Keynote? Is it the Worst Apple app ever? I need Help!!
I have been a Mac user forever and generally very happy with the software and of course the hardware is awesome ;~)
Keynote to me is just terrible, can someone help me do what seem to be simple tasks?
A) Why when i export to quicktime, (and i have QT Pro ) does it create 2 files one is the movie and the other is a soundtrack. According to the Help File (that's another laugher ) I should be able to discard the soundtrack file as the audio is embedded into the movie. But if I discard the soundtrack file then No Audio Plays during the movie !!!!!!
Additionally the MOMENT I select the movie file in the Finder the sound from the movie begins to play, the quicktime application need not be Running to have the music playing !!!!!!
So the moment I open the movie to play in quicktime 2 audio files begin to play, one in the Finder and the other in the quicktime movie and they are NOT in sync and it sounds Horrible!!!!!!
I found that by selecting the movie and dragging it in the Finder to the quicktime icon in the Dock that things are a bit more in sync but still not perfect, i really do not need to have the audio playing in the Finder
B) I have tried nearly every codec trying to get the movie fade ins and outs to not show such ugly pixilated gradients, what are folks using to make the transitions look the best. I have no moving pictures in the slideshow only stills that were shot in the studio.
C) Am i asking too much from this application?

I have had several of the same problems that you have outlined and more.
First: I discovered that the accompanying music had gaps and stops in it and after 3 phone calls and days of work tech support could not help. I found that the solution was to save all of the photos as jpegs.
Second: I had the same problem that you had with the music in Quicktime and found no solution.
Third: After many hours of work to get the timing of the slide changes to match the music when I tried to burn it in DVD all of the settings were changed and the music didn't match the slide changes. And worst all of the photographs were cut off both top and bottom regardless of the Theme that I selected.
I have fround no solution for that and will be calling Tech Support again after the 4th holiday.

$100 amber light: the worst Apple product ever!!!
I am so tired of wasting my time with Airport express. This is by far the worst Apple product I have ever seen!
I replaced the first AE thinking there was something wrong with it. But this one is acting the same. If I manage to have it join the network (Belkin), it will work for a few days. Today, the green light is gone and I haven't been able to set it up in any way. I don't want to crawl back behind my stereo with a flatenned paper clip any more. What I really want is somebody from Apple's wireless team so I can shove this waste of money where it belongs.I am honestly happy for you, Ian. Unfortunately, it doesn't help me or change my experience/mind about it.
I am considering buying Ariport Extreme to replace the Belkin wireless router in hopes the AE would actually do what it's supposed to and more. But I am afraid that wouldn't solve the problem and I'd be even less happy. Lots of mentions of a possible firmware problem but I can't even check that. When I do a hard reset I can set it up but once it restarts, I no longer see the device anywhere.
Meanwhile, there's a cable running on the floor. Low tech but gets rid of the delay: I can do the sound work from the couch on my stereo! -
Cellular Overage - Worst Apple App Ever
I was very excited when I found out that Apple was releasing a stand alone podcast app. I downloaded it immediately. Now for the last 2-3 months I have been above my AT&T data limit which I've never really been close to before. This month with nearly a week left I have used 1.5GB more than my plan allows. I have about 10 podcasts that I subscribe to (all audio only) and all but on eof them are weekly releases.
I've searched and searched for a way to turn off cellular downloading, but can not find anything that works. You'd think this setting would be in version 1.0.
I've been trying to hold out for a fix, but it is costing me too much money. Has anyone found a solution/workaround for this? Any podcast app suggestions?Oh wow. Same here. I went from 1.5GB to 3.5GB in a very short amount of time. This is not right.

iMovie 8 is really testing my patience. It saves automatically I hear - but not for me. How can you not implement a manual save command on a video editing program? Every time I restart, my latest work has vanished. I can only insert 4 title sequences before it refuses to accept any more, and I can only import photos from iPhoto at the very start of a creating a project, after that, it will simply not accept them. Any advice gratefully accepted.

My ipad 2 crashes ll the time since the new update has been installed. Apps bomb out and the ipad freezes up
1. Close all inactive apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two and tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo -

I'm posting here a) to warn other Mac users what to expect if you ever need customer support and b) because there's no where you can actually e-mail comments to Apple, and trying to contact customer support has been fruitless (see below).
Here's what happened to me...
I bought my iBook just under three years ago - a few weeks ago, the logic board went. Now, because I purchased the computer less than three years ago, that's covered under the extended warranty for iBook logic boards (see here: http://www.apple.com/support/ibook/faq/).
Simple, right? Well, I took my computer in to my local authorized service provider about three weeks ago. They confirmed the logic board was the problem... copied my receipt for the iBook to prove date of purchase... agreed that it was covered by the warranty.
However, when they sent all this to Apple, their reply was that it was NOT covered because it was manufactured more than three years ago (although Apple's own website says it's purchase date - not manufacture date - that's important).
I called Apple last Monday to find out what was going on. Spoke to a nice fellow named Kevin who said he'd look into it, and call me back the next day.
Next day passed... no call. I called Kevin back left a message, and indicated I'd like to know what was going on.
Wednesday passed... no call. By this point, I'm getting anxious - the service provider can't move ahead without authoriztion from Apple, Apple's not returning my calls (or the service provider's) to grant authorization.
I tried Kevin again on Thursday. Left another message. No reply.
Tried back on Friday morning. Left another message. Still no reply.
Called customer support again Friday night. Antoine puts me hold for a half hour. I call back, explain that I've been on hold for half an hour, ask how long the wait should be. Antoine says two or three minutes. He puts me on hold again.
For another ten minutes.
I call back. Antoine explains that the reason I'm on hold is probably because customer service is closed. So why was I on hold for nearly an hour listening to terrible music? That's one of the mysteries of Apple customer support...
So here I am, with a computer that's been in the shop nearly three weeks, that can't be repaired because Apple won't honour its warranty, and no way to even find out what's going on, because Apple's customer service is such an unnavigable maze.
The sad thing is, I usually like Apples. I was even going to buy a new one this summer.
Now - not a chance.
The moral of the story? If you own an Apple, pray nothing ever goes wrong with it. If you expect your computer to ever need repairs, I'd suggest getting rid of your Apple now.
If you're considering buying an Apple - consider again.
As for me - from now on, make mine Microsoft.

Call back, and don't mess around with Customer Service. Immediately ask for Customer Relations. These are the people whose job it is to make an unhappy customer happy again. They aim to please.
A polite, but seriously disappointed tone of voice is what you need, so take some deep breaths until you can achieve that.

I have upgrade ios 6 to ios7 on my iphone 5. I do NOT like it at all. I want to come back to the previous version. why is it so complicated? Why can I not find the instruction strait from apple? This is the worst possible upgrade ever. It make me think of when ericsson got sold to Sony....drastic PC change.
I would like to have simple instruction on how to downgrade.
It feel like a change that I did not ask for , ok I push the upgrade buttom, but really this is the worst update aver!

I'm running windows vista and i have managed to successfully run my AE through my wireless network to use Air Tunes. However, i have noticed that i can use AE andf Air Tunes for a period and when i reboot my PC nether the wireless card sees the AE or the utility. I can see my neighbour’s wireless modem and mine to which im connected. I have 2 x AE and have tried both with the same result.
Using the AE has been nothing but trouble so far. This has to be the worst apple product i have ever used. It works pefectly one minute then the next it doesnt. I have tried multiple modems and a whole manner of trouble shooting. I have now wasted going on 16 hours on an off fixing this peices of rubbish!

i can not re install Adobe Acrobat 7.0 professional on my computer. It is saying a qualifying product is not detected. I cant even get through using the customer service line they provide 800-272-3623. This is the worst interactionI have ever had with a company.

I am so sorry for the inconvenience caused. However this is just because Adobe Acrobat 7.0 is an outdated version & the now the activation server for it does not exist.

Why does the top button always brake why as my screen decided to pop off why is the back of my case bending when I have never dropped it why dose this shity phone keep sending text messages as picture messages this is the worst phone av ever had!!

Why can't I download the free Apple apps for my new iPhone 5S? It was set up in store and restored from my iPod Touch 5.
Are you logged in with the same account that was used to activate the phone ? If you are, and the apps aren't showing as free, then try logging out of your account by tapping on it at the botto of the Featured tab in the App Store app and then log back in and see if they then show as free.

Keep losing all my apps but the stock apple apps
i keep losing my apps except for the stock apple apps the only way i can get them back is by restoring my phone then doing a icloud restore can somebody tell me whats going on please
its happened twice and both times were during the day i have tried to resync with itunes when it happens and made sure they were all checked i tried shutting the phone off and back on and also tried a hard reset the only way i can get them back is to restore my phone and thats starting to be a pain in the butt

SQL Server 2008 is the worst installation experience ever
Sorry but you guys have really messed up with SQL Server 2008 installation.
I've been using SQL server since 6.5, so I would classify as a fan. We were looking at upgrading from 2005, which I was quite pleased with.
The installation experience is the worst I've ever experienced. I am a computer expert, and I couldn't figure out how to install it properly. Why is it that when I downloaded SQL Server Management Studio Express 2008, it seems as though it wants
to install the full database? Why is it when I was asked if I wanted to install a new version of SQL Server 2008 or use a previous install, when I chose previous install, it said that an instance ID was missing, but there was no way to specify anything
else? It drove me crazy.
Why are there so many requirements and restrictions for the installation, when all I want to do is install Management Studio? It's intolerable and makes me never want to upgrade to 2008. Why is the process so terrible when Microsoft is supposed
to have the best UE people in the business?
You guys did a really terrible job on this one.We have not tried to cluster 2012. We used to cluster; however, we were not prepared to manage the added complications. The result was that our non-clustered servers had better uptime. We used to joke about how many 8s we were
getting with our cluster. (To be fair, it did not help that we had a 7x24 SLA with only 8-5 staff. When the cluster fails to failover, it can be a long time before it is fixed. We eventually got the kinks worked out.)
I understand the frustration. Excellence and stability can be achieved, but product lifecycles can punish those who seek such qualities. Product changes and shorter support lifecycles produce revenue for MS, so I don't see this getting better.
There will be a new OS, new SQL, and a new set of problems the next time around.
I expect things to get worse until we get pushed into the cloud. A stable environment in the cloud is profitable for MS and clients. I do not think this is the case now outside the cloud. Upgrading applications to remain
on supported products is very costly. And about the only business benefit of the upgrade is that the product remains on a supported platform and gets security updates. Sort of sound like that blackmail virus? I'd rather pay to have a
patch for new features and focus on application upgrades that improve business processes. Now bug fixes can require a major version change - which will have new bugs. I'm ranting because of some head pounding
