Keymap screwed up and i did nothing
I booted my computer up today and my keymap is all messed up. the " is shift+2 and a bunch of others are in the wrong place. i already went to the language panel and tried to fix it but seems to do the same thing no matter what english i choose.
i haven:t spilled any water or dropped the keyboard, havent done anything that would cause this. havent even installed any new programs... just turned the computer off. came back in the morning and turned it back on. screwed up..
anybody have any ideas?
Sometimes happens.
First thing to try is to go System Preferences > Network and click on the 'advanced' button;
Then click on 'Renew DHCP lease'
That's usually sufficient to sort the problem, but let us know if it doesn't.

I pre ordered a album and got songs then it came out so itunes sent me a confirmation and it said to go to available downloads and gave link so I did and it did nothing for me and when I went to the album I wanted it said it was purchased so how do I get my music and don't even see available downloads in the iTunes Store

i tried updating my ipod, and then it turned off, and then just said connect to itunes, and when i did, it said i had to restore it. so, i restored it, and it did nothing and still said connect to itunes. help?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

Then try restoring on another computer.
Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

I just logged into iTunes on my MacBook Pro and my favority playlist changed the order of the songs (and I did nothing!). I did not click any columns to sort differently or anything along those lines. In addition, I added some songs and moved them from Recently Added to this Playlist, but they won't move (well, I can drag them to where I want them, but they don't stay there!). I have new songs that I want to put on my Nano (and other non-Apple device players), but I am afraid to sync. Help! Thanks.
What exactly happens when you try to sync?
Does iTunes see the iPod?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Did you update the iOS via iTunes? Directly on the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

I'm seriously considering taking my line, as well as the two other lines in our family, to another carrier after our experience this week. We've been with Verizon for years and NEVER have we had worse customer service than this past week. First, we wait hours on the phone and on their website preordering the iPhone 6 on the release day (my current phone battery is quickly dying and we wanted to replace it as soon as possible with my upgrade). Then the next morning, we order some accessories, but were told by a rep that we had to cancel the internet order for the accessories and phone the order in to an agent in order to get the promotion. So, the rep goes ahead and cancels the accessories and at the same time, he cancels my iPhone 6 preorder WITHOUT TELLING ME. This morning, I get a text saying it's cancelled, so we call up to figure out what's going on, and now the phone that we stayed up all night for (it wasn't released until 3 AM here) and was supposed to ship in a couple days won't be shipped until mid to late OCTOBER. All because the Verizon rep couldn't figure out how to cancel an iPhone case and instead cancelled the phone. And they were horribly rude about it and insisted there was no way to fix it and get us back our spot in line (and instead, they told us the only recourse for us is to spend all night in line at the store to see if we can get it on opening day--uh, no. We already stayed up all night. YOU made the mistake, not us.) And do you think they offered anything to fix it? Nope--their mistake makes our order delayed 6 weeks and we don't so much as get a credit on our account or anything. Why is Verizon the most expensive cell phone service, but seems to have the absolute worst customer service out of any of the carriers we've used? We've now spent almost 3 hours on the phone today with Verizon--most of it on hold,only to be told that they can't fix THEIR OWN MISTAKE. I hope that mistake was worth losing a customer, because with 3 lines, that mistake could cost them nearly $4000 over the life of the contract, just because they couldn't exercise good customer service and either fix their mistake, or make it right with the customer if there was nothing they could do.
I've never been more angry at a company--not because they made a mistake, but because they were so rude and arrogant about it, and did NOTHING to try to make it right and keep us as a customer.
Is this normal for Verizon? Am I wrong in thinking that when they make a huge mistake like this (I mean, most people don't stay up to pre-order on release day just to be happy with an unexpected cancellation and then having to deal with the phone selling out), they should be offering a significant credit or free accessories or something in order to keep the customer?Welcome to the club! As my original contract was supposed to be up this month; I was preparing to order the iPhone 6 plus. 2 days prior to the pre-order I was logged in to my account to verify my eligibility and freaked when I say my phone would not be eligible until Feb 2016! I called them and told them that was incorrect as I paid full price... after spending almost 1.5 hours on the phone, they confirmed that they messed up and coded my account wrong, they acknowledged their mistake an promised me that my account would be cleared up in time for the preorder.... well one day later... nothing! So I call them again... the agent confirms the case but says she needs to verify that I paid full price for the phone. I asked why as the day before that agent said she reviewed the sales record from the Verizon store and showed that I paid full price (800.00)... I asked why does she need to do it again? So after over 2 hours on the phone (since the Verizon store was closed) she said she could not do anything as she could not get a copy of the receipt. I asked what happened the day prior, how did they do it? The agent was able to pull the receipt and confirmed me paying full price, confirmed Verizons mistake. It was like ground hog day! Except this time I did not even get the fake promise I received the day prior. So 5 hours of my life wasted.... no resolution... pathetic... Im done wasting my time trying to correct your mistake Verizon..fix it or I leave

I just updated my IPad to IOS 50.1 and now I can not open my apps. When I try to open them the screen flickers and goes back to my regular screen. I tried a reboot and that did not help. Can someone please give me some advice on what will work. Thank you

If all user-installed apps are not launching, it could be an Apple ID authorization issue. Download and install an app that isn't already installed on your device to reset this information.

My iPad only has a blank screen. If you press the two buttons to try to get it to restart all you get is a faint light for al few seconds and then it goes back to a black screen. I did try to restore by hooking up to my mac, but I still have nothing.
First thing to try is a reboot of your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
Hold those buttons a long time before letting them go. Also it might be best to leave the iPad on the charger overnight before resetting it.
If this doesn't work, it's time to make an appointment at an Apple store for a Consultation. -
I can't get my time capsule to turn on after a software update. Reset button does nothing and it is pluged in to a live outlet. Is my time capsule dead?

I have all the latest updates on my Macs, and I have no problem at all.
If you applied the latest (7.4.1) QT update, your problem may be due to the fact that the System Requirements for QuickTime 7.4.1 for Tiger include Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later, and you show that you are using Mac OS X (10.4.3). You can check which QT version you have installed using the QuickTime Player > About QuickTime Player menu command.
If your QT version is an older one that is compatible with your Mac OS, and if you have not done so since you applied the QT update, repairing permissions may help you.
If the problem is somehow related to your iSight rather than to your QT software, Apple's How to Troubleshoot iSight may help you identify and fix your problem.
Unless you have a compelling reason for not doing so, you should consider updating to the latest version of Tiger (10.4.11). To find out what improvements you are missing by staying with 10.4.3, see some of the "About the Mac OS X 10.4.xx Update" documents for updates later than 10.4.3. A couple of examples are:
• About the Mac OS X 10.4.6 Update (combo) and
• About the Mac OS X 10.4.11 Update
If you are interested, other "About..." documents are linked in this search list.

I was trying to hide just my clock for the history and the menu bar(file,edit all that), I dont know what i clicked but it got rid of everything except for the bookmark tabs. I know if you right click on the menu bar you can fix it, but since there is no menu bar anymore, this isnt working. i looked up how to do it in the forum found out you can press alt and do it that way, maybe i didnt do right, but that didnt work either.please help me!

Comcast cable connected via wifi. If I use a different wifi network this does not happen. What setting would cause this and how that setting would be changed automatically without me doing it. av is macaffee

I Am unable to clear memory.
If you deleted photos from the Camera Roll album they may still be on your iPad. Check the Photos app and look for the Recently Deleted album. Photos reside there for 30 days in case you want them back. If you are sure that you want to delete the photos deleted them from the Recently Deleted album.

The iPhone saves its pictures with an orientation setting. Windows software tends to ignore it.

You dont need the app, just go to the https://www.icloud.com/ site, log on with your apple ID, and then use the find my iPhone link.

I screwed up and sent an email that was MASSIVE
Like the title says, I sent an email earlier today with about 30gb of video and it was obviously was WAY to big for my iMac to handle. My dumb self even sent it through the mail app. Now when I open the mail app it takes up all of my ram. I have no idea how to delete the email that is located in drafts. When I try to delete it a notification says: The message “xxxx” could not be moved to the mailbox “Trash — On My Mac”“13371.emlx” couldn’t be copied to “Messages” because an item with the same name already exists. I archived the email and it did nothing to help. I promise I normally am not this big of an idiot but I am at a loss here.
Specs:
2012 iMac: 8gb Ram, 1tb hd, 2.9 processer.
It is a new computer and I have opened the activity monitor and currently the mail app is taking up 6.53 (half active, half inactive)gb of ram. Thats just not normal and the problem started today when I sent the email.
