Keyboard Shorts for Photoshop (on the MacIntosh)

Is there a list of keyboard shortcuts for Photoshop for the Mac. In the FAQ there was a pointer to a list of short cuts for Photoshop CS2--but the link does not work.
I know I can export a list of keyboard short cuts from the Edit/Keyboard Shortcuts menu.
What I really want to find are those command key sets that are:
not listed in the keyboard short cuts in photoshop
do not appear in the pull down menus
do not appeal in the context sensitive menu when you do a right click.
Two examples of the kind of key combination I am looking for: (From working in Kelby's Seven Point System)
cmd/opt/E --> creates a new layer from the selected layers
cmd/shift/opt/E --> creates a new layer from the visible layers
(It looks like the opt key modifies visible commands to make them also create a new layer--where am I to find this stuff?)
I assume there are tons of such "hidden" key combinations. And I do assume that there is some obvious place to find them, but I have not been able to find that place.

Need keyboard shortcuts for an old Power Macintosh please

Hi all
I’m try to copy 2 folders from the desktop of an old Apple Power Macintosh to a ZIP drive.
The mouse on the Power Mac doesn't work, so I’ve to use keyboard shortcuts to move the folders.
My problem is that I can’t find the right keyboard map on the web for a computer about 15 years old, and the OSX keyboard shortcuts don’t work on this computer.
As far as I can work out the Power mac is before G3 and is a 6000 to 8000 model. If anyone knows the shortcut to find the exact software version, that will be great.
So could anybody please suggest to me the keyboard shortcuts for the following commands:
Open ZIP dive folder
Move back to desktop
Copy folder on the desktop
Select ZIP drive folder
Past the folder from desktop to ZIP drive.
I can’t find any info on the web, so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Under Mac OS 8 or later, you can select a file or folder in the current window (or on the desktop if no windows are open) by typing the first few letters of its name. You can also use the arrow keys. I don't remember whether these work in System 7.
Apple-O opens a selected file or folder. Apple-W closes the current window.
Apple-C and Apple-V are copy and paste, respectively, but I'm not sure if they'll work for copying files and folders. I'm not sure if there's a keyboard shortcut for moving files and folders.
If you can find "Script Editor" (it might be in a folder named "Applescript"), you could use it to write a script that will move the folders. Follow these instructions:
Find and open Script Editor. Apple-F opens the "Find" window.
In Script Editor, enter the following:
(Instead of XYZ and ABC, enter the names of the folders you want to copy. And instead of MyZIP, enter the name of the Zip disk.)
tell application "Finder"
duplicate folder "XYZ" of desktop to disk "MyZIP"
duplicate folder "ABC" of desktop to disk "MyZIP"
end tell
Press Apple-R. That should copy the folders to the Zip disk.

What is the best replacement for Photoshop from the App Store?

One of the things I miss is my ability to use Photoshop with earlier OS versions. I do keep a MacBook Pro to the side of my desktop iMac so I can still use Photoshop.
My questions is....can anyone suggest a suitable replacement for Photoshop that I can use with the latest versions of OS? I have already tried Pixelator but it does not have some of the features that I really beed (like drop shadow).

I'm getting the following error "The extension cannot be installed because licensing verification failed" when i try to install the trial version of Portraiture for Photoshop CC 2014. I have installed cloud, and i've tried the install through Adobe Extension Manager but I have the same error message - I have checked passwords, reinstalled Extension manager, removed the trial version download and reinstalled it - 4 hours later and still nothing???? Keyboard short cuts show in the time line

How do I make keyboard shortcuts to show in the bar on the timeline. Once I saw it done. I can't find it.
For example if I do multiclip edit the shortcuts should appear right there, instead of me looking at PDF document to find the shortcuts.

Right click on that little grey strip next to the buttons and choose show keyboard layout or show button list. Then drag your shortcut next to the other buttons (snapping and linking by default)

Which computer would it be better to buy for photoshop cc - the newest mac mini or the mac pro?

i think 16 mb of ram is essential, but other than that, is there a reason to spend more for the mac pro?

Keyboard short cut to activate the Apple menu

I recently had a situation when my bluetooth wireless mouse lost it pairing. Fortunately I have a Magic Track pad that was working. I would like to know the keyboard shortcut to activate the Apple menu so if this problem arises again I can, restart, or as I did in this case go to system preferences->bluetooth and delete the mouse and add it back. I have the article, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1343?viewlocale=en_US, with all the keyboard shortcuts but cannot find one to activate the Apple menu.

Don't know of one that opens the  but you can get there by:
Hit OPT-F2, System Preferences will open to Displays but the cursor will be in the search box. Type bluetooth and hit enter and you'll be in the PreferencePane for Bluetooth.
Should accomplish the same thing.

Edit: I finally found it. CNTL-FN-F1 to turn on full keyboard access then CNTL-FN-F2 will highlight , then down arrow.

Keyboard shortcut for adjusting exposure causes image to black out for a short time.

Hi everyone,
I have always used the mouse and slider for adjust things in the develop module. I know started using the keyboard shortcuts for faster editing as sugested by everyone and I do like it. My problem is when i adjust any slider with the + or - keys my picture completely blacks out for a moment then comes back with the adjustment made. This is frustrating and completely defeats the purpose of using keyboard shortcuts for speed.
The only changes I made is I upgraded from a very old dell dimensions computer to a new alienware X51 computer. I am using lightroom 4.4 64bit and a HDMI connection to my monitor.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My guess that there is some other hot keys attached to '+' & '-' keys on your keyboard.
Try to put your system in clean boot and try to launch Lightroom and see if the issue still occurs.
If you dont get the issue any more go ahead and isolate the app which is causing issue by following divide and rule method on the apps.

Forward and Back Delete Keys on Wireless Keyboard (short)?

My new Apple wireless keyboard (short version) has only the delete key on it. Is there a way to program the additional delete key, allowing me to delete in the right-hand direction? The current delete key deletes only the in the left-hand direction.

I've just been setting up a new Wireless Keyboard for a client using a MacBook with Tiger - on which the Fn+Delete combination works - and have found that it doesn't work on her Wireless Keyboard like everyone says it should! It just gives an error beep. Help!

Keyboard shortcut for absolute references ($)?

Anyone know of a keyboard shortcut for cycling through the absolute cell reference types, just like Excel can with F4?
P.S. I wish formulas would have a "tooltip" help under them for their arguments without having to open up the Functions dialog box.

I downloaded both PDFs too and you're right they both say Keyboard Shortcuts for Mac at the top. However the shortcuts listed on each document are different. On the correct Mac shortcuts you'll see some shortcuts with Command and Option, whereas on the Windows shortcuts (which currently say Mac at the top) you'll see Control and Alt on some of the shortcuts.
It's just a typo in the heading of the Windows shortcut PDF.

Reassign keyboard shortcut for timeline playback

How can I reassign the keyboard shortcut for playback on the animation timeline? Right now it is the spacebar. If I hold the spacebar, it switches to the move tool. If I tap it, it plays back my animation. Too often I accidentally tap for playback when I just want to use the move tool. I'd much rather have the two be separate keys altogether.
I use Photoshop CS5 Extended on Windows 7.

If you go to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts, and select "Panel Menus" from the "Shortcuts For" dropdown menu, you can set (or change) shortcuts for the Timeline panel.
**EDIT: Couldn't seem to find the spacebar shortcut for play/stop in this menu...still trying to find a solution for you. Alternatively, you can uncheck Enable Timeline Shortcuts Keys from the Timeline panel to disable the shortcuts.

Keyboard Shortcuts for curves in cs4 work intermittently:

The keyboard short for curve adj. layers to select existing anchor points is plus and minus (which would be shift =, and shift -). Sometimes this works, and other times it results in a "blending change" for the layer. Anyone know how to fix this?
Similarly, sometimes the up, down, left and right arrows do not move the points. Sometimes they do. What's up?

Ah ha! Thank you. It does it (blending change) with the pen tool group, the path and direct selection tools, and the line and shape tools selected. But not the eyedropper family. How strange. Inadequate beta testing? One less annoyance in my work flow. Thanks. CB

How do I generate a list of keyboard shortcuts for any given application

I want to generate a list of keyboard shortcuts for all of the applications I have on my Mac. I want the list to be a simple text (or rtf) file that I can edit and organize. (By edit, I don't mean change the shortcuts, only the report of them.)
I was using Key Cue, but it does not let me save the list to a text file.
I want this for several purposes. One is to have a easy to reference list of shortcuts to learn. Another is to find unused key combinations that I can use for my own keyboard shortcuts that I create with DefaultKeyBinding.dict.
Note: The program doesn't have to an OS X app. A program that runs from a shell without a GUI is plenty adequate.
If there is a way to read the keyboard commands from a plist list or other such file, and any of you know the format for these or where I can find them, I can write a Perl script myself to do it.
