KeyBoard Shortcut, please help!

Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a shortcut for switching through different IMS when chatting with multiple people.

Not even in iChat 3
If there were an option to do this it would show in the iChat Window Menu when you had Text Chats open.

IChat screen sharing - switch computer keyboard shortcut? Help please.

When I am screen sharing with a person in order to switch to my computer I must move my mouse and click the window in the bottom left...when doing so I interrupt something someone is doing on their computer...is there a keyboard shortcut to switch between the two computers without moving your mouse?

Ok, I just found out how to do this. It isn't an official solution, but it works quite well.
Simply press the power button. You will then regain control of your mouse. Hit command-tab or use the dock to switch apps. Do not click cancel until you've switched apps, or you'll be thrown back into the screen sharing. Once you're out of iChat, you can do whatever you need to do. The Mac you were sharing with will remain in the background above your desktop, so you can keep an eye on it. When you need to get back in control of the action, just click into the other Mac's screen, which is effectively an iChat window. iChat will return to the foreground, and you'll be back where you started. Further to the list of documented keyboard shortcuts which is currently posted on www.lightroomextra.com, I'm now going back through reformatting them into a more useable format (by action and module rather than key combination), and adding the missing shortcuts.
The only shortcuts currently in the list are those documented on the shortcuts window for each module, and those listed next to menu items.

Thanks Victoria for all of your work, but I have a question for Adobe - I've looked in the rudimentary PDF help file provided by Adobe and the HTML help file when using the application for a link to the Auto-Sync function. It's mentioned once - quote "Previous, Sync or Auto-Sync These buttons toggle according to whether you have one or more photos selected in the Filmstrip. .... Auto-Sync adjusts other selected photos after each slider is moved". No advice as to how they toggle, nor to how to use it or what it does. The question - how come there are so many 'undocumented' pieces of probably very powerful functionality ie undocumented keyboard shortcuts. It wasn't until I viewed one of Michael Tapes videos that I finally got some useful info on how to apply a function (eg applying Auto-Tone via Auto-Sync) and not settings to a group of selected photos. In other words, the usefulness of a really powerful feature (Auto-Sync) is hidden to most users and undocumented. Thanks Michael and Victoria, brick-bats to Adobe for lacklustre documentation. Apart from the documentation and the almost next to useless slow speed of the Spot/Healing tool, I really like Lightroom - thanks Adobe :).

Keyboard Disabled Please Help!

Does Adobe Encore 2.0 have a function of disabling the keyboard?
I am new to Encore so I started playing around with it. But now, my keyboard doesnt work in Encore. Weird thing is that my keyboard can still work in Premiere, AfterEffects, Photoshop.
In Encore, I cannot use the space bar, delete button and any of the shortcut keys.
Can anyone help??

Where are you using these keyboard shortcuts? Do they all not work, or just some?

KEYBOARD WRECKED - PLEASE HELP!

My dog got scared and jumped on my bed where my laptop was and then proceeded to rip off the M, Shift, alt option and the left hand apple keys. the space bar is also messed up - i have to slam it in order for it to work - it seems jammed. And that's not all. The apple key that i mentioned is missing - i can't find it anywhere! and i also can't figure out how to fit the keys back on (some little pieces of plastic also came off, i have them here.)
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!
do i need to take it into the apple store? b/c i can't. im leaving for another state tomarrow! can i fix the keys @ home? and can i somehow get a replacement apple key??

When my iBook G3 600 keys came off, it was a matter of trial and error getting back the scissor key mechanism. Sometimes you have to just fiddle with them until it feel right. I haven't had any problems with my iBook G4 1.42 keyboard.
In a worst-case scenario (like broken parts), you might want to simply replace the keyboard. Seems like an easy thing to do (follow the links for installation instructions).

Keyboard Bug - PLEASE HELP!

I've purchased my Z10 less than 1 week ago and I've noticed this problem the very next day. At first I assumed it was a small problem and it wouldn't happen often but it's been occuring EVERY DAY at least once and it's gotten really irritating now.
The virtual keyboard on the Z10 works perfectly fine, the buttons dont stick, spell check is working properly and I'm able to type with this keyboard with no problems, HOWEVER for some odd reason the keyboard STOPS functioning sometimes while I'm sending an SMS. The keyboard is still visible, I'm still able to press the buttons on the keyboard as they become highlighted whenever I do. However, no actual letter/character appears in the message box no matter how many buttons I press. The only thing which seems to temporarily fix this problem is restarting my blackberry Z10 device which can be very annoying and time consuming.
Please help me out with this problem as I have tried searching online for days and can't find a solution. Is this a problem with the Z10 software? will there be an update fixing this? am I the only one experiencing this problem?
Please note that I have not once dropped my phone, it's been kept in MINT condition with a case on it. Everything else works perfectly fine with my Z10, this is the only MAJOR issue

I just tried exactly what you said. Mis-spelled a word (easy for me) , hit the red underlined word, it popped up a window that said 'no suggestions', I tapped at the end of my sentence and carried on typing. No hang up at all.

I accedently spilled water over my keyboard! PLEASE HELP!

3 days ago, I was doing my work when I accidentally spilled sprite or water onto my iPads Bellkin ultimate keyboard for generation 2 iPad. It still worked, but 10 min later, it just stopped. I tried putting rice on the keyboard because rice is a fast water absorber, and only some keys worked, or the keys just flipped with other keys. I tried researching a cure, and the first step is usually take the batteries out, right, but this keyboard dosn't use batteries. Please help? Anyone?

Can you afford some new silica gel packets? By some and then shake the keyboard to get all the raw rice out of it and put the keyboard and the packets in a large baggie. Let it sit for 4 to 5 days in a cool, dry place like a cupboard. After that try it again.

There is no real wizard for doing that, BUT it is doable. Open the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog, and create a duplicate of one of the existing keyboard sets. Customize as needed. This creates an XML file buried in the User>Library> Application Support>Adobe>Fireworks CS5.1>en/keyboard shortcuts folder. Not sure where the equivalent folder is on Windows, tho. Then share that XML file. As long as other users put the file in the same location, they should be able to select it from their own Keyboard Shortcuts panel.
BUT do not delete an active keyboard set within that folder. On the Mac at least, FW coughed up an error when I did that and then tried to access the panel again.

Keyboard shortcut for "Help" search menu (CS6)

Hello,
In CS5 I managed to remove all shortcuts overriding the CMD + Shift + 7, thus being able to use that standar shortcut for executing a menu search on Mac OSX.
Since switching to CS6 (and importing my keyboard shortcuts from CS5), CMD + Shift + 7 doens't work anymore when I'm working in an artboard.
_However_, if I have a modal view (e.g. "Preferences > General") open, the shortcut works as intended...
Any leads, anyone?

Command . will close the spotlight window but keep the search in there.
It will be there next time you hit Command spacebar
Hitting the Escape keep will be the same as hitting the x

Deleted Start Menu Shortcuts - Please help!

I have managed to use some recovery software which has found many shortcuts but only appears to have the filename and not the actually path to which it points. It could be a new installation of some other software that's causing it. Like a VST or DX effect or maybe even some Nero product... This link might help:

The DirectX managers at the bottom of that page should allow you to disable or enable any effect that could cause Audition to fail...
If that doesn't help then try uninstalling and then deleting or renaming any Audition folders in the %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local folder. Then install Audition again...
Still not working? Then I suggest testing your memory using something like Memtest86, but you'll have to burn a boot CD, DVD or make a bootable floppy disk. Once you boot from the disc then it's pretty much automatic and might take 15 to 20 min to complete...
Once you're sure it's not a memory problem then run ScanDisk on all of your drives. Make sure to select 'Automatically fix file system errors' and 'Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors'. If it asks you if you want to perform the scan next time windows starts then click yes, but go through and scan all the other drives before restarting...
If the memory and hard drive scans don't find anything then I'd say it's your windows installation or possibly an undetected virus... Go and re-install windows. It would probably take less time to re-install windows then to do all that, but it's better to know your in complete working order...

Z10 Keyboard Issue, Please Help

I am hoping that there might be someone here who can help a new blackberry user with a keyboard issue.
The issue is simply that the keyboard will not type anything, whether in emails texts, ect. The phone seems to be working perfectly normally and the keyboard even lets me press keys and plays the keystroke sound, except that it does not actually type anything into any fields.
I have researched this issue and found that for most people this is an issue with the spell checker except my "ignore words with numbers" is and has always been set to "on". (I have even tried turning this "off" and restarting, but it doesnt make a difference)
I have tried restarting the phone (numerouse times), taking out the battery and even hard reboot without any change. The keyboard still does not work.
Magnify mode is set to "off".
I am on the Koodo network in British columbia, Canada and have the latest update (10.1.0.4181).
Anyone have a suggestion?

Did you reboot (pull the battery) while powered on?
If you open the web browser and type in a search, does that enter the typing?

TS1381 Keyboard woes, please help.

Help!!! My F key only works when I push shiFt. I cannot use the lower case F. Tried all oF the trouble shooting guides, no help. I even plugged in another Apple wired keyboard, and it doesnt respond either. BaFFled.

Care to share what they were other than what you already stated? Please detail ALL you have done so far in the way of troubleshooting? Need this info to avoid the been there done that scenarios.
Which Mac are you using? Are you using an Apple keyboard or a 3rd party keyboard?
It would help us to know which computer model you have, which OS & version you're using, how much RAM, etc. You can have this info displayed on the bottom of every post by completing your system profile and filling in the information asked for.
This will help in providing you with the proper and/or correct solutions.

Deleted SMS shortcut: Please help!

Hi, I used to be able to access my sms inbox because i had a short cut to it on the Home screen. i don't know how i have done it, but somehow this shortcut icon is no longer there. The only way I can now access my sms inbox is by doing the following.
Click on the meesaage icon on the menu screen
this then shows my e mails.
go to view folder.
then go to sms inbox and view your sms inbox.
Can anyone help me get the shortcut back?? doing the above is a complete pain.

Short of removing it during a software upgrade (which would have taken some doing) you either hid it or moved it to a folder. Both of these are very easy to do inadvertently.
To see if you hid it from the applications screen click the Menu. If "Show all" is an option you have hidden icons. Click show all and then check to see if it has "returned".
With show all active check on your folders as it is possible when setting up the screen to your preferences you moved it to another folder.
If it is hidden highkight it and hit hide. It should then go from a somewhat subdued icon to a full icon. If in a folder highlight it and select move to folder and select where you want it.
You could have it hidden AND in a folder you don't want it in.

Show Transform Controls. KEYBOARD SHORTCUT PLEASE ANYONE!!!

I use Photoshop CS5/3 for Drawing and creative art. Hense I measure up images using the awesome 'Show Transform Control' Option Command, whilst in the Move Tool. But im SICK of having to CHECK AND UNCHECK the box. Please somebody tell me where I can find a Keybaord Short Cut Option in the Keybaord Short Cut and Menus Section.

Ive kind of answered my own question.
Keep the 'Show Transform Control' box checked all the time. When 'Show Transform Control' BOUNDING BOX starts getting on your nerves, press: Ctrl + H to HIDE the slections on screen! Dont forget to press Cntrl H to get it back when you switch to other tools.
Hopes this helps speed the job up.
