Keynote multi-screen presentation

In about two weeks I have a presentation in a room where I have three separate flatscreens at my disposal. I want to use all three of them, at the same time.
Using the 2 Thunderbolt ports and HDMI port of my MacBook Pro, I have managed to connect all screens successfully. Unfortunately, that's where the hard part starts: the software. In short, I want to show three separate slides at the same time and click through them simultaneously (in other words: next slide means a new slide on each separate screen).
I see three options here:
one slide with the with of three screens (therefore creating one big external screen)
one unique slide on each screen
three MacBooks, each connected to one screen: therefore I want to be able to control each MacBook at the same time.
The first option appears to be impossible, as Keynote will always try to fit the presentation on one screen. The second option has also been unsuccessful so far, as I am not able to start ánd control three slideshows at the same time on one Mac. The third option appears to be the only one possible so far, but I don't know how to control Keynote on three Macs simultaneously.
I hope you can help me out with this interesting challenge. PowerPoint is also a possibility, if that solves my problem.

However, what you could try (this is an idea i just made up, so it may not be excellent) :
set the screens in the System preferences as if they're side by side, and in keynote, create a 1x3 presentation (3072*768 instead of 1024*768): like this and then launch the "one" keynote presentation: with the slides the way you want them:

IPad/Keynote Self-guided presentation

Setting up a self-guided tour of a non-profit car museum using Keynote on IPads that will be lent to visitors who prefer a self-guided tour instead of a human-guided docent tour. Everything looks promising with a hyperlink-only presentation that is shaping up. (I am disapointed in a couple of missing features in IOS Keynote that are present in Keybote 09 however: ability to add voice-over narration or sound tracks to separate pages, and the ability to do "smart-builds" for multiple image slide shows. The first can be done in Keynote 09 and import to IOS but the second won't even import.)
I have found that a links-only driven presentation in Keynote is similar enough to web browsers that it is intuitive enough even for non-tech-savy users. But one problem has cropped up. People unfamiliar with Ipads or Iphones will push the hard button on the bottom of the screen and exit Keynote to the home screen or they will put the IPad to sleep with the small button on top. In either case they are then completely lost.
Does anyone know of a case for Ipads that covers the mechanical buttons so they can't be accidentally pushed?

I don't have a suggestion, but I do have a question. We are trying to do something similar, but I have found that people pinch the screen and "mess up" the Keynote slides. Are you having that issue? And if not, how did you keep that from happening. Thank you!

Multi Screen Authoring

How do i find the tablet.css, ipad.css and desktop.css files? I am trying to make my website user friendly for all phones and ipads but cant seem to find the correct files?
Are they files i have to create myself or are they already on my computer somewhere? Also i have watched all of the videos on how to do the multi screen authoring however none of them explain where or how to create the relevant (.css) files?
I am new to this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry but there's no magic button that can convert your current site's CSS into a responsive one. Start over with a FluidGrid Layout or begin with one of the very popular Responsive Design Frameworks shown below. When you have a layout you like, copy & paste your old site's content into the new one.

Keynote for Windows Presentation

I have just upgraded to Keynote 3.0.1. I would like to create a slideshow in Keynote for a presentation. The church that will show the presentation uses Windows. I tried last year using Keynote 2, and tried upteen different exports to Powerpoint, but had a variety of issues which are too numerous to mention. So....does anyone know if Keynote 3 has a new solution? Right now I use iPhoto slideshow (which has improved to be honest), but I then have to create a QT movie which obviously loses some of the quality of the images.

the two biggies for me are soft drop shadows, and images that have transparency placed INSIDE (or as a fill) to a ppt auto shape.
I ran into this second one when I exported a theme I'm working on into PPT 2004. All my photo cutouts are actual Keynote shapes, and I created shadow images that actually sit inside a shape, so you get a nice hard edge on the cutout...but when I opened the PPT file, these shapes (which came over as PPT shapes) which should have shown a shadow with transparency around it ended up with solid white backgrounds.
Then I tried to just use a standard PPT shape and add an image into it, and got the same effect. Transparency INSIDE a ppt shape just isn't supported.
You might also want to look at the transitions and effects to see if they've caught up to Keynote at all.

How do you shoot and record videos on iSight? Also, how to do multi screen?

I've never tried using the camera. Just didn't have a need for it, but I'm gonna start making videos. How do I do this? I'm stupid=(

For one thing, please post ONE question per thread.
In answer to your question, the iSight wasn't really built for shooting video (it's low resolution and the built-in ones are fixed-distance, so they won't work well for anything more than a few feet away. Nevertheless, you can use something like iVeZeen by Boinx Software to acquire video from the iSight.
As to your second question, what do you mean multi-screen? Multi-screen what?

Not from your mac/PC, but keynote presentations from an iPad 2 with AirPlay are quite simply brilliant. Not only do you have full control of the keynote in your hands, but besides seeing the slides that everyone else is seeing, right in front of you as you look at your audience, you have your notes too.

Key Press to Play Video, in multi-screen project

I have a timeline with multiple videos in it, all loaded as external videos with playback controls as the audio is important (all are 55 seconds long and high quality audio is vital). First of all I want a specific key pressed to play one of the videos. I've been playing around with event handlers, key press event, but nothing has worked.
This is a multi screen project I'm working on so is there any way to have two seperate windows of video 1080x1920 (that would play on two seperate screens to interact with eachother) or would I have to create a stage twice the width. I need two video clips to play simultaniously once a key is pressed.
I am a real beginner to flash so I really have no idea whether this is possible.
I'm doing this on Flash CS6 on a Mac in IOS 10.9.2

Select one and hit the Space bar to view it in QuickLook. Use the forward arrow keys to move from file to file. If the file can't be viewed in the QuickLook mode then the file is damaged and probably can't be copied or moved.
You could try a photo file recovery application like MediaRECOVER which can scan the memory card and tell you what files, if any, can be recovered before you have to purchase it.

How do I activate the Multi-Screen Sharing in Lion? I was told it was on by default but when my partner logs in from his machine, I can't also login to the actual Mac itself. When I first enabled Sharing it allowed him to connect even though I was already logged in but it was very sluggish and eventually the whole system crashed.
Any help would be appreciated.

Found it!
Make sure you have multiple desktops already running.
Go to System Preferences->Keyboard
Choose Keyboard Shortcuts
On the left select Mission Control. On the right, I have "Switch to Desktop 1, Switch to Desktop 2, etc"
On my iMac they were checked, and working.
On my MacBook they were unchecked. Checked the boxes, now it works.

If your app is mainly code layout interface, then you'll have to just change your code to work with arbitrary widths and heights, instead of a fixed width and height. If instead your app is basically one graphical scene, like say Angry Birds, or a highly graphical scene, you could take the approach I use.

OEM is not multi-screen friendly using Windows 2000 / Matrox

Using Matrox Dual-Head support for multi-screen (extended desktop) on Windows 2000, Oracle Enterprise Manager does not show menu dropdowns if the OEM window is moved of the primary desktop screen.

I've been seeing a similar problems for some time now
with my multi-monitor setup under windows2000 - and Jdeveloper
- maybe this fix will be good for OEM too?

Videocodec in Multi-screen Adobe Air development (iOS/Web/Desktop/Andriod, ...)

I'm looking for info on using video files coming from an edit suit and used in Flash 5 development. We would like to create a multi-screen kind of media jukebox with a index table on the left and the video file on the right.
The index table would be driven by a XML file, the video files would be flv or H264. For Web and desktop we could use flv, for iOS we could use H264. It is almost impossible to add both formats in the same app because that would increase the size of the app to much.
Is there a multi-screen video format for these setups? Is there a document or showcase on this?

Speed issue when getting bounds of single monitor in multi-screen display

I've written the following code which should get the bounds of the first monitor in a n-view (multi-screen) set up so I can size JFrame objects relative to the dimensions of this first monitor. However, this bit of code seems to slow done my constructor by a significant amount of time (ie my program now takes 5 seconds to load as opposed to loading almost instaneously). Is there anything I can do to get this information more quickly? And why does this code take so long to execute?

I was curious (having never delt with this stuff before about your problem so I put your code into a simple frame and ran it. Sure enough it took on average 2.7s to determine the bounds information and less than a tenth of a secondto setup the GUI. So I added code to print out the timmings of each call in your code and found that almost all of it was in "gd.getConfigurations()". This method says it returns all of the GraphicsConfiguration objects for the device. That could be a lot of objects (on my system it returns 8).
When I switched to calling getDefaultConfiguration I get the same answer and it comes back in 0 milliseconds making the GUI setup the slowest part:-)
I am not sure if getDefaultConfiguration is what you want. It is unclear to me that the first element in the configurations array represents the current mode of the device and it is unclear if the detault is the current mode either. I guess you can experiment and see if the default is the configuration you want or not.
