Keyboard timeline navigation failure CS6

Anyone else seeing this? After a period of time, Up and Down arrows fail to take the playhead to previous / next edit point.
This occurs on both my Macs 10.7.5 & 10.8.2 / Prem CS6.02. Other keyboard commands are working, as are Left / Right arrows for moving frame by frame along the timeline.
I am using the default CS6 Keyboard set, without modification.
The only way to cure this is a Mac re-start.

@shooternz, Yes obvious checked before commenting Thanks for the tip, was not aware of the shift option.
This is Premiere CS6 issue, not OSX. It appears the 'issue' is saved to the project. Confirming, I am using the standard CS6 Keyboard commands.
I'm moving the current project between 2 machines and interestingly this afternoon, opening the project on the unaffected laptop, the issue appeared immediately & arrow keys failed to work. Shift-Arrow sorts it for now though.

Minimizing Mini-Bridge & Timeline in Photoshop CS6

Quick question that I can't figure out. How do I minimize the Mini-Bridge and Timeline in Photoshop CS6? I have draged the window section as far down as possible. But, I have seen some PS6 screenshots were the timeline and mini-bridge lay flush with the bottom of the screen. And, once I do minimize them, how do I bring them back up again?

Hello again!
Have you tried double-clicking on the panel tabs? Tha tabs display the names of the panels (Timeline and Mini-Bridge)
This should minimize the panels - to open them, you can just double click the tabs again.

Thanks everyone. What worked for me was a version of the suggestions above. I had the problem with the ≠ character appearing in all my Photoshop CS6 keyboard shortcuts and rendering them largely unusable. However, I don't have any other keyboards besides US English enabled on my Mac. I do have Spell Catcher installed, which works through the keyboard input method. So, I switched from Spell Catcher back to English (with the US flag), launched Photoshop and presto, my keyboard shortcuts were restored, absent that obnoxious ≠ symbol. Once in Photoshop, if I reselect Spell Catcher, the ≠ symbol returns so I have to run Photoshop without the help of Spell Catcher - or forego the use of keyboard shortcuts while it's on. Since the developer of Spell Catcher passed away last year there will be no more updates to the otherwise very useful utility. Apparently this keyboard shortcut problem in the various guises reported here is linked to some element of the OS X input method in Mavericks, as Photoshop seems to manifest the issue in relation to one specific input source or another. This is the first application in my experience to have a problem with Spell Catcher in OS X 10.9. So I will continue to use it, except in Photoshop. Spell Catcher was never updated for Mountain Lion or Mavericks so people like me will have to use it "at our own risk" as the saying goes. Be that as it may, it does appear to be a bug in Photoshop that's at the root of this matter as different people have somewhat different problems with the OS X input method - not that I expect either Adobe or Apple to do anything about it.

Can't map keyboard shortcuts in Dreamweaver CS6 (Mac)

I am trying to modify the keyboard shortcuts in Dreamweaver CS6 on Mac to match the mappings I had for CS5.
I used Ctrl + Tab and Ctrl + Shift + Tab to switch between open documents. When I trry to set this in the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog it ignores my input. I tried to modify it in menu.xml (which already had this set, presumably because it copied it from CS5), but it still doesn't appear in the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog or work when I press the keys.

I've just done some testing, and can confirm that Dreamweaver CS5.5 on a Mac (UK keyboard) allows you to assign Ctrl+Tab to that keyboard shortcut. But it won't accept it on Dreamweaver CS6.
I've no idea why that should be so. It's probably an internal change to something else that has affected it, and nobody noticed during testing because it's not common to change an existing keyboard shortcut to something else.
I suggest that you file a bug report through the form at https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform. Reports filed through that form go directly to the program team.
I can understand your frustration, but please remember that most of the people answering questions here, including myself, are not Adobe employees.

Keyboard tab navigation highlight disappeared

Hello everyone,
This is my first post in the community.
I've been using the Keyboard Total Navigation, i.e. using the tab to navigate throw apps controls, to manage the popups with the keyboard.
Today, I installed Yosemite but I noticed that for the popup windows, the highlighted option to be selected doesn't work. So, I can navigate throw the options but I'm not able to know in advance which one will be selected when I press the space key.
I'd appreciate it any kind of help or if I missed to do something.

Timeline navigation with code snippets

Hi,
I've been building a flash movie ala Paul Trani's instructional vids on making a simple flash interface from adobe.tv.
What I'm doing is inserting some timeline navigation snippets to control the timeline with buttons. I'm encountering a problem with the stop() snippet. The flash player appears to ignore all timeline navigation snippets that appear AFTER the stop() snippet. so If I place a stop() on frame 1, the flash player ignores all the navigation snippets that occur later in the timeline. it stays stopped on the first frame!
any advice would be appreciated!

The stop() snippet is working perfectly. It is a timeline command that stops the playhead in its tracks. If you happen to have code assigned to things further down the timeline, then you need to get to those frames for the code there to have any effect. What are you expecting to have happen? What would you want to use to get you to move out of frame 1 besides not having the stop() command in it?

Keyboard shortcuts in Photo CS6 not working correctly.

Keyboard shortcuts are working sporadically. For instance, when using select all, copy, paste shortcuts to copy from one image to another in a different tab it can take 2 presses of the keyboard to get them to work. This also makes actions unuseable.
Using MacPro 2.66 Nehalem 8 core, OS 10.6.8, 32GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4870
Have tried:
Adjusting Performance in preferences -currently 25062 memory usage, history states 20, cache levels8, cache level 1024, use graphics processor ticked. Have changed all of these settings with no effect on problem.
Closed all other programs(including all browsers).
Removed any plug-ins.
Closed flash panels namely mini bridge.
Having to revert to an older version of Photoshop at the moment as dodgy Keyboard shortcuts make CS6 unuseable. Also have a problem with Camera Raw which I have raised in another Discussion that makes it unuseable also.
Suggestions welcomed.

Keyboard shortcuts in flash cs6 not working correctly

i bought 3 licences of creative suite cs6, and in every one of them flash cs6 keyboard shortcuts wont work correctly.
specifcly the tools shortcuts such as space bar for hand tool, v' for arrow key and more.
i need to restart flash for them to work again. this happened on 3 of my studio's computers!
please help

Mohanaraj CS, I'm still using Flash Pro CS6 on my MacBook Pro and the shortcuts don't all work correctly because Flash (German version with German language keyboard setting in OSX) seems to use an US keyboard setting only for the shortcuts internally (if I type into fields, I've got my German layout, but if I want to set up a shortcut like cmd + + for zoom in oder cmd + - for zoom out, it shows cmd + ] and cmd + / instead).
And the "fix" to an obvious bug (as you said by yourself) now is TO BUY CC??
Come on, Adobe Staff, is that how you treat your customers?
A little -known- bug but you have to get (and buy) the cloud thing, if you want it fixed... did you get the bug into the code THEREFORE in the last update?
I really love the Adobe software but this is the baddest joke since a looong time, Mohanaraj CS.

Timeline in Dreamweaver CS6

I used to use the excellent timeline feature in DW CS3 to move objects round the page. Its gone and there is no replacement feature I can find. What to do?
This was just a case of creating AP divs and moving and resizing them on a page using the timeline feature.

Transitions work in all modern browsers/devices but not in older ones like IE6,7,8 which is no problem since it's just eye candy.

Timeline Navigation

When making custom components, you can end up having a lot of different states within the component - thus the potential for many different transition combinations. Many of my state names get cut off in the timeline window. The window can be expanded by dragging, but the timeline names to not expand. They remain cutoff, making it harder to find the particular transition combination I am looking for.
Also, is it just me, or does anyone else have an issue with the light gray/gray track and thumb colors for the scroll bar in the workspace. I find myself getting mixed up. Would like more of a contrast. Just food for thought.
Lastly, and this may sound like a dumb question - I am quite sure that a full ecommerce website can be designed strictly with FC, but I am wondering if this is the best practice? ie., should I design a full website with FC, then send it over to FB to hook up the data? The reason I ask is that an ecommerce site can have a lot of pictures in it. If you design the whole site in FC, it can be a pretty sizeable file, right? Does this mean the whole site would need to be loaded at runtime, or can it be broken up after sending it to FB?

Yes, it seems like I can do a really great design FC, but my concern would be if the end result would be too large of a file size. For instance, I have started the design of an ecomerce site and have used a simple photshop image for a header. Even after optimizing the graphics, the fxg file size is already 1.86 MB. I do not have any other pictures in the site yet since I have been concentrating on designing components for navigation, but I have plenty of pictures that need to be included in the future. I am not sure if I should design the whole site via FC (this is preferable as FC is very user friendly), or if I should just design the components, send them to the FC library, and subsequently drop them into an FB-designed site as needed. If I can design the whole site via FC, how would the size be reduced in FB? Wouldn't it be one large file?

Timeline Scrolling in CS6

I used to have no problem with this in CS3, but in CS6 there seems to be no way to scroll smoothly through the timeline, as when searching visually for something. Moving the work area bar with the mouse is far too difficult. You can drag the CTI to the edge of the workspace, but it only has one speed -- slow. Using the mouse wheel is even slower. Have I missed something?

You haven't missed anything. Adobe messed it up with CS6.
Happily, it got fixed in CC.

Extending the timeline in Photoshop CS6

In CS6, I cannot find the option to extend the duration of my photoshop document. I am using Photoshop to make a short hand-drawn animated film. Currently, the document is 300 frames long, but I would like to extend that to 400 frames. Can anyone help, please? (I'm working in timeline mode, not frame mode.)
I could easily change the duration of a document in CS5 by clicking on the little drop-down menu in the top right corner of the animation panel, then going to "Document Settings" where I could change the duration and the frame rate. When I click the drop-down in CS6, I find the frame rate option, but no duration.
It seems like this is a simple necessary option, and I hope I'm just missing something very obvious here.

But I dont think in general there is enough help or control in using timeline animation
For example on my site I run a monthly animation comp. And alot of my members are new to animating (Im by no means an expert lol) But as its Xmas its an ideal theme for animating.
We have a size limit for each animation of 5MB which as you all know isnt a big size animating.
So they set their timelines to say 3 seconds and do each of their relevent timelines. Some upto 6/7/8 seperate ones which for beginners is pretty good. But there end results are normally over size 1st time checking.
The problems occur when they want to alter the lenths of the timeline. Its easy enough to shorten the lenths of the whole timeline lenth thats not a problem BUT its when we try to alter the duration and speed of EACH timeline is where the problem lies.
We cant move the keyframes in a timeline all together so we have to drag each keyframe to another position and of course it mucks up the animation as they dont end up in the right places thus screwing up the sequenc
All we need is some sort of control to alter each timelines length and speed or to select all the keyframes on an individual timeline so we can move them all together. Because if we change the length of f the timeline now the keyframes stay where they are and dont move to compensate for the alteration..
The only other way is to remake it which is a bugga lol

Keyboard access to PS CS6 Menu Bar in Full Screen Mode (Windows)

I'm looking to find a way to access Photoshop Menus in Full Screen Mode by pressing the Alt+(any of the underlined Menu Keys).
The alternative I've been using is pressing the Tab key to show the Menu and Panels, or simply toggling Screen Modes (f key or Shift+f) but that negates the purpose of Full Screen Mode. I followed the instructions on this post to no avail:

Norwegian keyboard-shortcuts in adobe CS6

I need the files for norwegian keyboard-shortcuts for CS6. I use Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop. (But also Premiere, Flash etc. ) In CS4 I remember getting a file to put in the program-folder so my shortcuts would work efficiently on a norwegian keyboard.
Does anyone have such files to send me?
Or can I change this in the program itself?

Yes, you can simply replace some resource files/ directories, but I doubt you'll find someone here. I'm sure you'll have better luck on a Norwegian forum.
