Macbook Pro trackpad taps but doesn't click.

I have a 2009 macbook pro and the trackpad taps but doesn't click. I was wondering if something can be done to fix it so the click works again without taking it in to get fixed? I am currently using a wireless mouse, which is okay but just gets annoying to use sometimes. But if anyone knows of any tricks that might make the click on the trackpad work, that would awesome!

Even if your warranty has expired, the examination at an Apple store genius bar is free. If repairs are needed you will be informed of the costs. A trackpad repair/replacement should not bust the bank account.

To be specific. I have the imac late 2013 model, and i just bought the trackpad this October 2014. I have been using magic mouse without any problem. I just want to have a new experience with the trackpad. Any time i on my imac, i will have a normal screen with my picture and a guest column at the center. I need to click either my picture or the guest in order to have the space where i can key in my password with the keyboard. But unfortunately, my trackpad will show that it is connected and the cursor will be moving in front of the screen if i touch the trackpad, but if i try to click, i will get no response. I have to put back batteries inside my magic mouse and then click on my picture if i want to log in with my id or i click on the guest image if i want to log in as a guest. it is only after this that my trackpad will start responding.
i want to use only trackpad for now so as to be more efficient with it. I don't want to be putting back batteries inside the magic mouse only to on my imac. I need a solution please.

It sounds like you have assigned the primary click on the trackpad to something else, perhaps a gesture.
Use your mouse, login and then open the Trackpad preference pane and see how you have the interface configured.
Oh and you can have both the Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad powered up and working at the same time. No need to keep moving batteries around.

Nike plus sensor recognized but doesn't track distance.

I just opened a new sensor to replace my old one that ran out of batteries. I linked the new one to my ipod. When I start running, my sensor is detected and my pace is detected but no matter how far I run, my distance is still at 0.0 miles. What should I do?
I tried updating the ipod, putting the sensor to sleep and turned back on, turned off ipod and back on. Is there a way I can get the sensor replaced if I don't have a receipt?

Same issue here. Everytime I run after a while it stops tracking my mileage. It says workout stopped, click the center button to resume. Sometimes it makes the sensor work again, sometimes it doesn't.
Made sure receiver is plugged in correctly, but doesn't solve the issue

I suspect if you're trying to open a file in 08 that's been opened in 09 the file has been updated to 09 and will not open in 08.

IMovie shows up in Mission Control, but doesn't open when clicked.

Can't open iMovie. iMovie shows up in Mission Control, but doesn't open when clicked. It just disappears up in the top left corner of the screen. I have recently had my iphone 5 not show who is calling on call waiting. The phone beeps but doesn't show the number / per son that is calling, won't let me click over and won't show who it was in my call history. Help very annoying.

1st go into your settings then tap phone to see if call waiting is turned on or off. If call waiting isOFF turn it ON. You can use also Apple article HT 4515. I would contact my wireless carrier reguarding the caller id not showing up and also with help reguarding your call waiting as well

When I got in an email a link and I click on it, firefox openes the first time, but when I click on the next link I get the message that firefox is active but doesn't respond.
Opening by clicking on *.htm(l) files works fine even multiple.

I suggest you to upgrade your browser to Firefox 7 and check:

I suggest that you run software update, after which you should have Safari 6.0.5 - then check Safari - Preferences - Privacy & see that 'Block cookies' is not set to Always.
Failing that - switch Safari extensions Off via Safari - Preferences - Extensions & test again
