Keyboard &Touchscreen lag

I've been using my new 64g iPad for a week now and love everything about it except I'm having trouble with serious touchscreen issues. As I'm typing this, the keys of the onscreen keyboard will need to be tapped 3-5 times before some of the letters will type on the page.
I'm also having intermittent issues with the icons on the home screens. It will take 2-5 taps before the app will open.
I've also noticed that tapping in Safari takes numerous times before the screen responds. Is it just my iPad, or are others experiencing this as well..
Thanks in advance for the replies.
Frank

Took the iPad to the Apple store nearby. Turns out the touchscreen is the issue on this unit. Returned it to Best Buy for an exchange, but they are out of 64g iPad's. Guess I'll have to wait a week when I return from a business trip.

  • Apple Wireless Keyboard is lagging and disconnecting when using Macbook Pro via Bootcamp

    Hey guys,
I am using my Macbook Pro (I think from 2009) with an external monitor and the apple wireless keyboard (connection via Bluetooth).
First when I set up Bootcamp everything worked fine. But now suddenly the keyboard is lagging (letters sometimes appear after a few seconds or get stuck and typed 20 times or something) and randomly completely disconnecting.
I already downloaded the newest drivers for Boot Camp 64bit from the apple website, but this didnt solve my problem.
I tried disconnecting the keyboard on mac and then reconnecting on the Windows 7 partition again. Also didn't work.
Of course I had to reconnect the keyboard when on the mac.
But it's not that it's not working. I'm using the keyboard via Bootcamp right now. It's just that it's randomly doing this...
Now I don't know what to do. Do some of you have the same issues or have any ideas that might help?

  • My iMac keyboard is lagging when I type. It is driving me crazy. How can I fix it?

My iMac keyboard is lagging when I type. It just recently started doing this and it is driving me crazy. Can someone please help, this is killing me!

    Open System Preferences > Bluetooth
Select the keyboard then click -  (minus) bottom left corner of the window.
Now, restart your Mac, then go back to the Bluetooth preferrence pane and click:  Set Up New Device
If that doesn't help, go to /Library/Preferences
Move the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
    See if that helped.

  • GT72 SERIOUS KEYBOARD INPUT LAG (MSI OFFICIALS TAKE A LOOK)

First of all hi to the community..!
I m a GT72 2QE 629TR owner and GT72 has a SERIOUS keyboard input lag problem..maybe all of you guys cant feel that in fps or 3rd person games as i do but i have been playing STREET FIGHTER 4 for 5 years...in which game inputs are very sensetive..! I cant do neither combos nor plinking with this stupid keyboard.. but i can do that stuff easily in any keyboard even on my wireless logitech keyboard but in this steelseries keyboard CANT because of the serious lag..some combos need one frame link means 1/60 seconds bla bla..
but i realized after uninstalled steelseries keyboard utility lag reduced a little bit but still there is some..I dont know which cause to this problem..
Another request keyboard lights which depends on steelseries utility means we cant turn it on or off the light from keyboard shortcuts unless we are in windows...This is stupid...!    it should be also BIOS controlled..In a darker environment i cant see the buttons in windows LOG ON screen to enter the password why? because of this utility works after logged in so the lights dont work which is very STUPID again..  In my other 600$ Lenovo laptop you can control the light from the FN+SPACE keys even you are in bios or dos environment...because its controlled from the bios itself..
Another bug  the dot(point) button right next to the 0(zero) button in numerical buttons area...it shows POINT on that button but when you press it comma comes on screen ? shhhh..which one is true comma or dot
MSI..! Do something to fix those problems IMMEDIATELY in the next BIOS update or whatever..! or go for
Note: I m on E1781IMS.10R bios (appreciated the CPU C STATES enable/disable option because disabling this removed some stuttering with games also gives performance boost ) with 1781EMS1.510 EC Firmware and dont be offended we love MSI preferred over asus and others

The keyboard should light up in red during POST. At least I saw GS70 has red keyboard light when it is turning on and the color turns to its setting while SSE is on.

  • MacBook Pro (mid-2010) keyboard backlight lags after 10.6.8 combo update

I'm one of those who take the extra time to perform major updates on my MacBook Pro very carefully. I always perform all the permissions and disk check/repairs, typically running something tried-and-true like AppleJack. I then always use the combined updater as opposed to the delta, fully downloading and applying it in Safe User Mode. So, I never run into the typical problems. That said...
Is anyone who has otherwise had a successful update to 10.6.8 on a MacBook Pro with keyboard backlighting experienced a sudden lag-time with the backlight coming on when touching the touchpad or pressing a key?
There is a definitely perceptible 1-second-ish lag I'm experiencing and I'm hoping it will be corrected quickly with either a firmware fix or an update.

Same here, although I have a MBP mid-2009.
The 1-2s lag is VERY annoying if you've gotten used to the old instantaneous light-up with previous SL.
I've fired off a bug report to Apple - here's hoping they don't just bury their head in the sand and release a fix quickly (I also hope they don't have the same bug in Lion as well, I'll be getting that soon)...

  • Apple Pro Wireless Keyboard Typing Lag

I have been running this old keyboard on my W7 machine,(not through Boot Camp) and recently it has been lagging really badly when typing in most every program. It seems like the keys are sticking, but it happens to almost every key (except caps lock and the like). I have tried replacing the batteries, and it doesn't seem to help any. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate x86, with the Microsoft drivers.

    Hello h:
    Welcome to Apple discussions.
Try a couple of things. If they do not work, call Applecare with a warranty issue (the KB may be faulty)
    Reset the PRAM
    Reset the SMC.
Instructions for both are in knowledge base articles.

  • After I updated to ios7, my keyboard touchscreen is very very slow.  How can I fix this

After I updated to the ne ios7, my keypad touchscreen is very very slow.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Try the following:
    *Typing lag iOS 7*
Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. This should improve the typing responsiveness
*Note:* Settings, preferences, network settings, etc will be reset. *NO data or media will be lost*
    and/or
Settings>iCloud>Documents and Data (turn it OFF)

  • I get keyboard typing lag with FF11, not with IE or Chrome

When typing text, I lag several letters behind, then suddenly catch up; true only for FF11, when typing emails in Yahoo, etc. It doesn't happen if I switch to IE or Chrome, on the same computer.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

    Try to disable hardware acceleration.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

  • Iphone keyboard issues lag when typing

Issue with typing on keyboard on the iphone 5 with ISO 7 installed

Thank you so much, I was having this problem with a replacement Iphone 5 that was purchased from Apple today with iOS7 installed.  I had no idea why this was happening as it didn't happen to my original iphone 5 when I installed iOS7.
Turning off documents and data in iCloud solved it straightaway. Really pleased, you saved me another trip to the genius bar!!

  • Slow keyboard response, lagging

Hello - ever since the upgrade was pushed down to my GS3 my keyboard response has been very slow. It is very noticeable when I go to type in a URL, or do a search. It also is pretty slow when I go to start to text. It just doesn't type real time like it always has. Is anyone aware of this issue? Any help on troubleshooting would be appreciated. Thank you.

    caflirt22:
    Give this a try.....
menu > settings > application manager > swype over to all >   ..   then scroll down to Samsung keyboard & select it - then press >   clear Cache / clear Data
It seems to work great so far. I just did it but we'll see. After my upgrade it seems to have kept the old keyboard or data has piled up just slowing the application down. Once I cleared the data the keyboard look changed but seems to work a lot better.

  • Keyboard is lagging after IOS7 upgrade

Most everything else on my iPhone 4S seems to be working fine, but my keyboard locks up in every app I have that requires use of a keyboard. I can type only a few characters and then it locks up. If I keep typing, then after a few seconds the remaining characters spit out onto the screen. I can't stand it! Any fixes for this?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

  • 2.1 EA1 Bug: Worksheet Keyboard/Screen lag when default path is set

If you set a value in the default path to look for scripts in preferences > database > worksheet the performance of the editor degrades significantly.

    Hi,
I tried a simple test with code in development to test the default path:
-calling a file containing 'prompt hello' 100 times first with no default path then with a default path (default path directory containing 200 files),
but I did not see a serious issue (both runs came in at around 0.1 seconds (though both runs could vary even with the same setup between 0.05 and 0.15)).
There was a bug being worked on where large amounts of worksheet output causes a slow down.
1/Do you have a better test case?
2/Should this be enough to see your issue?
