Keynote presentations from iPod to TV

As Keynote can export presentations to QuickTime, I wondered what accessories are needed to use the new video-playing iPod Nano, Classic and Touch for presenting "on the road" (or at home). These iPods all connect to a standard TV using component cables or composite cables via Apple's Universal Dock. So the necessary accessories seem to be...
Apple Universal Dock (Includes Apple Remote and Dock Adapters to fit any of the three video-playing iPods):

Apple Component AV Cable (includes Apple USB Power Adapter
to charge your iPod at home, on the road, or whenever it's not connected to a computer.):

Apple Composite AV Cable (includes Apple USB Power Adapter):

...and of course an iPod (except the Shuffle):

The iPod doesn't play visualizations, ***** up too much battery and processing power. Why not connect your computer to your TV?

How can i transfer a keynote presentation from an iPad to another iPad? I haven't a wifi connection.

Depends on how big the file is.  If itis only a couple of pages, or mostly text, the easiest way would be to e mail it.  If it is a very large file you are going to need wifi.  Take both pads to starbucks, and e mail it from there.  Or if you have wifi, use drop box, for example.
Your other choice, avoiding wifi would be a bluetooth type transfer.  There is an app call bluetooth file lite that reads like it will do what you need.   The good news is it is free.  The bad news is that it has terrible ratings.  For grins, i am installing it now on a pad and a phone, and will see if it works.
With a bluetooth method, you need both devices in  the same place.  If you are trying to send your file across country, bluetooth will not work for you.  you need e mail or drop box type solution, and if the file is big, you will almost certainly need wifi.

You need to put or save the keynote to your iCloud window, which you get from Keynote > File > Open.

    Hey mjmsurrey60,
It sounds like the iDevices have gotten out of sync with the home network.  I would advise a full power cycle of the circuit involved.
Unplug the 8600 while powered on
Unplug the power from the router
COMPLETELY power off the iDevices, not simply put in sleep mode.  Click here for information about how to do so on an iPhone.  The steps are similar for other iDevices.
    Wait 30-60 seconds
Plug the router back up and wait for it to completely power back up
Plug the 8600 back in for power
Power the iDevices back up and wait for them to sync with the network again
    Try to print again
    Let me know the results.

  • Transfer a keynote presentation from imac to my ipad2

    1) Can I transfer a keynote presentation from my imac to my ipad2?
    2) How do I do it?
    3) Will all features and actions of presentation stay intact?
    Thank you

I think the easiest way to transfer a keynote to your iPad is to use the ICloud sync between the keynote app on your Mac and iOS device.
This should transfer all the stuff in your presentation that it looks the same.

  • After my last update I can't start up an other keynote presentation from a link (only when the other presentation is already open) I hope there will be an  fix soon.

After my last update I can't start up an other keynote presentation from a link (only when the other presentation is already open) I hope there will be an  fix soon.
I thought it was because of Lion but with snow leopard i have the same problem (On another Mac).
    Other solutions????

To check the local network for some of the common configuration problems, launch Terminal.app and issue the following diagnostic command:
    sudo changeip -checkhostname
That'll report some local configuration information and then either no errors detected and no changes required, or it'll point to whatever configuration errors or issues it might detect.  That doesn't catch everything, but it catches the common errors.
FWIW, 192.168.0.0/24 and 192.168.1.0/24 are poor choices for the local network, as VPNs are based on IP routing and IP routing gets tangled when the same subnet is used on both ends of the VPN. 192.168.0.0/24 and 192.168.1.0/24 are near ubiquitous in home networks and coffee shops.

  • Transferring a Keynote presentation from my computer to another Mac. How do I know which fonts to transfer?

I am transferring a large Keynote presentation from my computer to another Mac. How do I know which fonts were used in my presentation to be able to see if the other Mac has those as well?
The Keynote notes says that fonts are NOT transferred with the presentation.
Please email me the answer ASAP to "[email protected]".
    Thanks.

  • Is there a way to stream a Keynote presentation from my Ipad to my Apple TV, but be able to open a different application on the Ipad without it mirroring on the TV?

I have just bought an Ipad and Apple TV and am wanting to have a Keynote presentation playing through the TV from the Ipad, but be able to open other applications on the Ipad without them also being mirrored and interrupting the presentation. I know you can show presentation notes in Keynote without them showing up, but is there a way to open up a whole new application?

no it's mirror because it show the same thing on Apple TV and IoS device

  • When importing keynote presentations from ituns to ipad, do they occupy double the space on the ipad?

When I import presentations from mac to ipad I put them first on ipad thorough itunes when the ipad is connected, then from the keynote app I import the presentations. After can I delete the presentations from itunes? and if i don't will they occupy double the space on my ipad?

Keynote files are not contained in iTunes
iTunes is used as an import application for iOS devices
When transferring files from Mac to iOS devices iTunes, does not hold files, only a link to the file on the Mac
Do not confuse downloading music to iTunes

  • How do I give a large Keynote presentation from my new iPad?

Currently using a MacBook Pro. Trying very hard to pursue a seamless transition to using a Gen 2 iPad.
I can use iWork for the documents and can access photos and video off of the cloud. This one issue does seem to be stopping me. I frequently give a Keynote presentation that uses a series of video clips. These clips range from 14 seconds to 5 minutes in length.
I doubt I can even fit this amount of media onto my iPad. It does not seem possible to acess an external HD to use to feed the Keynote presentation to a projector or large monitor. Will this one issue stop me from transitioning to an iPad as my work device of choice?
    Thank you.

There are some email services that have a space limit for attached documents

  • Removing Keynote presentation from iWeb

I created a keynote presentation for an organization to proof and published it using iWeb which worked great. Now I would like to remove it. When I go to iWeb and click on remove entries, it is removed. But even after restarting my computer, it is still listed on my homepage. Thanks for any help.

There is a page I want to take down. I see the pages on idisk. I just deleted the page from idisk.
Glad to see you figured it out.
I also figured it out for someone one new year and it was a lot of fun
