my keyboard types "a" on its own I've tried all the obvious.Might be software issue I'm running LION

Thank you. I called my carrier and told them that the i704 os made my phone unusable and that the support in the forums is populated by children like yourself who make nasty comments and provide no support, I was released from my contract. Free at last from rotten Apple and shmucks like you.

  • Ios 7.4  nightmares. When idle and charging my screens move on their own, types jibberish on its own and sends the jibberish as a text message to random callers, changes sounds on its own.  And that's not all!!!

The ios7.04 download for my iphone 4s has tuned the phone into a nightmare. Battery charging time is 3x what it used to be, battery drains after 4 hours whether I talking or phone is idle. I can no longer hear the phone when it rings. Here is the dealbreaker:When idle, untouched and charging the screens move on their own, type jibberish on their own and send the jibberish via text to a random selection of my contacts. The phone is charging now and I am watching the screen move to the alarm stopwatch screen. It  From there is has moved to the Sounds screen and has changed my ring tone twice. (It plays the tones as well.). My hands are not on the phone at the time and the homescreen is visible when charging begins. I have turned off so many components of the phone that there is simply no longer any reason to walk around with what has become a functionless burden. The most obvious solution is to say goodbye to Apple and go back to the brand I was using before. Thought I's give this forum one last shot. For the life of me I can not understand why so many of us have so many complaints about our devices yet no one takes the path of least resistance...which is to simply switch to a brand that is reliable. I never had any problems with a cell phone until I switched to Apple.

I have several files in which the type has become outlined on its own

    Which version?
    Which system?
    What kind of files?
    Which font?
    Did you use font management?
    How old are the files?
    Any error messages?

  • My phone spazzes and randomly does stuff on its own like typing a bunch of random letters, or scrolling up/down a page, or going out of an app. What can be done about that?

I have a 5S and I've had it since december. ever since i got it I've had trouble whit it. It spaces out at random times, types stuff on its own, goes out of applications, scrolls up/down a page etc. This happens almost daily and the only thing I can do about it is lock my phone, go back in, quit all my apps... Along with that now my touch ID has not been working. Although it has started today, I am worried.

I have an iPhone 6 and have been having this issue since I got it in December 2014. Apps open on their own, scrolling up and down, etc. It's like a ghost is touching the screen. It seems to be the worst when my Verizon connection is only at 3G or my wifi strength is low. I'm not sure if it's an iPhone thing or a carrier issue?? Any ideas?

  • OrdImage using its own database session?

    Hello,
I have been searching on the Internet and this forums, but I am unable to find an answer to my question, so I am asking it here: I have noticed that when a user enters to a screen with an OrdImage being displayed in it, the application module opens 2 database sessions instead of one. Furthermore, if I comment the af:media component used to display the OrdImage and I repeat the same test, only one database session is created. So for some reason, the OrdImage is using a separate database session from the rest of the screen.
Does the OrdImage type really need its own session? Is it possible to make it use the screen's one? Using two database sessions in the same screen is kind of a waste of resources, especially when that screen has a lot of users (like the one where he have the issue).
    Thank you
    Jordi
PS: by the way, I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0.

I have just found [this article|http://jobinesh.blogspot.com.es/2011/07/tips-on-using-afmedia-to-display.html] about OrdImage in ADF, and I see that the pagedef property CustomInputHandler="OrdDomainValueHandler" (which is already set in my application) is used to retrieve some information that cannot be get through the View Object. Is it possible that this property is the responsible for that second connection?

  • Ipod touch 8gig (2g?) works on its own?

Well I'm new to the Itouch scene.
This Ipod touch I received a gift but had screen issues where the screen would
become unresponsive for a certain period of time or until I shut the screen off and back on.
So I sent it in to get it sent back saying the Ipod was contaminated with liquid
when I laterally just got it and barley used it at all.
When I got it back it was even in worse condition; the Ipod would do things on its own like when I'm on google it would click links, refresh,go back to the previous page, and even type things on its own (random letters and stuff.)
It would also open apps and close them to open another.
    An ideas?
    EDIT:
ALSO updated to the newest wares.

Hi monster-0 and welcome to  Discussions Forum!
Your iPod is crashing constantly . Well, in this case, avoid using several features at the same time,
like browsing Safari while you're listening to music (if it's your case).
One thing you could also try is to turn you iPod completly off (press and hold the sleep button) more often.
If the problem persists, I would recommend you to reset it and re-sync all your content to the iPod.
However you must note that these situations sometimes are normal in certain circumstances...
    Hope this helps!

  • Keyboard layout chooses its own letters

    Hi
I have a macbook from spain, with a spanish keyboard., but when i type i notice my keyboard changed from Spanish to French on its own., i can see the flags in the menu.
I tried using the keyboard viewer to see what lay out matches the keyboard and even that is in correct.,for exampple a upside down exclamating mark ¡ which is not on the actuall keyboard at all.

If you see the ¡ in keyboard viewer, it probably means that the layout for Spanish ISO is active. You need to uncheck the box for that (and any other layouts) and check only the box for Spanish.

  • While typing, the keyboard starts typing multiple letters. I'm fed up of this. I don't think I am doing something at my own, it's happening at its own. Is it because of some problem in the hardware since OS and system refresh could not resolve this.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If you have done this like I describe above and the problem continues I suggest you contact Apple Support or make an appointment at an Apple Store and have your iPad examined by a technician.

  • Jumpy slow mouse and keyboard that has a mind of its own

    Hi Folks
Please bear with me, I am not a computer geek but a mature lady who opted for a mac years ago and now has a mac family!
My current imac is running on OS X 10.5.8, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 1 GB Memory
Over the past few months if I leave my mac on overnight (as I usually do),  soon enough the mouse starts jumping and is irratic so I find I can't land on anything to open or shut it down.  The keyboard also becomes possessed with a will of its own.
My son was the one who got me onto a mac as he said they don't get viruses (but that was some 12 years ago with my first one).
I did download Mackeeper 2012 which said I was critical at every stage and I tried rectiving it with mackeeper but it said I had done what I could with the free trial version so I was going to pay for it and thought hey.... just check out the reviews etc and because the Mac experts didn't give it a good rating and said it was crap I sent it to trash.
Any ideas on what my problem is and please bear in mind that I'm not an expert, can bake a cake but lost with computers.
    Many thanks
    Mel

    Hello Mel,
I have no idea how they can get away with advertising MacKeeper at all.
You really really need to uninstall it, but not using their uninstaller.
    Klaus1's great post on MacKeeper...

I have two Airport Expresses running at my house. Both are connected to different types of speakers. Neither speaker set has its own equalizer, and both require a different EQ setting to sound just right. Does anyone know of a way to have iTunes automatically change its EQ setting based on which Airport Express it is streaming to?

I'm in the same boat. I have a 6 zone amplifier running with 6 airport expresses to different rooms inside and outside the house. Each has it's own acoustic characteristics. I'd really love to be able to set each airport to equalize based on my SPL frequency sweep I did for each room.
Setting the eq in itunes won't do it as that is global plus I have many more sources for auiod other than itunes that use the AEs directly.

  • Help! My iPad 2 types and navigates from screen to screen on its own!

About a month and a half ago my ipad 2 started typing multiple letters and navigated and closing webpages on its own! Its really kind of creepy because it seems possessed! I'll be browsing the web minding my own business and then next thing I know the iPad 2 takes a mind of its own and starts closing my opened pages and clicking on different pages and vice versa, also sometimes when I'm typing, it'll start typing multiple letters when I just press a letter once, for example, I'll try and type "Supernatural is about to come on!" and It'll type "Suuupppeeernaaatuuural is aaaabbbboooouuuuut toooo cooomeee ooon!!!!" At first it did this like every blue moon and I would cut the screen off and cut it back on and that would stop it, but now that doesn't work anymore and its happening a lot more frequently! Does anybody know what causes this or better yet how to stop it?

When you say "cut the screen off and cut it back on" do you mean you press the sleep button so the screen turns black and then tap the home button to bring up the lock screen and unlock it? If so, you are just momentarily putting the iPad to sleep and nothing more so that's not going to solve anything. I don't know if this will help but do you ever turn the iPad off and turn it back on - reboot? Don't know that it will help but it can't hurt.
Hold down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to turn the iPad off. Then hold down on the sleep button until the Apple logo appears on the screen, let go of the button and the iPad will restart. Try it and see if it helps.

  • When I use the keyboard on my iphone 5, the keyboard takes a mind of its own.  If I press a letter sometimeIs it puts the letter twice.  It puts periods when I don't want it to.  And if I hesitate on a letter it starts erasing everything I just typed.

What user troubleshooting have you tried? The user troubleshooting steps are restart, reset, restore from backup and restore as new. Usually a reset will fix most of the unusual actions by the device.

  • How do I prevent fullscreen to create its own space or how do I create a keyboard shortcut to such a fullscreen space

    Hello,
In Mountain Lion, I could select from the dock icon the Options -> Assign To -> This Desktop to link back a fullscreen app to one desktop which allowed me to have a direct shortcut to my fullscreen app, e.g. ⌘3. In Mavericks this does not work and I cannot find how to disable the new space for fullscreen app nor how to create a keyboard shortcut for switch directly to that app once it's in fullscreen.
Any help would be much appreciated, I would hate to have to downgrade back to Mountain Lion.
    Cheers,

The most typical solution for enterprise sites is to store their users credentials in an LDAP store such as Oracle Internet Directory (OID) or MS Active Directory. LDAP is an industry standard for extremely fast directory services over IP network infrastructure (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lightweight_Directory_Access_Protocol).
In turn some sites store their user credentials in databases tables. Of course databases can be configured for fast lookups too, but it is a database centric solution where LDAP is designed to work across networks and is ideal for servers as a result which live and breath on the network.
In case of Java EE applications and especially those written in ADF, the use of these services isn't written into the application, but rather the application delegates this responsibility of configuring and providing these services back to the Java EE server. So for example Edwin's post is about configuring a WLS "security provider" to lookup user's info from the database, and here is another blog I wrote for MS Active Directory a while back (http://one-size-doesnt-fit-all.blogspot.com.au/2008/12/configuring-wls-with-ms-active.html). The main advantage here is you don't have every application baking its own solution, rather WLS provides a standard well tested way to configure the security lookups.
In terms of writing (i.e. creating users) to the security store over reading from it, indeed you need to build your own code. Ramandeep Singh Nanda has a nice post on doing this with OID through Oracle's OPSS: http://ramannanda.blogspot.com.au/2011/09/opss-adf-security-utility.html
Finally what sites like Amazon and Facebook do aren't necessarily good examples to follow as they're application's requirements are typically far in excess of a typical enterprise site, and in turn have often written bespoke solutions to deal with their scalability and distribution requirements. I dare say LDAP is a good choice for 99% of enterprises.

  • Keyboard has a life of its own ...Help PLS!

    hi,
my keyboard sometimes seems to have a life of its own. for example when I am using ITunes and filling out some from on the Internet it will mute the sound on its own and fill in a buch of charachters in the forms, as if I was pushing down mutliple buttons at the same time. the buttons that are always acitvated, at least from what i could see are the shift, e and 5. After a few seconds the the keyboard returns to normal. has anybody had a similar problem before?
I don´t know what could be the problem. Please help me if you can!
    Thanks

Can't say I've experienced keyboard problems as you describe but I have had erratic trackpads. This Apple article helped:
