Keyboard shortcut: set a comment status

Hi All,
I would like to know if some keyboard shortcuts exist to update the "status" of a comment.
Anytime I review a document with a lot of comments, actually it's not really efficient to change the status of each comment using the mouse. It would be much more effective to do it through some keyboard shortcuts.
I have gone through the documentation, but I have not found nothing about this kind of functionality.
Does anyone know if some keyboard shortcuts exist to change the comment status?
Thanks in advance,
  Rosario

That's not really a "Corel" function, but rather built-in into Windows (and in MS-DOS before that).
Natively, the Mac uses the 'dead accent key' approach for the usual accented characters, i.e., with the default US keyboard, you can press Opt+e once to get a highlighted acute accent; then enter any 'regular' character -- for the acute, those are é, í, ó, á, ú, but not ń.
The keyboard map utility shows a fair selection of accents (highlighted) and other fairly recurrent characters.
To be able to insert any character at all:
You can add full Unicode support to your Mac keyboard in the System Preferences: go to Language & Text, section Input Sources. Scroll down the list of languages to the "U"; select "Unicode Hex Input". The menu bar will gain an extra icon, with a little flag showing your current input method (mine is a US flag, meaning I now have the standard key mapping). If you click the little flag or use some hot key, you can toggle to another input method, and if you checked in the above, you can select "Unicode Hex". Then you can enter any Unicode character at all by holding down Opt and entering the 4 hex digits of the character you need. The ń above has the code 0144, another example would be Greek Alpha α -- 03b1.
For French (and a selection of other Western Europe languages), full Unicode may be a bit of an overkill; you probably have all the accents you ever need right at your fingertips with the default kb settings: Opt+e (acute), Opt+i (circumflex), Opt+u (dieresis), Opt+c (c-cedilla), Opt+n (tilde), and Opt+` (grave).

  • InDesign CS4 launches with missing workspaces, keyboard shortcut sets, etc

Due to the mixture of multiple issues in this thread:
    http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.59b6c639/
I'm starting this as a new topic to focus on the cases where InDesign CS4 users are able to launch and use the product, but are missing resources such as the following types of presets: Workspaces, Keyboard Shortcut Sets, and Swatch Libraries.
All reports of this issue appear to be related to user permissions. For these resources to to be accessed you must be running InDesign CS4 with an account that has read/write access to the following folder, including it's subfolders and all of their content:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS4\Presets
If you have a setup where you are running into problems getting resources from this folder to appear in InDesign CS4, and you believe your user account has read/write permissions to all of it's contents, please let me know as I'd like to work with you to find a solution.

The complete fix from start to finish for my problem (InDesign CS4 launching without toolbars or keyboard shortcuts when logged on without Administrator priviliges) is below.  It's actually quite simple once you know how... The problem is just getting all of the information in the same place.  Hopefully it will help others having the same problem.
    1.        Install CS4 from the 2 installation CDs.  Allow a couple of hours from start to finish.
    2.        Log on with an Administrator account:
    a.        Navigate to “C:\Program Files\Adobe\”.
    b.        Right-click on the folder named “Adobe InDesign CS4”
    c.        Click Properties
    d.        Click on the Security tab
    e.        Change permissions for Users to Full Control
    f.         Click on the Advanced button and ensure that there is a check in both of the boxes (inherit and replace permissions).
    g.        Click Apply to reflow the permissions
    h.        Click OK twice.
    3.        Navigate to the following locations and rename each of the EN_UK folders to EN_US:
    a.        C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS4\Presets\InDesign Workspaces\
    b.        C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS4\Presets\Page Sizes\
    c.        C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS4\Presets\Start Page\
    d.        C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS4\Presets\InDesign Shortcut Sets\
    4.        With a user account, launch Adobe InDesign CS4 and immediately hold down Shift, Control and Alt together.  Click Yes to delete the InDesign Preference files.

  • Activate Keyboard shortcut set

    Hi,
is there a way to activate a keyboard shortcut set on startup of InDesign. Maybe with a startup script.
Currently the user has to activate the shortcut set manually.
    Thanks
    Stefan

Yes, it does remember the shortcut keyset. We want to deploy a new shortcut set for all our InDesign users by copying the shortcut set into the users workspace.
But the user still has to activate it himself. We are looking for a workaround for that.
    Thanks Stefan

  • Keyboard shortcuts set in System Preferences broken

I have set up a keyboard shortcut in System Preferences to trigger sending mail in the Mail application.
The shortcut works for a short while after the Mail app is launched, but eventually "breaks" so that when I press the key combo (option-command-s) nothing happens.
I have to quit Mail and relaunch it in order to regain the use of this macro.
This seems like a bug to me!
    Can anyone help?
    TIA

    Hi:
I almost fell on the floor!  The chance of two people in these forums living in a town of 2738 is almost off the scale!  I do live in Johnson Creek - if you are so inclined, you will be able to vote for me (or against me) next year .
    Reset the PRAM this way:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.7/en/mh26871.html
Reset the SMC this way:  (it is called a SMU on a G5)
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1767
The preference file is located in Macintosh HD>library>preferences.  (sorry, I edited this, my last post was wrong)
OS X rebuilds preference files as needed after a restart.  A corrupted preference file may (rare, but it happens) cause odd behavior.
While we are at it, trash another preference file (com.apple.systempreferences.plist) and restart.
Lest see if any of that helps before we look at the Time Machine issue.
    Barry
P.S.  Are you really running OS X 10.5.6?  The reason I ask is that I have not run that level of software for a long time.
I need to read profiles more carefully...sorry again

  • Keyboard shortcut Command-~ DOES NOT WORK in/on some apps/machines

It seems that in Mac OS 10.6.2 the keyboard shortcut "Command-~" ( a.k.a.
"⌘-~" or "Command-tilde") is quite fickle. It is used in most apps to
switch between open windows within an application. It was available in OS
10.5 in Safari, Microsoft Office (including Entourage), and most other apps
with the capacity to open multiple windows simultaneously. But in OS 10.6.2
this shortcut is available in Safari on my 2.16 GHz Core2Duo 20" iMac but
NOT on my 2.4 GHz Core2Duo Unibody 13" MacBook; it's available in Entourage
on my MacBook but NOT on my iMac. So it's available on some apps and some
machines but not on others, there's no rhyme or reason to it, and it's not
consistent between like machines and apps, which makes me think that there's
a system-wide preference or command that could turn this on and off. I
thought perhaps it was controlled by a preference in certain apps, but I
have found no such prefs. Is there a way to control this - in other words,
to make it available where it currently is not? Or is there a command to
make it universally available on any 10.6 machine (my preferred solution)?
    Thanks for any help offered.

Not a reply to this specific question, just a quasi-relevant comment that might help some folks.
In Leopard, and with (for example) English and Russian chosen in System Prefs under "Language" and the keyboard shortcut set to command+space, I would always see the flag change in the menu bar as soon as command+space were chosen. Now, under Snow Leopard, hitting command+space seems not to make the change. But it does make the change, you just need to take your fingers off the keys first, then the flag will change.

  • ITunes 11: still not working keyboard shortcuts in separate window video playback

  • CS6 will not save keyboard shortcut for dust & scratches filter

I am running Photoshop CS6 with all updates on a Windows 8 system.  I have several keyboard shortcuts set up that all work fine but when I assign a keyboard shortcut for the dust & scratches filter it will work until I close Photoshop - when I then open Photoshop again this shortcut is gone but all my other shortcuts remain.
I have tried going back to the default keyboard shortcuts and then adding just the shortcut for dust & scratches (I have tried ctrl-F8 and several others) and then closing Photoshop and opening it again with the same results.  I was able to add back all of my other shortcuts and they work fine.
For some reason I can assign a keyboard shortcut to anything except the dust & scratches filter.
Can anyone shed some light on this problem?
    Thanks

I had a chance to try the script on a windows 8 machine running photoshop cs6 13.01 in both photoshop cs6 versions 32 and 64 bit and shortcuts seem to stay between restarts.
If in photoshop cs6 you go to File>Scripts you can see that the script is actually listed?
When i saved the script out of ExtendScript Toolkit i named it Dust and Scatches.jsx.
Did you run ExtendScript Toolkit as an administrator before saving the script?
(right click on the ExtendScript Toolkit shortcut (tile) and choose Run as Administrator)
    Saved to:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6\Presets\Scripts
    (cs6 32 bit)
    and
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6\Presets\Scripts
    (cs6 64 bit)
Another possibilty if you can't get the script to work is using an action (Filter>Dust and Scratches) and assigning a function key for the shortcut.

  • How do I change the quit indesign keyboard shortcut? (indesign CC, mac)

Now this seems like it should be a simple task, right? Head up to the edit menu and click on keyboard shortcuts, find the quit app shortcut and change it to what I need. Why bother changing it you ask? Well for some reason out of the blue, my indesign quits everytime I try to select all (cmd+a) and completely ignores the usual cmd+q shortcut despite it saying in the top menu that that is what the shortcut is set to. So after quitting indesign several times thinking it was crashing I then realised I was closing the app myself but through a keyboard shortcut that I never set up so I need to change it back. But here's the thing, I cant find the quit indesign shortcut setting anywhere in indesign CC. As it was no where to be found I thought perhaps I could rectify this by restoring my inDesign default settings... Nope, no good. So I need some help.
    Thanks in advance.
    A

I've never even heard of a problem like this.
The only thing I can think of is that the current shortcut that closes indesign for you is somehow set in the System Preferences for closing a program.
But I don't know why "Exit" isn't in your Keyboard Shortcut sets?
Think you might need a clean install.

  • Keyboard shortcuts in Illustrator CS4

I have tried to customise keyboard shortcuts in CS4 but each time I quit I lose all settings. (they work fine til I quit). I have saved new sets, overwritted previous sets but they dont seem to save. What am I doing wrong.
Otherwise, speaking as a recent convert from Freehand, CS4 is wonderful now multiple pages have been added

We are experiencing the same problem in Illustrator CS4. We have saved a custom keyboard shortcut set only to have some of the shortcuts revert back when Illustrator is restarted. We have cleared the shortcut for "Reselect" and assigned command-6 to "Select Same Fill". The shortcut works fine until we quit Illustrator the the shortcut reverts back to "Reselect".

  • Transferring keyboard shortcuts between Mac and Windows

I need to migrate users from Mac (CS 5.5) to Windows 7 (CS 6). I have tried to transfer a user's custom keyboard shortcut set by copying the .indk file to the appropriate folder on the PC, and although it shows up in the list, when I try to select the set I get an error saying it is in the wrong format or the file could be damaged. Is there a way of transferring keyboard shortcuts between Mac and Windows?

Shortcut sets seem to be human-readable text files, so you could try making a copy and doing some editing, changing cmd to ctrl and opt to alt, and change the platform value in the first line to "win" though I can't make any promise it will work.
There are also some known problems trying to migrate legacy sets into newer versions of ID since CS5, I think.

  • What is the object to access keyboard shortcuts

What is the scripting object to access keyboard shortcuts in Indesign CS3 using VB script?.
I have created a custom keyboard shortcut set and activated it. So the next time indesign starts,
this custom set will be active. But I want to activate the "Default" keyboard shortcut set programatically
using VB script. How can I do that?. What is the object?. I found an object to set default custom menu.
But I couldn't find one to set default keyboard shortcut. Please help.

    Hi,
The queries are stored in the database table OUQR.
You can add data to particular table and can also update the queries.
Once refer to the documentation of the OUQR table fields.

  • InDesign CS6 Keyboard Shortcuts

I use Photoshop and Illustrator CS6 extensively, and as I am finally coming around to use InDesign CS6 as well I'm finding it to be very disappointing in the keyboard shortcut functionality. I'm wondering if this is a bug, working as intended, or simply something I need help figuring out how to work with properly. I'm running Windows 7 Pro 32 bit, and all my CS6 applications are fully up-to-date.
My main issues are these -
Using view shortcuts with a 0 or 1 (such as ctrl-0/1, ctrl-alt-0, and ctrl-alt-shift-0) requires me to use the number strip at the top of the keyboard, whereas with Photoshop and Illustrator I'm able to use the much more desirable numpad keys.
I'm unable to change these hotkeys properly, as when I create a new keyboard shortcut set based on default, and go to add/change these shortcuts, the ctrl alt and shift keys are disabled. So even though I can set numpad keys the lack of function keys renders this functionality completely useless.
This is extremely frustrating and I would appreciate any help in remedying the situation, thanks.

The MODIFIER (Ctrl,Alt, Shift) keys should be working, in combination, with any other keys for making shortcuts, but they don't "register" in the dialog until you press and hold them in combination with another key. They don't work if you press and release before picking the next key. As mentioned, the Numpad keys are reserved for styles.

  • Final Cut Pro 7 keyboard shortcuts for Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 for Windows

Attached is the file that contains the Final Cut Pro 7 keyboard shortcut set for Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 for Windows.
This file was mistakenly left out of the Premiere Pro CS5 installer, so people who tried to switch to this keyboard shortcut set were unable to do so.
Unzip the file and then install the .kys file by copying it here:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS5\Keyboard Shortcuts\en_US
(where C:\ may be replaced by the a different volume if you installed somewhere other than the C drive, and en_US may be replaced by another locale ID)
This file was included in the Premiere Pro CS5.5 installer, so manually installing this file is only necessary for Premiere Pro CS5.
For information about keyboard shortcuts, including how to customize them, see this page:
    "Keyboard shortcuts"

By the way, Mac users don't need to update this file, it's for Windows users only.

  • Keyboard shortcut to condense/expand text

I'm having a few withdrawal symptoms due to recently switching from Quark. I did a lot with keyboard commands and am having to learn an entire large set of new ones. One I can't find is the command to condense or expand type.
Does InDesign have that keyboard capability?
I downloaded a handy keyboard command cheat sheet from the internet but I don't think it has all of them. Is there a more complete one somewhere I could get?

What you need is to increase/decrease horizontal scaling. The default
keyboard shortcut set doesn't have anything assigned to either but you
can create your own. Edit>keyboard shortcuts>text and tables. Scroll
down to increase horizontal scaling and decrease horizontal scaling and
    set them as you wish.
Save a new keyboard shortcut set and those shortcuts will be available
    to you.

  • Keyboard shortcuts didn't come across in move from CC to 2014

Hello, I just upgraded to 2014 and I had a bunch of keyboard shortcuts set up (and sync'ed via CC Cloud) but they haven't come over to 2014. What am I missing?

Unfortunately you need to transfer those your self.
I believe that SYNCH has worked for some.
It did not for me ... so I copy and pasted the file across to the relevant CC8 folder.
