Keyfigures in particular source system.

Hi All,
I would like to know the keyfigures that are used in particular source system in the BI.
could any one please let me know how to find it out at one place rather then searching in each transformation of that source system.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Prem.

Hi,
We have a table RSOSFIELDMAP. This table gives the mapping between datasource fields and the infoobjects in BI for a particular source system.
Here, in the input screen you can give your source system name and in the 'infoobject' you can provide your starting characters for keyfigures type infoobjects.
e.g. All the keyfigures infoobjects in our BW system are named as ZKF*.
So give in the input screen
Source system - <your source system name>
Infoobject - ZKF*
In this way it would bring out all the infoobjects that are of keyfigures type and also their corresponding datasource fields.

  • Exclude Matches between records from a Particular Source system EDQ+Siebel UCM

I have a requirement to modify the EDQ-CDS Individual Match processor.
I want to exclude the match between two records (Driver and Candidate) if they have same value in a particular field and i want the Value to be hard-coded or specified as reference Data in EDQ (eg: if both driver and candidate are from same source say 'Source ABC' only then NO MATCH , for all other source records match should happen).
We tried adding Match rule which does the 'Exact Match' comparison on the field 'source' and set the rule to 'NO MATCH' , but this is excluding the matching between records from any system, which is not my requirement. I am only looking to exclude the match when the Source value is say 'Source ABC'.
I think it should be possible with the Comparison type  'In Value' or 'In List ' or 'All in List'. But not sure who to use these comparison rules and there is not much documentation available EDQ online.
    Any help on this appreciated.
We are on Siebel 8.2.2.4 + EDQ 11.1.1.7  on Solaris 64 bit.

In List is documented in the 12.1.3 online help. Before this, it was an extension to the product used by CDS.
It is very straight-forward. You add it as a comparison, and create a reference data set with your list of values in it. If the identifier value hits the list, the comparison evaluates to true.
I've pasted most of the help from 12.1.3 below:
    Comparison: In List
The In List comparison provides a way of making the application of a Match rule conditional on one or both identifier values in a comparison being matched with a single value or list of values.
    Use
Use this comparison as a way to apply a Match rule only to a subset of the data in the Match process. For example:
Where a Match rule is designed to match Middle Eastern names, only apply it if a Country identifier matches a list of Middle Eastern countries.
Where a Match rule is designed to match Electronic products, only apply it if a Product Category identifier matches a single value.
The comparison may also be used to eliminate matches that would otherwise be caught by Match rules lower in the decision table, if used in a Match rule with a 'No Match' result; for example, so that matches on certain rules are only presented if Country or Nationality values are not in a list of safe values.
    Options
    Option

    Require data in both records?
    Yes/No
If Yes, both input identifier values must contain data. If they do not, the comparison will always be 'False'.
If No, only one input identifier value must contain data.
    No
    Match whole value?
    Yes/No
If Yes, the whole identifier value (or values) specified must match.
If No, tokens within the identifier will be matched against the list. In this case, delimiters must be specified in the relevant fields below to determine how to split tokens.

    Reference Data
A Reference Data set with a list of values, for example a set of country codes.

    Yes/No
If Yes, all tokens in the identifier value(s) must match against the required list or value.
If No, any one of the tokens must match.
This option is only used if Match whole value? is set to "No".
    No
    Delimiter characters reference data

This field is used to specify the delimiter characters to use as an alternative to linking to a Reference Data set.
This option is only used if Match whole value? is set to "No".
Note: If a Reference Data list of delimiters and specific characters are entered here, both are considered delimiter characters.

  • Assign Source System to Source System ID

    Hello Experts,
I am loading master data from flat file (which is an export from another BI system Info Object) in which one of the attribute is SourceSytem ID (0SOURSYSTEM). But in the flat file some of the records for this particular attribute are blank  and some are with R3. So the records which are without any sourcesystem ID are not getting loaded.
Error is as follows: No source system ID exists for source system (logical system) FLAT_FILE.
Detail Error: Procdure: Assign source system ID to logical source system FLAT FILE. To do this go to TOOLS--> Assign source system to source system ID from main menu of DWB.
Can anyone tell me what exactly I need to give at this place. Any two digit char or do I need to contact basis to follow any specification?
    Thanks for your time.
Experts please let me know how I can proceed loading flatfile data which i got from another BI system.

    Hi,
What exactly does this attribute does while reporting?
Usually if you have 2 source system then this attribute is used to differentiate between to source systems. You have to use this is report to restrict to particular source system
I am assuming it will just differentiates the data that we loaded either from R/3 or FF or something else. Is that right?
    Yes, You are right
Apart from that is there anything useful in reporting point of view?
Everything is based on reporting. Mostly you will use this when you are having two source systems. Ex: ECC and CRM for 0BPARTNER info object
It doesnt matter if I give any two chars(as u said) right?
No it doenst matter. You have button called something "Suggest ..." you can use that. Other wise you can give your own name
    thanks

  • Source system moved to differnt folder in RSA1

    Hi,
We did system refresh from R/3 production to R/3 Quality system.
After this, as a part of post refresh activities, we did restore source system connection in RSA1 of BI Quality system by
right click on R/3 Quality system and choosing the option Restore.
It asked us user id and passwords for aleremote and extremote users ( background users for BW and R/3 quality ).We provided those.
Then it asked us to provide the userid and password for administrator for R/3 quality system.
We provided user id and password of DDIC user in R/3 Quality system.
Then it gave the following message:
User already exists in source syst. Only continue if profile and password are correct.
    Continue? or Cancel?
    We selected "Continue".
Then it gave us the screen with following message:
RFC destination already exists in source system .Do you want to use this destination, check, or cancel source system connection?
    Use ? Check? Cancel?
    We selected "Use"
Then it gave us the following message :
Connection BB is used in the R3QCLNT100 source system as a connection BQ1CLNT100 to BW.
Do you want to delete this connection in the source system? Connection Is Restored After It Has Been Deleted Successfully.
Delete ? or Do not Delete?
    We selected Delete.
After this, restore took place successfully but there is one problem.
After restore, in RSA1, Source system R3QCLNT100 ( source system name for our R/3 quality system ) is shifted from the folder SAP ( source system type for SAP source system ) to Folder BI ( source system type for BI system )
Please suggest how to shift the source system from BI to SAP Folder.
    Thanks,
    Tarun Brijwani.

    Hi Tarun,
have you checked RFC connection before you did Restore?
Might be that you need to adjust RFC settings (TA SM59) for that particular source system.
Seems to me that IP of your R/3 QAS system is pointing into some BW system. That's why your source system was shifted under BI source systems in TA RSA1.

  • Source system deletion

    Hi ,
We have two R/3 systems as Source systems for our BW.
Right now, both are in a postion to give data for lot of Data targets.
And now, we are planing to drop one source system.
So, kindly give me an idea about the steps to be followed
to make sure that there will be no problems after dropping
    (like Metadata inconsistency...etc) .
Kindly provide few notes on this issuse also.
    With rgds,
    Anil Kumar Sharma .P

    Hi Anil!
i think first you got to remove all the source system assignments for all the InfoSources with this particular source system by deleting transfer rules.  one more thing is about logical system dependency of your data, i mean if there is any data which has 0logsys compounded and the data is loaded from this source system. then determine what you are going to do with this data and how you are going to refer it in future.
and once you are sure there is no link between this source system and BW. you can then delete this source system by justselecting delete in the context menu of this source system.

    Dear Linturi,
believe you trying to delete the current R/3 source system and trying for SAP BI my self source system right?
    If yes
We can very well dete the source system
The impact would be in th efollowing ways
You will loose entire datasources, transfer rules and PSA related to that particular source system and it will be Major impcat on you Bi system which is not at all preferable untill unless you are really no more use of the R/3 source system and its configured with any of the bi pass clients.
Coming to BI Myself souce system : Which is purely realted to the DATA MART Loadings and its also a similar like R/3 source system connection you have to give ALEREMOTE passwords and serve ips.
    Hope this helps u...

  • Source System BW - what is "Customizing for extractors" etc.

    Hi,
Can somebody explain IN DETAIL what is the purpose of
    1)Customizing for the extractors
    2)Transfer Global settings
    3)Transfer exchange rates
I could not find any documentation in help.sap.com. Is there any documentation?
    thanks a lot

    Jay,
    1)Customizing for the extractors
This is to modify/control the data transfer settings of the particular source system. It takes you to the SBIW screen (Implementation Guide) directly in the source system. Here you can control your datapacket size, number of datapackets for each IDoc etc. From this screen, you cal also maintain the datasources. All the activities realting to 'maintenance of datasources' can be accessed from here.
    2)Transfer Global settings
Global tabls such as Fiscal Period tables, Fiscal variant values are transferred to BW from the R/3 system where they are maintained. Do a lookup on tables T00* in SE11 and you can see a bunch of tables.
    3)Transfer exchange rates
Similar to the above tables, different exchange rates are maintained in the R/3 system. These gets transferred to BW. tables such as TCURR, TCURC, TCURV etc. These are called Global settings.
    Hope it helps
    Gova

  • Psa data is deviated from source system data...

    Hi all,
My source data was manipulated when it reaches to PSA. We r extracting the data from Flatfiles. And v have one keyfigure as no.of months (say 12,13,14). When am extracting this data to my Infocube this particular fields has changed as 12,000 and 13,000 and 14,000. Even though it is appearing in Simulation under Schduler tab in the same way(12,000 and 13,000 and 14,000).Am not multiplying this field with any value under updaterules.
And the datatype for keyfigure is Number.
And PSA data should always similar to source system data.
But here also am getting deviations. Let me inform me what are the routines and conversion takes place, before the data reaching to PSA from source system.

    Hi Suresh,
Don't worry. The field presentation in the cube depends on the field type.
And I guess that comma stands for a decimal delimiter.
And if so, there is no difference at all!
    Check your settings.

  • How do I stop notifications from a particular source?

Perhaps I inadvertently clicked on something recently, but I've begun getting notifications from "Mac Prices Australia" (I live in the United States). I can see the item listed in Notifications in System Preferences, but I don't see an option to remove it. Plus, there are a number of items here that I don't actually use and would like to remove. How do I go about this?

Well, I realize that would keep the notifications from appearing, but I also assume there's a bit of code for Mac Prices Australia that would still remain on my Mac, and I'd like to delete that entirely. I poked around in the Library, hoping to find a folder with these notifications, but I haven't found one yet.
I guess I titled my question incorrectly. I should have asked how to remove rather than just stop notifications from a particular source.

    Hi,
Goto Info pack -> on menu bar select scheduler -> select init options for source system -> one request with green status -> select it and  click on delete symbol , it will delete the init. you can cross verify this in the base ODS where you dint find data mart status(after refresh). now  select init delta process under that select init without data transfer and schedule the load it will update one record and init flag to your source ODS.
Note: if the last request is not updated from soruce ods to targets for that also you will find data mart status for this select the particular data mart -> click on delete symbol it will delete for the particular request (if it is updated to target it will not allow you to delete) then do delta load it will update the request which is not loaded from source ods to next targets.

    Hi Rupesh,
    in RSA3 data is availbale,
but it is not coming to BI,
    Messages from source system
    see also Processing Steps Request
These messages are sent by IDoc from the source system. Both the extractor itself as well as the service API can send messages. When errors occur, several messages are usually sent together.
From the source system, there are several types of messages that can be differentiated by the so-called Info-IDoc-Status. The IDoc with status 2 plays a particular role here; it describes the number of records that have been extracted in a source system and sent to BI. The number of the records received in BI is checked against this information.
the abovemessage I am getting in details tab.
