Keynote presentation and iweb?

Hi,
I'm designing a mini website for my business and would like to know if it's possible to export a keynote presentation to an iweb site?
I know there is a button to share the keynote with iweb but i can't seem to figure out what exactly that option does.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks
Tim

Tim ~ See this Apple doc: _Exporting to iWeb_
Since you have a MobileMe account, you could export your presentation as a QuickTime movie and publish it to your MobileMe Gallery linked to from your iWeb site. Click on this link to see one of Apple's demo _MobileMe Gallery_ videos:
http://gallery.me.com/emily_parker#100624
...at lower right of the video there is a fullscreen button you can click. Publishing from iMovie allows it to be automatically converted to a wide range of sizes for optimal viewing on iPhone, Web, AppleTV, etc. See this video tutorial "_Publish movies to your MobileMe Gallery_".
In iWeb, you can view a list of all the albums and movies in your MobileMe Gallery, and incorporate any of them in an iWeb page. Visitors can click to go directly to your MobileMe Gallery. See this video tutorial "_Adding a MobileMe Gallery_".

  • Import keynote presentation into iWeb?

I was thinking about adding a keynote presentation onto my web page as a slide show. Is this possible?
    Thanks!

You CAN add a Keynote presentation into iWeb (exported as a QuickTime movie), you just have to be aware of some minor issues. One of the issues you'll run into you can see on this page.

Depending on the speed of your connection, if it starts playing early, it will do the first slide over and over until the full thing has been downloaded. Give it a try and post back here or in the Keynote discussions if you have any problems.

  • Is there any way to view a keynote presentation and the presenter notes on the iPad at the same time?

Is there any way to view a keynote presentation and the presenter notes on the iPad at the same time? My professors at school have keynote presentations and i take notes during class with the presenter notes feature. I was wondering if there was any way i can view both of them on the same screen on my iPad while studying? This way I could see their slides along with the notes i take during class.

None that I know of. Suggest to Apple.
    Send feedback to Apple.

  • Removing Keynote presentation from iWeb

I created a keynote presentation for an organization to proof and published it using iWeb which worked great. Now I would like to remove it. When I go to iWeb and click on remove entries, it is removed. But even after restarting my computer, it is still listed on my homepage. Thanks for any help.

There is a page I want to take down. I see the pages on idisk. I just deleted the page from idisk.
Glad to see you figured it out.
I also figured it out for someone one new year and it was a lot of fun

  • Powerpoint presentation and iweb

Help! I need to upload my powerpoint presentation to iweb. I followed the directions saved the presentation with .htm extension to my file folder, created the link with inspector and published. However, when you click on the link, I get the prompt that the webpage does not exist. I do not receive any errors when saving the presentation as a webpage. What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. The web site version of a Powerpoint presentation is not what you want to use. It is pretty crude. I suggest you save the presentation as a movie which will preserve the transitions and add the movie to your web page by one of the following two methods: Opening Movie in New Window (window is sized to the movie's dimensions) or Adding QT Movie via the Export to Web from QT Player. Both methods let the web page load without the movie having to load. The movie loads after the Play button is selected.
You could use the second method to reduce the movie file size and add it directly to the web page but it would still have to load with the page and that will increase the load time time of the page.

  • Keynote presentations on iWeb

Can it be done? Can I post a Keynote that I created onto iWeb and have it be viewable? How would I do it? Would I have to transform it to another format?

If you simply put a .key file up, it'll break
If you put up a zipped .key file, only those with Keynote can read it, and if it's Keynote 3, only those with K3 can read it.
If you export from Keynote as a QT movie, it'll play fine for anyone who has quicktime installed, and Keynote lets you embed an interactive sprite track in the movie so it works just like a presentation, meaning you click play each time you want to advance to the next build or slide. The only problem is, it doesn't work on some windows machines. If it's self playing though, you're fine.

  • Is there a way to take a keynote presentation and import it into Quartz Composer?

I want to get rid of the background so it looks professional, like one of Apple's animations on their iPhone page.

Sabian has pointed you to an older Acrobat X tutorial.
It depicts the use of acrobat.com "workspaces".
    "Workspaces" are going away soon.
    See:
    https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-4203
So, what is shown in the Adobe TV session is, basically, obsolete.
For forms you may want to give acrobat.com's (now "Adobe Document Solutions) FormsCentral subscription service a look-see.

  • No Sound in Keynote Presentation (QT video)

    Hi All,
I am working on a Keynote presentation and am trying to import a Video file (QT) into the final slide. (Video created via iTunes using music that was bought from the iTunes store) The video works fine however there is no audio.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

Assume you mean the movie made in iMovie?
Could be a DRM thing. Try converting the AAC file to MP3 and use that one in the movie.

  • Using After Effects to create dynamic keynote presentation

    Hey everyone,
I am working on a project that involves adding dynamic content to a keynote presentation - short animations that must coincide with a spoken presentation that is being given.
I am unsure on what the best way is to do this..
I was thinking of creating small movie clips that live in each frame of a keynote presentation. That way the presenter could move through the slides as he spoke and the movies would match up with what he is saying, rather than making one large movie that is paused and played as he spoke.
Does anyone know of any examples of presentations that are like this? I can't find any online.
    Thanks.
    Neal

I would definitely build segments into each slide so the Presenter or operator has clean, foolproof control over each segment's playback. You don't want to be fiddling with pause controls on the day.
I'd create the movie in one AE comp, with 1 second static points at the pause locations (with absolutely nothing animated at those points) so that the pauses are seamless.
From there, it's up to you.
You can render multiple Quicktime segments as a Quicktime-per-slide for the Keynote presentation.
You can render one long Quicktime, then use Quicktime Pro (or any non-linear editor) to export each segment as a Quicktime-per-slide for the Keynote presentation.
Or, you can render one long Quicktime, place it into each slide of the Keynote presentation, and define in and out points for playback on each page using the Keynote Inspector's Quicktime tab.
I use Quicktime Animation codec at 85% quality (with keyframes) for this kind of job, and have no problem playing HD 1080 files from a 7200RPM hard drive. It is far cleaner looking than H.264 or any other MPEG variants, but small enough for reliable playback.

  • Make Keynote presentation Read Only?

Is there anyway to make a keynote presentation where people are not able to edit it for presentations (hand them off)? I know you can makke a quicktime version of it but I was looking for a way to keep it in keynote.
    Thanks

If you lock the file, they won't be able to Save it...but they WILL be able to Save As... For that matter, I would be completely shocked and surprised if there wasn't a tool out there for ripping a PowerPoint presentation out of one of these "movie" files. In this case, the "read-only" only makes it more difficult to rip off, not impossible, so that's probably the only solution you'll have available to you.
Hmm, here's one I haven't tried but might be worth giving a go. Create a Keynote presentation that launches a second Keynote presentation and make the second one invisible on a .dmg. The question being, would the first one be able to find the invisible one?
This way, the only thing they could easily drag off the .dmg would be the visible one. Like I said, don't know if it would work AND it's still defeatable but the only REAL way to protect your content is not to share it!

  • Can't open new keynote presentation

I just created a new keynote presentation and have the most recent updates on keynote. But I receive a notice that I "need a newer version of keynote to open this document."
    What's the problem?

You have two versions of Keynote; the previous version 5 (which lives in Applications > iWork 09) and the new version 6 which lives in Applications.
You get the "you need a newer version to open" message when a file created in 6 is being opened by 5.
if you right click a version 5 file and select Get Info, in the Open with section select Keynote 5,
    then click change all.
Perform a similar exercise on a version 6 file but select open with Keynote 6.

  • Spreadsheet in a Keynote Presentation

I often make presentations to small groups. I often use reports in the form of spreadsheets. Since Numbers cannot use video out, can I copy a Numbers spreadsheet into a Keynote presentation and show the spreadsheet via Keynote?
I haven't bought Keynote yet but am thinking of doing so.

You have posted on the iTunes for windows forum, you might do better on the keynote forum here:

  • Forgot my password for a Keynote Presentation.

Hello! I accidently put a password on one of the my keynote presentations and I dont know what the password is. Does anyone know of anyway to unlock a keynote presentation without having to use the password (that I have no clue what it is)? Or, just to remove that password feature on said presentation? Any help would be great. Thanks!

If you use a back up system, Time Machine for example, see if there is a version available before you set the password.
If there isn't a backup you will need to redo the presentation.
