Keynote Animated Slide Show timing in GarageBand

Hi.
I exported an animated keynote presentation into Garageband. I now want to place the voice over into the show using garageband. The slides are moving twice as fast as I need. How can I slow the timing down to do the voice-over??

go back into Keynote and import the voice over.
set the duration of each slide to the on screen timings you need.

Hello,
Flash Player is only supported on Apple OS X systems (10.6 - 10.10). It is not, and has never been, supported on any i-Devices. There are no plans to support these platforms.

JJMack covers some possibilities, predicated on the embedded player in your Web site.
You might want to look at another pair of Adobe programs, that work well together: Adobe Premiere Elements and Photoshop Elements. They are available in a bundle, and, if you do not have Photoshop Extended (up through CS 5.5), or Ps CS 6, or Ps CC, they cost MUCH less.
One can create the SlideShow in the Organizer (sort of like Bridge, but with some differences), then can Send to Premiere Elements for final editing, such as the addition of Narration, or a Soundtrack. From PrE, one can then output to many, many different formats for linking to the player on the Web site.
Now, if you have Ps Extended, Ps CS 6, or Ps CC already, you have video-editing capabilities, but some of the output options (and even Import options), will be limited.
If searching for a program (or bundle of programs), then the Elements duo will do exactly what you need. Also, both of those programs have their own, very active forums, so you will have two communities to offer you support.

How do I set a slide duration to less than 1 second?

Media Manager slide show timing help

Hi,
Not sure which forum this belongs but I have built multiple slideshows on my vista 32 machine using media manager. I added music in the back. When shown on my pc the slide show takes the timing settings I gave and runs perfect. However when I go to the tv, the timing is fixed at 5 sec. What can I do to adjust the timing? Also, is there a means to play in a loop? I have a music file with slide show I want to use on my large video wall during a party and want it to set to loop (100+ slides). Thanks for any help!

Open your project. Hover your mouse over the music track in the timeline and when it changes to a hand symbol, click once to highlight the track you want to remove. Then hit delete.

Reducing slide show timing below 1 second

I wanted to use the slide show option for my students' stop action photo projects. 1 second is the smallest option. They need 0.5 or 0.3 to make the projects fit their music. iMovie kept freezing, so we just left them in iPhoto. Can the timing be reduced?

No. For that kind of fine detail you really should be using a timeline based movie editor. Check out Final Cut Express.

Take a look at FlippingBook, which is an extremely good application. This is also not Flash based so works in all devices.

You would need to create it as a standalone page and then add an iFrame to the page you want it displayed on to have it inside your web page template.
An easier way and maybe more versatile would be to just have a gallery on your page and animate it with CSS3. This is an example.

Iphoto slide shows on Apple TV ignores Music settings

I use iphoto slide shows on my apple tv as you have more control over the burns effects etc. rather than Apple tv taking control. I have a problem where after setting the slide show timing to fit the music track (fit slide show to music in iphoto) whilst this runs fine within the apple mac , is completely ignored on the appleTV and the music finishes (and repeates) before the slide show ends. any ideas

The timing is probably not ignored but it is likely that transitions are applied differently on the tv and may take a different length of time to occur. Still the effect is the same and unfortunately it's not too pretty. Which is why I chose to stick with simply syncing photos and not slideshows a long time ago.

Flash slide show - feedback / help

Client is complaining "running super choppy on my computer" and I see the issue as well - corrected once I hit the refresh button, but can anyone assist with something I may have overlooked either in design or activation with this Flash component?

As Ned suggests, it does load fine and play OK with a good connection speed.
I think what your client may be talking about however, is on a marginal connection, I do notice some slight pausing, choppiness on loading for the first time, once loaded and refreshed it runs fine. I also noticed that the pics that slide change speed, so they are either eased or there are multiple points in your tween line, they are not a smooth even pan. The pics that fade in and out look fine.
If I were to make a suggestion I would suggest you increase your frame rate speed, 30 or 40 fps or more, but use the same time to tween images as they are currently, test out a few see if it helps... more frames in the same period of time will certainly make the images appear to move smoother. Also carefully look at your tweens to see if there are multple points within the line. If there are multiple points, maybe try one point at beginning and one at end only. If all else fails, you could try a preloader.

Can you automate an iPad keynote presentation like a slide show?

I have a very basic keynote presentation that I've created on my iPad 2. No fancy transitions, etc. Essentially slides with pictures and information. I need to have it run like a slide show and repeat itself over and over for a static display. Can someone help me accomplish this?

Keynote to iDVD: loss of audio in slide show

I have made a slide show on Keynote with music from iTunes. I export it to iDVD and it works fine from the computer while in iDVD. When I burn the disc, the music from the Keynote slideshow is missing although musc that I have added to menus does play. I want to use the Keynote slideshow and not transfer it to iMovie then iDVD because of loss of quality. I do not want to use the slideshow from iDVD because Keynote provides more opprtunities for effects in the slide show as well as clearer text. I think the problem has something to do with the fact that when I export, on my desktop is a copy of the slideshow AND a copy of the soundtrack.mov. How can I get them together? THANKS!!!

Thanks for the help but I faced the same problem as others with iMovie. Also I am trying to avoid the use of iMovie because the final product, a QT from iMovie, is not as clear visually as an import from Keynote - graphics are a lot muddier. I would have to agree that, as much as I LOVE Keynote, the inability to simply export a slide show with audio intact certainly is a problem with Keynote.

Timing of text box will not appear. My text boxes stop working on slide 5 and they will not work for the remainder of the slide show.

Timing of text box not working. I get the first few slides to work and then on slide 5 my text boxes will not appear. And they do not appear for the rest of the slide show. Help anyone.

Text caption is timed to appear at 2 seconds, but you have a click box at 0sec. Its duration is very short, which means that I cannot see if there is a pause. I suspect this click box is pausing at the end of its timeline, which is at 0.3secs and the Text caption at 2 seconds will not appear before the user has clicked on that click box. The timeline is the core of Captivate, learn at least how to read it.

If you want the green text caption 'Click on...' to appear right at the beginning of the slide, you have to check its Timing accordion: set it to start at 0 secs instead of 2 secs and extend its duration to the 'rest of the slide'.
I don't know what is in the Group. That group and the HIghlight box will disappear at 3 seconds. Or maybe the action that is triggered by the Clickbox is different from 'Continue'?

Keynote slide show exported to QT , so what ?

I need to export a slide show created w Keynote 09 as a Flash slideshow..
I exported it easily to QT, so I can view it (click in to change slide but no button to go back..?)
but then there is no more .mov to Flash export .. so I used MPEG Streamclip , but the result is a movie, not a slide show.... how I should proceed ?
