Keypad wont work on razr maxx

Is there a way to make the keypad to work more than once without having to exit firefox and restarting every time. It will type one time then after first page loads or want to search something else it wont type. The key pad comes up but when you type keys it just stays blank and cursor wont move

Do you have the "Don't Keep Activities" setting checked in the developer option of the Android Settings? We have seen this setting cause problems with keyboards in the past.
* Press the Home button
* Press the Apps listing button
* Select 'Settings'
* Select 'Developer options'
* Deselect "Don't keep activities'

    I was on mcdonalds web page checking a code and my keypad locked now srcceen is flashing but i am unable to get it to do anything including turn my ipad off.this happened at 10 this morning and not working.

    Try this.
    Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Keypad wont work on new keyboard.

    I have Paralells 8 and Windows 7 and a new wired iMac keyboard. The number pad will not work in Paralells but it works in the Mac atmosphere. Unfortunately I need to work in the Windows platform for my job. I purchased this keyboard specifically to have the keypad. I have already turned off the mouse keys thing in Universal access but the keypad still doesn't work in Paralells / Windows.
    Any suggestions?

    Are you able to move around the screen without the touchscreen? If so then you can do the hard reset if you cannot then you should take it into Verizon or you can call us and we can repair it for you. If you are outside the 1 year warranty you may have to pay repair costs. If you are not then you do not need to worry about the repair costs.

  • EmailNot Working on Razr Maxx after Upgrade

    My phone did the upgrade yesterday without an option to decline. Since this has happened, I am unable to get any of my email accounts to work, and even after removing and reinstalling them, I cant even compose an email at all. I dont have that option anymore. Anyone else having problems like this?????

    When I had this problem, the day after the upgrade, the rep at verizon had me change the incoming port and outgoing port numbers. I'd post the numbers if Icould remember them, but I can't.
    Just call em.

        Ahh. We can still help find the culprit, TeaParty14. Do you have any 3rd party applications installed to play your music? Are you able to hear any audio if you plug the headphones back into the phone instead of rebooting? Any audio for calls through the phone direct or through speakerphone?

  • Droid Razr Maxx HD wont turn on.

    My girlfriend has the Droid Razr Maxx HD. Shes has it for about a month and a half a few days ago it was acting funny so i had her turn it off and then it wont turn back on. I have tried the power+down volume method does absolutly nothing. But when i put it on the charger it shows the green charger light but nothing else at all. Any suggestions?

    Hi,
    Power button on my R Maxx (not HD) began to fail. But unlike your phone, plugging it into the charger did get it to go on. But once it cycled to black screen it stayed there.  Moto replaced the phone. Nuisance moving from one unit to another. But when I did a full hard factory reset before returning the phone, strangely the power button acted much better. But then the phone had been wiped clean so you may not want to venture there.

  • Just bought a new Droid Razr Maxx yesterday. WI-FI doesn't work at all.

    Bought a new Droid Razr Maxx yesterday 9/23/12. Everything on it works just fine, except Wi-Fi. My phone doesn't even search for networks. I bring up the wi-fi menu and it's just blank. I hit scan and nothing happens. I restarted my phone a few times and it finally brought some up (although they're gone now) and when I tried to connect it would just practically ignore my requests. I'd enter the password in, hit "connect" and absolutely nothing would happen. This isn't just a problem with my home router, It doesn't find/recognize any wireless networks at my major university either. I've never had an issue like this. What can I do? Maybe I should just take it back to my local Verizon store?
    Thanks!

    To do a Soft Reset You Hold the Volume Down and the Power at the Same Time till the Phone Shuts off let go of the Buttons and the Maxx will re-power itself up.. Give the Wi-Fi another Shot

  • Razr Maxx screen wont stay on for more then 3 seconds

    So I got my droid razr maxx in today and this is the first smart phone i've ever owned. The screen keeps shutting off after 3 seconds and i have to press the power button to put the phone in idle and then press it again to bring the phone back in order to make the screen turn back on. Nothing else makes the screen turn back on but i can select everything on the screen as if it were on. I had to set up my entire account by quickly punching in my gmail account and password before the screen turned off on me and i had to go idle and come back. I had to do this straight through the setup phase of the phone. When i finally finished the setup i went into the settings and set the display setting to never turn the screen off. It didn't stop the screen from turning off. So i charged the phone to 100 percent from the 60 percent it came at. The screen still shuts off 3 seconds after i turn the phone on. Is it bricked ? Whats going on ?

    Foon,
    Good afternoon! Congratulations on your first smart phone! I would love to offer my assistance to ensure your experience is an enjoyable one.  Ann154 asks a great question(thank you!). Is there a case, holster, etc covering up the proximity sensor? Even screen protectors have been know to degrade the ability of the sensor.  If you determine that nothing is obstructing the sensor, I recommend a 'Hard Reset' to the device in order to return the phone to factory settings. It may be necessary, after the reset, to go over options to have the device replace either under the 14-day exchange period or under Motorola's warranty.
    Please reply back so I and the community can assist further.
    Thank you,

  • My RAZR MAXX HD wont take the latest upload and my APs all crash

    My RAZR MAXX HD keeps failing on the latest upload..and now my APs all crash...any suggestions?  I already have tried the factory reset and it keeps happening...my contract isnt up until march and local store says i cant get a new phone until march....any suggestions

        Help is right here, front and center WadeB1450. May I ask when you completed the factory reset, did you restore all of your app and info on the device? If so then please check to see how much available device memory is available. We suggest have at least 3GB  available. Also, are you doing the update using cellular data or wifi? If you can provide us with this info along with your current software version then we can look into this for you.
    Thank you…

  • Razr MAXX HD Wont send pic messages over wifi

    My Razr MAXX HD will not send pictures while connected to wifi. is this a settings problem?

    No, the phone is operating normally.  Picture texts won't send/receive over wi-fi, they require a mobile data connection.
    If you have both wi-fi and mobile data turned on, the phone should switch as needed.  However, for some phones, depending on radio signal strength, you may have to turn wi-fi off for the picture texts to send/receive.

  • Droid Razr Maxx HD wont turn off when charging....

    I have been using Droids since they have come out and very familiar with them. I recently (three days ago) upgraded to the Razr Maxx HD and went to plug it in to charge (i already powered down) and when I plug it in to charge, the phone comes back on. I shut it off, while plugged in, and it power off and then turns right back on again. I have tried all combinations and can't get it to STAY OFF while i'm charging. Suggestions?

    Or use the Wall Plug which is a better perception by far and will charge the Phone as it was intended to be). Charging it Via Computer should only be done in half to Case..
    "half to Case"?

  • Does the VZW Family Locator work on the Droid Razr Maxx after ICS update?

    The VZW Family Locator App from "Play Store"  finds the Area-Location of my phone to about five miles, but it will not finish the "refining" action before timing out. Am I leaving something undone or is this App only partially compatible with the Droid Razr Maxx.

        Benidle, I'll be happy to assist you with Family Locator on your Razr Maxx. The app is compatible, but I just want to make sure that you have the feature active on your account as well. The app in the PlayStore is free to download, but there is a $9.99 charge for Family Locator. You can add this feature on your account by logging into My Verizon.
    If you have the feature and are still receiving this error, make sure your location settings are all turned on in Settings, Location Services.
    Let me know if you need further assistance!
