Keychain locks out my email accounts, how do I bypass it?
I am asked for my password to open my Macmail accts but it will not accept them. Keychain is corrupting them somehow and I cannot get to my mail. Any ideas what to do? The passwords are correct but macmail will not save them
Yep I tried that as well. It asks me for a password every time I open email. If I check to have Keychain remember it then the password is not recognized. If I do not check it the email acct. will open but I have to put the password in every time I use it. Very frustrating. I had Apple support helping to no avail and roadrunner support could not help. I have deleted and reinstalled it several times but only lost everything I had.

If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know the Apple ID password, then maybe the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
Otherwise*, boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, type this:
res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
Select
▹ Restart
from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but your Keychain will be reset (empty.) If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it.

I am not a ferquent user of Apple aside to download music on to my Ipod touch and I am not overly pleased with it. This usually wouldn't pose to be a problem, but I am a college freshman and I just redeemed my $100 giftcard to the app store. I am beyond frustrated and don't know what to do.
It is my first time making a purchase off of this Mac with this account, so it is asking me two security questions. It keeps asking me who my favorite and least favorite teachers were. I know for a fact that these are not the security questions I enabled, so I went in to change them again and logged out of everything. I logged back in and I was getting the same thing from the App store -- it was asking me questions I didn't enable. I've been locked out of my account for eight hours twice and all of my Mac's information is at home and not easily accessable to me, so I don't want to have to call and be asked for information I do not have.
What do I do? I need some crucial apps for classes that start in less than fourty-eight hours from now?

You can go to the phone number for your country from http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 and ask to speak with Account Security, or you can go to the ExpressLane at https://expresslane.apple.com and then iTunes, then iTunes Store, then Password and Security Questions and fill out the form.

Trying to connect to a Windows share locks out users Windows account.
Right then I’m coming to the end of my tether !!!
I've got a user who needs to access a share on a Windows server. All is well and the user gets the challenge prompt but instead of letting him in it constantly challenges him locking out his windows account.
Now the share is on a DC so i cant make him a local Admin and the only way i can get this working is to have him in the domain admin group which is NOT the way forward, so i'm looking at permissions i guess.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this .. ArhhhhThe Seagate drive at Amazon should work fine.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
