How do I change the size of the old Keynote presentation so that it will show full screen on Keynote '09?

Here's some info and how to convert the file...

  • Keynote won't fill screen with Apple TV AirPlay

I have an iPad and a new Apple TV (A5). I wanted to give presentations on an HDTV using the Apple TV, however the presentations don't quite fill the screen. Any way to change the aspect ratio, or at least a stretch to fill option in keynote?

I connect to Airplay Display, I select apple tv, and either mirror display or extended desktop. Doesn't matter which, both have the problem.
Then, on my imac I try to play a video and it does not work. I can even hit play on a video, let it go, and THEN turn on Airplay and it will stop playing as soon as I do.

  • Windows Won't Fill Screen

It's not very big, but as you can see in the image below, there's a tiny dark area at the bottom of the screen which is my desktop. Is there any way to make the window go all the way down? I've tried just dragging it but it stops where it's at. I also don't want to go full screen to where the menu bar at the top goes away. I know most people won't care about this but I'm nit-picky and it kinda bothers me. Any help is appreciated.

    Hi...!!
You can do one thing. Place your cursor on Safari bar having 3 coloured dots. Then drag the whole Safari window downwards which will fill up the tiny dark area at the bottom. Now you will be left with the upper tiny dark area. Now you just need to drag the upper safari window part. and Bingo..... Your problem is sorted out.....
It was quite funny though..... Hope that helps.

  • Connecting Macbook to Sony Bravia 32" - Won't fill screen and not clear

I just picked up a Mini-DVI > DVI and DVI > HDMI cord today from my local Apple Store and hooked up my Macbook to my new Sony Bravia 32" HDTV. Unfortunately, I having some problems setting it up. My issues are:
    - I'm not sure how to make my TV the MAIN and ONLY display. I'd like to play games like WoW and watch movies from iTunes on it with the best possible quality and resolution.
    - When connected, the image doesn't fill the whole TV perfectly. It either gets cut off or has black borders. Using the TV's zoom fuction just distorts the image further and possibly cuts off the edges.
    - The quality is less than what I was hoping for. Text is hard to read and pixilated and images just don't look that great. I suspect this might be because it's not filling the whole screen but I am unsure.
I'd really appreciate detailed instructions on how to deal with the software side of this since my connection is fine.

Here is a link that should answer your second question about making the TV the sole display:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=86286
As for the screen quality issue, does your TV's manual mention anything about making a computer connection? Does it say to use the VGA port or is HDMI supported for computer use? Also, do you know the TV's native resolution? If it is a 1366 x 768 native panel in the TV, then don't run it at 1920 x 1080 interlaced. That's too high. It will look best if run at it's natvie resolution.
As for the picture being either too big or too small, that is called overscan. Many newer Sony's have a setting called "Full" under the Wide Mode setting that gets rid of overscan.

  • Apple TV 2 won't fill the TV screen

My ATV 2 won't fill the entire TV screen.  It just plays in a small rectangle within the entire screen.  I've tried adjusting the video settings.  It is a 1080p HDTV.  When I set the ATV to 480 it fills the screen.  When I set it to 720 or auto it does not fill the screen.  Ideas?

Have you tried changing the zoom setting on your TV? Our TV's remote has a button called "P. Size" (for "picture size") which toggles through various modes like "16:9", "screen fit", "4:3", "wide", etc. If that works, be sure to set the AppleTV's mode back to auto.

  • Got a new monitor and web sites won't fill it up without zooming in, there are blank collumns on both sides of the screen.

I got a new monitor recently and the websites won't fill up the screen. There are columns without any images or text on both sides of the screen with the webpage centered. It's not a problem with the computer because offline things look just fine. I can zoom in to where it fits, but really don't want to have to do that every time I go to a new site. Thanks

You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

  • Fill screen

When I output airplay to my TV screen it does not fill the screen. Look a bit like a 4:3 showing on a wide screen? Also happens with utube?
    Any ideas please

Welcome to the Apple Community Badger.
Mirroring won't fill the TV screen. The iPad has an aspect ratio of 4:3 and the iPhone 4S or prior an aspect ratio of 3:2, neither of these will fit exactly into a TV screen which as an aspect ratio of 16:9. The Apple TV will not zoom the mirrored image, because it may well cut off information which is situated at the top or bottom of the screen.
You may wish to try each of the settings in ‘Settings > Audio & Video > Adjust for AirPlay overscan’ for the best setting that suits you.

  • How to open images in Fill Screen mode from Camera Raw

I am using Photoshop CS4 for Windows. I created an action that executes Fit on Screen and set the Scripts Event Manager to execute that action on the Open Document event. This works when opening a document from Photoshop.
    Here are my questions:
    1) After opening a raw image from Bridge in Camera Raw, when I then open the image in Photoshop, it does not run the Open Document event action to Fit on Screen. What event do I need to set the action to execute on when opening an image from Camera Raw in Photoshop?
    2) I added Fit on Screen to the action by selecting Insert Menu Item from the Actions menu and then selecting View-Fit on Screen. I cannot find Fill Screen on any pull-down menu (the button found on the Hand tool bar). How can I insert the Fill Screen item (which fills the screen a little more than Fit on Screen?
    3) In the Scripts Events Manager, when you select Add an Event, it says Any scriptable event can be entered here. See the Scripting Reference for the full list of Photoshop event names.. On the following Adobe webpage, I found the Adobe Photoshop CS4 Scripting Guide but I did not find a list of Photoshop event names in that document. Where can I find the list of Photoshop event names?

Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

  • Latest Keynote update won't open file. Says I need Keynote update! Why?

I'm working on an urgent Keynote presentation for work (yes, on Sat night!) from my boss's MacBook at home ... or, rather, I'm trying to. Keynote just won't open the Keynote file I created yesterday on a different MacBook (reading from USB key). It says I need the newer version of Keynote in order to open this file. I checked ... the version installed was the latest version, but just for good measure, I've just re-installed the update from the Apple site (with boss's permission, lol). No joy ... still returning the same error message. Insists the file version is newer than the version of Keynote I'm running.
    Help, anyone?

You are alternating between the two versions of Pages:
    Pages 5 and Pages '09.
Pages '09 can not open Pages 5, and Pages 5 alters/damages Pages '09 files.
Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09 is in your Applications/iWork folder.

  • Uncheck "Fill screen with one page at a time"

Is it possible to set a javascript to turn off the preference "Fill screen with one page at a time" when entering in Full Screen mode? So that way, it will override Acrobat or Reader application preferences when the PDF is open on users computers.

Everything that's supported is documented here: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/11/Acrobat11_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.89.768.html
Unfortunately, what you want isn't supported.

  • Full screen/fill screen?

    Hello,
Does anyone know how to make a button in Edge that will make the animation go "full screen"?
    And back to regular?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hey redesign!
I used your Fill Screen sample and it works on a Mac (Safari, Firefox and Chrome),
and on a PC (Chrome, not sure about FireFox yet) but doesn't seem to work on a PC-Internet Explorer.
Here's the project (it is unfinished, but you can see the Fill Screen button in the bottom left)

Any idea how to fix that for IE?
    Any help is appreciated!
