Keynote '08: Can I edit narration?

The Keynote help seems to indicate that a narration can only be added or deleted, not edited. I didn't think this would be a problem, then actually tried to narrate without errors through a bunch of slides... it takes some practice.
Anyway, if I was going to narrate say 20-30 slides, it seems like there really needs to be some way to edit the narration rather than simply deleting the entire thing if you make an error at some point. If you narrate each slide and don't talk over transitions, I would think editing the narration *by slide* would be effective?
I'm a newbie with narration, so if anyone has conquered this problem please let me know. The other thing I was hoping I could do was get a clock with the total number of seconds on each slide, not just the total time on the entire narration. This would help me keep track of how long I'm on each slide without trying to calculate based on the total time.

If you create a separate, individual audio file (narration track) for each slide (or graphic) you can import it into the slide and then use the Build / Start Audio function to have it play when the slide (or graphic) appears, either automatically or on a click. Recording shorter narration tracks is much easier than trying to do a full slideshow narration without errors.
To do this, of course, you need off-line audio recording/editing software, such as Garage Band which is part of the Mac OS. Once they are recorded, you can export them into iTunes and then bring them into Keynote via the Media Inspector.
A major advantage of creating an individual audio file for each narration track is that you can easily rearrange or update the slideshow without having to re-record the entire soundtrack.

Can't edit narrator field for audiobooks in iTunes

I noticed a new "narrator" field in iTunes for the Audiobook media kind, but I can't edit it.
Also, I can't seem to edit the "Remember playback position" and "Skip when shuffling" options. I can fix the second issue by changing it to Music media kind, checking them, and changing it to Audiobook over again; however, seeing as there is no "narrator" field for Music, I can't use that workaround.

Grey text when you look at the content and lock symbol at the bottom of the screen simply shows that your iPod is set to "automatically update songs and playlists". . If you want to access your iPod directly, play it through your iTunes, connect it to a second computer etc. you just need to change the update method to "Manually manage songs and Playlists" in the iPod preferences. One thing to remember about manually updating though is that the iPod also has to be manually ejected before the "Do Not Disconnect" message will go away. Safely disconnect iPod

2) Automatically update selected playlists only. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer.
3) Manually manage songs and playlists. You can also choose to transfer music to the iPod manually. This allows you to drag and drop individual songs and playlists from iTunes to the iPod.

How can I edit a table during a presentation?

I'd like to use Keynote for a "game show" style activity at my school. I created a presentation in Keynote that contains one slide with a large table. During the presentation I would like to edit the contents of some of the table cells without going into edit mode and staying in the presentation slide show mode. I would like to click or double-click on a table cell and edit the text in the cell right on the slide during the presentation.

This is not possible in Keynote.
Keynote must be in edit mode, not play mode to add data to a table.
Adobe Flash Professional can do this but is not the easiest to learn how to use.

A work around using Keynote is to blank (black screen) the projector or colour display, enter the new data in edit mode then restart Keynote then unblank the projector again.

The application Acrobat provides no language translation capability.
If you localize the language for OS, MS Office applications, Acrobat, etc to the desired language try again.
Alternative: transfer a copy of content into a web based translation service (Bing or Google provides a free service).
Transfer the output into a word processing program that is localized to the appropriate language.
Do cleanup.

How can I edit an html file in Firefox using View Source?

I have created an html webpage and saved it to my pc. I can't edit the html file in firefox when I right click on the page and select "View Source". I can view the code but I can't edit it. I can do this in IE9.
I thought I was able to do this before in Firefox.
Did my settings change somewhere that I can no longer do this?
Do I have to have something checked in the Web Developer extensions for it to work?
I'm using Firefox 24.0

The View Source window in Firefox cannot be used to change computer codes. Nor can the Web Developer tools.

Not sure what you mean by "photo screen?" Do you mean your Photo Stream?
In the Photos app there are several ways to view the photos. Tap on Albums. Your Photo Stream is one Album but there may be others including the Camera Roll, albums made on the iPad with photos from the Camera Roll, and albums of photos copied to your iPhone by syncing with your computer.
To remove albums from the Camera Roll, tap on the Camera Roll album to see the small thumbnails of the photos there. Tap on Select, tap on the photos to delete, then tap on the trashcan. The photos will then be moved to another album called Recently Deleted. They remain there for 30 days to allow you time to reconsider whether you really want to delete them or not. After 30 days they will automatically be deleted from your iPhone. But if you are sure you want the photos deleted from your iPhone delete them again from the Recently Deleted album.
Albums created on the iPad with photos from the Camera Roll can be deleted in the same way.
To delete albums copied to your iPhone by syncing with your computer running iTunes are deleted by doing another sync. But before you click on Sync deselect the albums in iTunes. Then when you click on Apply or Sync the albums will be removed from your iPhone but they will remain on your computer.

Can't edit captions

I have a form that was created by printing an excel spreadsheet to PDF and then we are editing in Livecycle ES - the form fields have been added. However, we can't edit the captions for a radio button group and options like insert Text are grayed out in the menu. Is there just something weird about this because of the way it was created??

Sorry, I did misunderstand the issue. When you import a PDF (created from Word, Excel or any other application) you are presented with a dialog that gives you two options... "Create an Interactive Form with fixed pages" or "Create an Interactive Form with a flowable layout". If you select the "fixed pages" option, a form is created where all boilerplate is representated as an image and cannot be edited, furthermore, only "interactive" form objects can be added to the form, such as fields, radio buttons, list boxes etc. As you have noticed, the "non-interactive" objects such as "static text", and "rectangles"are disabled. In addition, the non-interactive properties such as captions (static text) are also diabled. LC Designer is bahaving as intended, it is meant to give the form designer a very accurate copy of the original document layout.
If you import a PDF and select the "Create an Interactive Form with a flowable layout", the "boilerplate" from the original PDF is editable, and the non-interactive form ojects and obect properties (captions etc.) will be available.

I just recently got a new laptop and transfered everything over and it seemed to be ok but now having issues playing videos and can't edit any of my song info in music files

I just got a new laptop so I had to transfer everything over and I thought everything would be ok but I'm having some strange issues especially with my purchased tv shows, movies, and music videos. They just wont play. Sometimes I'll get lucky and a tv show will play but if I stop it and try again it wont. If I open in Quicktime it works fine. The computer is authorized so that shouldnt be it especially if it plays in QT and like I said sometimes I'll get lucky and one will play. Now the other thing I just noticed is all my music files play fine but when opening and looking at the info of the music file I can't edit anything for example song title or artist the area seems shaded and won't let me do any editing. So I'm having those 2 issues. Video files not playing ones that I have purchased. movies, tv shows and music videos. Also like I said if I just sit there and click one after another I may get lucky and one will play but if I stop it and try again it will not play again. And I can't seem to edit any music file which play fine. I have a new Dell with windows 7 and I have never had this happen any help would be great. The computer is authorized for i tunes so it cant be that.

Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Security tab and click Advanced. If necessary grant your account and system full control to this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to replace permissions on child objects which will repair permissions throughout the library. This is the XP dialog but Windows 7 shouldn't be too different.

I can't edit text on a pdf file in adobe acrobat

I need to edit the text on the pdf file but I can't and this message keeps showing up: " This form cannot be edited in Acrobat. Please use Adobe LiveCycle Designer to edit this form.
There are no security on this file. The only thing that is not allowed is to create templates. When I check the document properties description, on the PDF producer it says adobe distiller 7.0.5 (windows)

Ok, what we can tell you is that if this is a LiveCycle form (and we can be pretty sure it is), that you are absolutely right. Acrobat can fill it, and nothing else. These are a very special kind of PDF, where all the text is in a special XML format that Acrobat can only show, not edit.
So, you are on the right track: if it can be edited, you need LiveCycle Designer. Unfortunately, we don't know much about it in this forum, so please try posting here: http://forums.adobe.com/community/livecycle/livecycle_modules_and_development_tools/livecy cle_designer_es

Can I Edit SD and HDV footage at the same time in CS4?

I have a Sony PD 150 camcorder and I'm looking at buying a Sony HDR-HC# HDV 1080i camcorder to use as a second camera on video shoots. Can I edit footage from both cameras on the same timeline in CS4? I'm using a PC, running Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002 with an Intel (R) Pentium (R) 2.80 GB processor with 2.5 GB of RAM. I have a Windows XP 2005 with 3.4GHz with 4GB of ram and it cant handle HDV for HD video.
I have a Sony HVR Z1U and use the in camera down-rez and edit in SD just fine.
Like said before you really need a new computer to edit the HDV but if your going to DVD then your only using SD anyway.
But to answer you question you can mix formats with CS4.

Can I add a text form field in Photoshop that can be edited in Acrobat reader?

I design coffee labels with Photoshop then send them off to the printers. The printers then open up a PDF and put in the best before date before printing. At the moment I have to add the text form fields using Acrobat Pro after i've saved the photoshop document as a Photoshop PDF. The problem is if I want to edit the labels at a later date, I have to re-add the text form fields with Acroabat again.
Can I add a text form field in Photoshop that can be edited in Acrobat reader? Is it better to use another program for this task?
