Keypad Lock Icon Disappeared

I just plugged my blackberry into my computer so I could try syncing my music. In the process, the icon to lock the keypad disappeared from my home folder. I need it desperately because I always call rando people when the phone is in my purse. How do I reinstall this?

Once you get used to it, you will find it is much quicker and easier to use the mute key rather than scrolling around looking for the lock icon.
Also, in case you missed it, you canpress and hold the A key to lock, as well.

The lock icon by the battery gauge means that the screen rotation is locked. Read this and the article in the link.
First check the side switch on the side of the iPad above the volume control. Try flipping the switch the other way.
If that switch did not unlock the screen, then do this. Double tap the home button to bring up the task bar at the bottom. Swipe all the way to the right in the task bar. Look all the way on the left side and see if there is a lock icon there. If so, tap it and see if the lock icon disappears.
You can set the side switch to either mute system sounds or to lock the screen. Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Lock Rotation or Mute. Whichever function you choose for the side switch, the other function will be available in the task bar.

For this issue with Safari try these steps.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. In iOS 4.3 - clear history, cookies and cache. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that doesn't work - quit Safari - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Finally - if nothing else works - reset the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Lock icon on fla

hi,
i save my flas in the normal "save as" and i find some of my flas have a lock icon on the red fla icon.
What does this mean and how did i do this?, can it be undone?

The file isn't locked and it's no system or hidden file. Also, the lock doesn't look like the standard lock icon for svn repositories (in my case subversion).
When I move it to another folder, the lock disappears. Finally, I think it may be a false overlay, caused by TortoiseSVN. In the end, the file acts like a normal fla and I just ignore this detail from now on. :-)

E52 Keypad locking and calendar issue

Hello. I have two problems with my new E52 (although I do not have other problems described on this forum). So:
1. I wanted to make E52 work like s40 phone in terms of functions arrangement and, long story short, now Menu button is under middle navigation button (Menu is the first icon in the icon shortcuts on the desktop). Under left function key I have Profiles. Because of that I can't lock the keypad the way it was designed which is left_function_key-right_function_key. I know that I can lock it by using on/off button but that is not very convenient.
Is there any way to define other keypad locking sequence? For example like the old phones "Menu" + "*" ?
2. Second problem concerns calendar. I tried to synchronize it with Outlook via OVI and something went wrong. Right now I have many entries doubled and some of them finish in 2030. The option to delete before date in E52 does not work.
How can I clear the whole calendar?

Exactly. And it's not that only I have it set like that. I've read many complaints about it but no solution.

Ok that's weird... I've tried like hundred times using the combination left-right with no luck. I thought that's because I have an application set to the right soft key. But now when I tried this combination it actually worked!!!
I didn't get this part about the "house" button though. Is it another way to lock the phone?

I just updated the OS for my curve 9330 and the lock icon on the screen has disappeared, which I use constantly. I have tried shutting down and resetting - still nothing...

Don't shut down first... just remove the battery while powered on, for a proper BlackBerry reboot.
Otherwise, the lock icon only appears once the device password has been set. Do you have that device security password set?

Lock icon keeps appearing

the lock icon keeps appearing even if im not texting,calling or using the internet

Well jimmy. My present network doesn't show that, but lemme try to explain. Its just somehow refers to an unsecure connection voice and data connection.
Like in secure connections, there's a padlock. Here, the padlock isn't locked, instead its locking lever is turned to the other side indicating an unsecured connection. That's all it is.
Keypad lock is usually a key symbol instead of a padlock.

The internet was working fine til 10:31am philippine time. Was downloading OSX Lion, at that time it was somewhere half. Then all of a sudden internet failed and lost connection. Called my ISP immediately and was told it would take 24-48hours for the service to be restored. THen after ending the call the OSx Lion icon disappeared. I dont know what to do. Im not techie at all. After OS 10.4.6 update, mounting my other Mac - drives have lock icon. Why?

I have a Powerbook and a desktop G5. I share files between them and mount drives (my home directory) on both desktops to easily move files back and forth. Recently after I updated to 10.4.6, when I mount my home directory on either machine (from the other machine), the drive (folder) has a lock icon next to it making it READ only.
What can I do to remove that lock so I can WRITE to my home directory on each Mac? Thanks!

When I do Command-I, I see that I have read/write access for the local drive - depending on the machine I am sitting at - and the other networkeded drives allow read only.
I guess the question is - how does the system know a user with the same username and password are actually the same person?

On Finder Freeze/Relaunch All my desktop files & icons disappear

The title sums it up.
When ever my mac decides to go into spinning wheel mode and I have to force quit/relaunch finder, when I relaunch finder every desktop file & icon disappear.
At that point I'm forced to push the shutdown button on the tower and reboot, then all is well until the next time.
And the next time could be a day or a few days or a week. No rhyme or reason why.
Please help me solve this frustrating problem.
