I have All that stuff installed on my Imac.
Can I used it on my iPad or must be everything reinstalled on my iPad from the apple store?

Just to add some detail to Kelly's response. Programs (Applications) for the Macintosh computer are not the same as Programs (Apps) for the iPad.
And... FYI, it is very likely that new versions of Keynote, etc. (iWork) will be coming out on January 6th, when Apple opens the new Mac App Store, and -it is expected- each of those programs will be available individually, rather than as the iWork "suite".

Yes. Make sure you use the same Apple ID.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
If you can't re dowload the apps, launch iTunes. From the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click Store > Authorize This Computer. Sign out of the iTunes store and try re downloading your apps from the App Store again.

I have been trying to clean up my dock, but i can't remove certain items from my dock. I can't remove keynote, pages, numbers, or any microsoft applications. When I was trying to delete the apps they were not running or in use. I tried dragging the icons to the trash bin and I also tried dragging the icons away from the dock, but they just kee bouncing back to the dock. Please help!

Try deleting the Dock settings file. Open Finder, select Go menu (on the menu bar) > Go to Folder, and type ~/Library/Preferences. Then, delete "com.apple.dock.plist", and finally, open Terminal (in /Applications/Utilities) and type:
killall Dock
This will restore Dock to factory settings, so iWork applications and Microsoft apps will be deleted from Dock

i accidentally deleted my imovie on my new iphone6. how do i get it back? my itunes already auto synced and backed up after i deleted imovie. the reason why i deleted it because my keynote/pages/numbers/garage band/imovie were all not working. they couldn't be opened or load. please advise on both queries...

To troubleshoot your other applications that are not opening, I would first suggest closing those applications completely and then opening them fresh. To perform this task, please follow the instructions in the next attached article.

The old versions are not removed when the new versions are installed. (The updates add features that improve cross-platform editing of files but remove many other features so the install leaves the old version in case the old features are important to you). If you look in your applications folder you should find both versions.

For software discs, there are two cases:
a) came with 10.6. In this case order the replacement DVD from Apple.
b) came with 10.7. In this case there may be no replacement discs. Start up with Command-R and install 10.7 from the Internet.
This varies slightly depending on EXACTLY which model you have.

Free Pages, Numbers, etc after 9/2013

Hello, I purchased 20 iPads before 9/2013 and have been in theprocess of deploying them throughout the last few months. I am having an issue where some of these ipads that I pull out of the box today will get the free iWork apps but others will not. I even have one that got the free iWork, but when I reset the ipad and tested my deploy over again, Pages, Numbers and Keynote will no longer download for free. From what I've found it's based on an activation date of 9/2013 whether or not you get the iWork items free, but does anyone know how that activation date is stored and if it can be reset? I'm at a loss for why it works sometimes and not others. This last time it showed up I hadn't even added an apple id.
Any help would be great. I've already tried the obvious reset options under Settings/General.

Missing Keynote, Pages, Numbers

I recently did a full restore from the time machine backups on my hard drive. When the computer was done and turned back on, Keynote, Pages and Numbers were no longer on the tool bar. They are now just question marks that say the respective programs when I hover the curser over them. I have a desktop Mac that I have been using since 2008. I have kept up with all the updates and upgrades in software since purchasing it new from the Apple Store. I believe the programs should be in the iWork folder in applications, but there is nothing in there after the restore. How do I get them back?

If you have been keeping up with all the updates and software upgrades on your Mac as you say, then you know that the most recent versions of Keynote, Pages and Numbers are not in the iWork folder.
For at least the last year or more, each of the new updated applications have been standing alone in your Applications folder.
Look for them individually there, then drag the icon for each application to the dock if you want to place a shortcut there.

I bought a MBP 13" with Moutain Lion installed. I upgraded to Mavericks two weeks after and installed Keynote, Pages And Numbers for free. I had to uninstall these 3 applications after a while because of some issues on my MBP. I'm trying to download them again from the AppStore but it says that I have to pay for the 3 apps.
Why can't i download them again for free?

Have you logged in the Mac App Store with the Apple ID you used to download Keynote, Pages and Numbers? If not, do it.
If this is not the problem, check that Numbers, Keynote and Pages are hidden > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4928?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US If so, unhide them.

Keynote/pages/numbers backup

How do I get a permanat back up of my Keynote, Pages and Numbers files? I want to start deleting some off of my iPad to save space but am concerned that if I do so, they will also delete off of the cloud. I want to make sure I do this correctly. Why is Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and iPhoto all under the free category in the app store but say they cost money? Are they really free? Should I download them?

HELP! I need these softwares for educational purposes ASAP! I'm not sure whether or not I should purchase any of them, due to the fact they are under the free category, yet if I click each app they all say to "buy now" for a certain price. All Apple computer come with the iLife suite of App totally free and they are installed on your Mac by the factory when it was built and shipped.
Those iLife apps are iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand on Mac computers that came with any of the Download Only version of OS X, Lion Mt Lion and Mavericks and also include iDVD and iWeb on older Mac computers that came with OS X Snow Leopard or previous version of OS X.
If they are not already on your Mac then you can reinstall them from either the Mac App Store, for Mac's that came with Lion, Mt Lion or Mavericks, or from the Original System Reinstall DVD discs on older Mac that came with Snow Leopard or previous version of OS X.
You need to post what model year Mac you are using and whether or not you bought it new from Apple or an Autherised Apple reseller.
As for the iWork set of applications, Pages, Numbers and Keynote, those you need to buy from the Mac App Store unless you purchase your Mac New from Apple or an Authorized Apple reseller on or after October 21 2013.

InDesign "Save As" dialog box for every operation in INDB book file; updating page numbers, etc.

So I haven't used INDB files in awhile in InDesign, and today was the first time I attempted to adjust an old INDB (created originally with CS5). For every operation of adjusting the book file, such as updating page/section number or adding/removing an INDD file I get a Save As dialog box for each constiuent INDD file. This is quite annoying since the book has lots of INDDs, and I have to click through the tedious save as with each. I previously worked with INDBs in CS5, and never encountered this, there was no need to save each INDD in the book just to update the page numbers. I tried creating a new INDB in CS5.5 thinking that maybe it was because I was working from a file created with an older version of InDesign. Does anyone know if there is a way to suppress the Save As dialog? Another thing I noticed that is supremely frustrating is that this new build of InDesign doesn't default to saving the file in its original location, and I have unwittingly ended up saving files in other places, only to later realize it. I am using InDesign CS5.5 Ver. 7.5.2 on Mac OSX 10.7.3 Any help is greatly appreciated.

It will only happen once (and frankly, what you are doing is a very bad idea).
When you open the old book in CS5, you are converting to the new format. All of the legacy files also need to be converted, even if added to a new book in CS5.5, hence the Save As since ID will not overwrite the old versions until you tell it to (and that's the bad idea). I strongly recommend (though it's too late for any books you've already updated and overwritten) that you either continue to edit in the old version, or that you take the time to open each file in the original version if it's older than CS5, then export to interchange format (.inx or .idml, depending on version), open those files in CS5.5, save with new names so you don't overwrite anything, then add to a new book and proceed.
One of the reasons I recommend this seemingly time-consuming approach is that there are too many reports (another one yesterday) of some sort of problem that pops up late in the editing cycle when converting legacy files to CS5/5.5 by opening them directly and saving. This is a belt and suspenders insurance approach, and is far less labor intensive than starting over, which might end up being your other option down the road if something goes wrong.

Crashes with Photoshop CS5 and Pages, Numbers etc and OS 10.6.4

Has anyone found a solution to the crash that happens with using Photoshop CS5 and 10.6.4 Snow Leopard. I just bought a Macbook Pro --changed from a PC and have problems with CS5 and Pages, Numbers crash all the time. So far I am not impressed with the MAC

I don't know why I didn't think of trashing the preferences, but it worked.
(For those looking for how to trash prefs, just go to Users/XXXYOUR_LOGIN_NAMEXXX/Library
/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/10.0/ and delete the file there (or rename if you'd rather) AE will rebuild it on startup.)
