drag and drop into my page. but when i want to create short cut link in Cross-Site Content folder, the folder which i want to use is not appeared. just appeared Favorites folder, Public Documents folder, Personal Documents folder, Recently Used folder, Common folder, Web content...so, i cant create new short cut link to my folder. i create my folder in /pcd/portal_content/myfolder..can someone guide me how to solve this?

Won't cut and paste anymore

Eversince the Mavericks upgrade, I can't cut and paste in the calandar app anymore. Let me try to explain:
Every month, I get a new schedule for work, and I have to manually enter it in to my calander app. It then sinks to my phone, ipad and work macbood air. I only have 2 or 3 different catagories that I use for any given day, and I used to just copy one catagory from, say November 14th, and then click on November 29 and paste the same catagory and time. Now it will only paste on the date that I copied from (ie it'll just put another copy of the same job & time on the same day).
Is this happening to anyone else, or just me?

RAR5.3 not able to cut and paste list of users to Multiple Selection screen

CC V4.0 on ABAP system has a feature where you can cut and paste a list of many users from the clipboard to Single Values column in the Multiple Selection screen, so you can run SOD Analysis Report for all those users. The Multiply Selection screen is a standard SAP supplied pop up screen.
With RAR 5.3 the Multiply Selection screen design is different. There is no longer feature to cut and paste from clipboard. We have to input each user one at a time. So if you have many users (20, 30, etc.) it is a time consuming task. It is not acceptable to our business power users.
We can import the list of users to a Custom User Group (in the Configuration Tab). First of all, there is no mass delete on Custom User Group. You have to delete each user one at a time which is time consuming. The alternative is to create a new Custom User Group each time, then it becomes a maintenance nightmare. Secondly, it is in the Configuration Tab which is only available to Administrators (fear of users changing configuation data), so the Administrator (or whomever has access to the Configuration Tab) has to maintain the Custom User Groups which is a lot of work for him or her or them.
We talk to SAP every week. But they are looking at this as a long time project. Does any one of you (or your company) has the same requirements? How do you get around it? Did you setup some other procedures so users can cut and paste the users list and run the Risk Analysis report themselves?

This is probably a JVM issue. Are you using JInitiator or the IE native JVM?
I suggest you turn on the JVM console, set the trace level to maximum, and then watch what happens when you attempt the copy.
Also, check the key mapping (usually ctrl-k) that the forms applet is implementing. Perhaps ctrl-c means something else...

A likely cause is the website email uses a rich text editor, in which case you should be able to enable copy/paste by following the instructions in this article - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Granting_JavaScript_access_to_the_clipboard

Italics and boldface not preserved in cut-and-paste from InDesign CS3

This is using Mac InDesign CS3 5.0.1 and Mac Dreamweaver CS3
9.0.
When cuting-and-pasting text from InDesign CS3 to Dreamweaver
CS3, basic text formatting such as italics and boldface are not
preserved for me. When I select Edit, Paste Special in Dreamweaver,
the "Text with structure plus basic formatting (bold, italic)" is
not selectable when the clipboard holds InDesign-origin text.
If I paste the same InDesign text into Word, the formatting
is preserved and if I then cut-and-paste from Word into
Dreamweaver, boldface and italics are preserved. But I don't want
to cut-and-paste everything twice!
Do others experience this too?

Apparently it is an issue with Leopard (and Illustrator)
Workarounds:
1) Export from InDesign as eps or PDF, or
2) Copy paste into Photoshop as a Smartobject, and then double click the layer to edit smart object (it will open in Illustrator)

Encrypted Pictures not readable after cut and past on my laptop

Hi,
I have cut and past my pictures from my BB Bold ans as they are encrypted (.rem) I cannot open the files in windows.
I see after that i have to use desktop manager to move the files and uncrypted them.
But now when i tried to move again the file ot my BB, the files are not recognized by the terminal ..
do you know if a method exist to be able to recover the pictures ?

If I read you correctly, you are describing the performance of BBOS and content protection (encryption) and not a malfunction.
Here is some information that should help you.
- if you copy and paste a file that is encrypted, it remains encrypted, as you found
- if the file is encrypted (.rem extension) and you use the desktop software to copy or sync, the copied file on the computer is not encrypted, as you found
- when you enable encryption, the files that are already on the SD card remain unencrypted, and only files that are written or modified after encryption is enabled will be encrypted (again, this is BBOS)
- I'm not sure about files in device storage memory, so you will need to test unless you look it up or someone answers, but I'm assuming when you enable content protection all of the files in this location will be encrypted
- for files that are encrypted (have .rem extension) if you disable content protection and then act on the file, the encryption will be undone (and .rem extension removed) -- acting on the file can be moving it, renaming it, etc -- and files that are encrypted and not acted upon while content protection is disabled will remain encrypted

L420 Several number keys on keyboard not working (except 5 and 6)

Hi there,
I am having some troubles with the keyboard of my L420. All the numbers (except 5 and 6) and F9 to F12, Insert and Delete are not working.
I found several threads with people describing the same problem (all numbers except 5 and 6 not working) but no solutions yet.
I have tried a System Restore, uninstall the keyboard, and an external keyboard. The numbers do not work neither when running Ubuntu nor in BIOS.
The problem first occured when I woke my laptop from Sleep and tried to enter my password. After using the onscreen keyboard, I was able to login and the numbers worked again. Then after restarting, the numbers stopped working even in Windows running.
I would appreciate any help on this problem. Can someone exclude that it is a hardware problem because 5 and 6 are working? I did not spill anyng on or damage the keyboard.

Use the Keyboard Viewer to test whether the keyboard keys are responding correctly when they are pressed.
1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple () menu, then choose Language & Text from the View menu (or International from the View menu in Mac OS X v10.5 or earlier).
2. Select Input Sources.
3. Select the Keyboard & Character Viewer checkbox.
4. Enable the input source for the keyboard layout you are testing by selecting the checkbox next to it.
5. Make sure that "Show Input menu in menu bar" is enabled.
6. Choose Show Keyboard Viewer from the Input menu in the menu bar, as shown.
7. The Keyboard Viewer shows the keyboard layout.
8. Type the key on the keyboard that doesn’t respond and observe whether the corresponding key highlights on the Keyboard Viewer. If it does, that particular key is functioning correctly. In the sample shown above the shift and command keys are being pressed.
9. If the mouse keys feature in the Universal Access System Preferences pane is enabled, many of the keyboard keys may not respond as expected.
10. Try starting up into single user mode to determine whether a software issue is causing the issue.

Wine-WoW is not maximizing over dock and toolbar anymore

Hi, today I ran a pacman -Syu and it updated both wine and nvidia (among the kernel and other packages). But now when I start World of Warcraft (I run it with wine) it doesn't maximize over the dock and toolbar anymore.
I'm running fluxbox (1.1.1-1) and the following updates were installed:
wine (1.1.5-1 -> 1.1.6-1)
nvidia (177.80-1 -> 177.80-2)
kernel26 (2.6.26.5-1 -> 2.6.27-2)
FEAR runs fine through wine (it still maximizes over dock and toolbar), I have no clue what might cause this weird WoW behaviour.
edit: seems that 1.1.6 is causing some other trouble with WoW to other users as well, so this might be wine's fault and be fixed at some point (or it might have some other reason).

I had similar problems when trying to record OpenGL games with FFMpeg CLI. I use the catalyst-test drivers for my AMD HD 6870.
You could try downloading SimpleScreenRecorder via yaourt; get both, including the lib32-simplescreenrecorder.
There will be some conflicts, but choosing to replace some files hasn't caused any problems.
Make sure you have both lib32-libpulse and lib32-alsa-plugins installed (pacman).
Once everything is in set, open SSR (SimpleScreenRecorder); set audio input to:
- Record Microphone
- Backend: PulseAudio
- Source: Monitor of Built-in Audio Analog Stereo
I chose to output as MKV ; H.264 ; MP3 @128
Select Start Recording and fire up WoW. I was able to playback the game-play video (full screen 1920x1080) with audio.
You may need different settings from what I have, notably the audio, but it should record in full screen mode.
