Keyword Containing Count Missing in LR3

In LR2 the keywords panel shows a count for the parent keywords, in LR3 this seems to be missing. For example I have a New Zealand keyword tag under Country which has a count of 17. Below this NZ keyword are North Island and South Island with counts of 2197 and 8132 respectively. In LR 2 there is a total of these two keywords showing against the parent keyword of New Zealand. Is there an option I need to have checked or something like that? The North and South Island keyword options are checked for export containing keyword, and they show under the Will Export Keywording panel. Seems a little confusing, obviously this is also happening for other countries and other keywords with children, e.g. wildflowers under flora....

As Lee Jay has pointed out, this is by design. Lightroom now only displays a count for explicit keywords.

  • Keyword list totals missing in LR3

    Top level totals missing in keyword list in LR3, these were there in LR2.  Totals available by individual keyword only.  I used these totals to check that all new photos had been keyworded, now I cannot say if I have missed some records or which ones they are.  No top level totals in search either.

    As Lee Jay has pointed out, this is by design. Lightroom now only displays a count for explicit keywords.

  • LR or Bridge Bug: Keyword Container

    If you import images already keyworded using Bridge (Keyword Container)
    For example:
    Container (Places)
    Subkey (United Kingdom)
    Subkey (London)
    Container (Immediate Family)
    Subkey (Mom)
    Subkey (Dad)
    I found that some images with keyword tree structure don't show keywords with container and subkeys correctly in Lightroom.(keyword tree structure breaks)
    The images that do not correctly show the keywords with its subkey and container have an extra string of code under http://ns.adobe.com/lightroom/1.0/ (when you view the file info in Bridge under Advanced).
    The string starts with: lr:privateRTKInfo: (and random letters and numbers)
    If one deletes this string the keywords show correctly in Lightroom.
    Now i have to go through tons of photos to delete that extra string. (hopefuly in batch).
    Any idea where that extra line comes from?
    OS: Windows XP SP2
    Lightroom 1.1
    Bridge 2.1.0.100

    Thanks. I searched but never found that message. I looked at my files in Bridge and I do not have that extra line of code. I also did another test where I started from scratch using the keywords imported into LR from Bridge. The first import put the keywords in the right Child place. The 2nd import started putting all Children as Parents using the same keyword as the Child already there.

  • Keyword list is missing

    My whole keyword list is missing in Lightroom 2. The keyword sets are there. I am using Win Vista. Has anyone else had this problem?

    The keyword list is there and it shows over 4000 photos in Places but not any of the many sub-terms in Places. It only shows church which I put in this morning. If I click on a photo, it shows 3 different keywords for that photo under Keyword Tags but only the category Places in the Keyword List (I had many other categories). I am pretty sure the whole list was there yesterday.

  • What is up with my "Keywords & Containing Keywords" box?

    I have the Time Warner Center location in New York City nested this way:  WORLD REGIONS & COUNTRIES>North America>United States of America>New York>NYC>New York City>Manhattan>Time Warner Center.
    After uploading images to LR2 I began keywording by typing "Time Warner ..." and then it autofilled the rest. I entered the keyword.  After I did so, I switched to the "Keywords & Containing Keywords" box and this is what I saw.  Is this what is going to appear when I export the file to my PhotoShelter archive?  I've not seen this before and don't understand what has caused it.  It is crazy.

    It looks like this because you have duplicate keywords in your Lightroom catalog — one in an hierarchy and one stand-alone. For example, if the keyword panel shows you a keyword in a form of "Manhattan > New York", that mean that you have applied the hierarchical Manhattan keyword, but the catalog also has a stand-alone Manhattan. Check you keyword list to see.
    When you export, the keywords will be exported as a flat list, not as a hierarchy and they will not contain the ">" symbols. All keywords in an hierarchy tree will be exported (as stand-alone flat keywords), except those that have "Include on Export" deselected in their properies (right-click a keyword in the keyword list to check this).

  • OBIEE - Division of two columns that contain count formulas

    I am trying to define a column in a report which divides a column entitled Difference (Target counts - Actual counts)by the column in the report which stores the Target counts. The Target and Difference columns contain formulas which provide the Target counts and calculates the difference between the Target counts and the Actual counts. The functions subtract and add seem to work fine, but when I use the division function I receive an incorrect result. What could I be missing here?

    When you mean "incorrect results" is that associated with only Grand Totals or entire result set?
    Also check if <ReportAggregateEnabled>true</ReportAggregateEnabled> is in instanceconfig.xml
    If none of the options above helped you,
    can you provide a sample extract containing 5 rows?

  • Counting missing rows in a join?

    Darn, I should be able to figure this out,
    but have scratched my head for hours on this,
    wondering if someone can come up with a
    sol'n:
    Given two example tables:
    Cust Order
    cust_no ord_no
    cust_no
    etc.
    I want to be able to list ALL customers,
    and the associated number of orders INCLUDING any cases where ZERO orders are registered for any customer.
    Cust #Orders
    A 13
    B 0
    C 4
    etc
    The first part is easy:
    SELECT cust_id, count(*) from order
    group by cust_id, order by cust_id;
    and I can set ZERO values for the "missing"
    customers with:
    SELECT c.cust_id, 0 from cust c
    where not exists
    (select * from order
    where order.cust_id = c.cust_id);
    BUT:
    I can't UNION (and then sort) these because
    of the stupid GROUP/ORDER clause on the
    first query.
    Anyone have any suggestion how to get around this?!?

    good answers, but as regards group by doing ordering, this is not "correct". It is true that group by needs to order, but you should not rely on this to give you an "ordered" list. You can confirm this caution as it is in the description of the group by clause. If you want to know that your code orders correctly, you must use an order by. If oracle decides he doesn't need the order by because of the grouping, he will exclude it:
    create table a (a number);
    explain plan for
    select a,count(*)
    from a
    group by a
    order by a
    SELECT STATEMENT
    SORT GROUP BY
    TABLE ACCESS FULL KM21378.A
    Good luck, Kevin

  • Keyword list image count is greater than metada keyword image count.

    How do you get the image counts to be the same? I have looked through the images of the offending keywords and there are no check marks against other keywords. Also above the film strip the total of all images selected is less than the total images. This has been an upgrade from Elements 10 catalog. Thanks.

    Thank you, but I need to start with a "clean slate" or at least a correct one. So I have persevered and found a solution, which may seem lengthy, but beats rebuilding the keyword structure image by image. I had numbers against parent keywords (should be zero) and incorrect numbers against child keywords, not all, but some cases of each. Dealing with the child keywords within a parent first and then the parent, the procedure I used was:-
    1. Select child keyword
    2. Select all
    3. Create collection using keyword name for clarity
    Repeat steps 1-3 for all child keywords within the parent keyword
    4. Delete the parent keyword
    5. Recreate the parent keyword
    6. Recreate all child keywords within the parent keyword
    7. Select a collection
    8. Select all
    9. Select the appropriate keyword and drag to an image
    Repeat steps 7-9 for remaining collections
    It appears to work and all the unaffected keywords are showing in each image!!!
    The engineer in me is satisfied!

  • Problems with "Keywords - contains all" in smart collection

    I imported multiple pictures from a shoot; each has keywords, and they all have a common keyword phrase, say "my common keyword phrase". I created a smart collection with "Keywords" using "contains all" and parameter "my common keyword phrase". It worked as expected - those images were included in the smart collection.
    However, I just imported a new picture that has "my common keyword phrase" in it, and the smart collection is not updated. The smart collection has no other AND or OR triggers.
    I can access all the images with this keyword phrase by accessing them via the keyword list in Library - all the images do show up. But what am I likely doing wrong with the smart collection? I am using LR 4.3.1 under Win7 (64-bit). Thanks!

    Have you tried deleting the preferences?  See Preference and other file locations in Lightroom 5.  Note that on more recent versions of Mac OS, you should reboot after deleting the preferences, since the operating system can cache them.
    Sprinkling this magic fairy dust often fixes weird LR behavior.

  • SCCM query to count missing and installed updates

    Hi guys, I'm looking for a couple of queries. Hopefully someone can help me out.
    The first, which is probably simpler; a query which will give me the count of missing updates and the count of installed updates for every machine that has 1 ore more update missing. I am not interested in the number of updates installed on a machine that
    doesn't have any updates missing. Would also be good to know when the machine last reported in.
    So something like this:
    The second, I assume more complicated one; a query that will give me the count of missing updates but broken down into their classification (ie. critical, service packs, updates...) and a count of the installed updates.
    So something like this:
    Is this possible?

    OK, so discovered the below:
    26 = critical
    27 = Definition Updates
    28 = Drivers
    29 = Feature Packs
    30 = Security Updates
    31 = Service Packs
    32 = Tools
    33 = Update Rollups
    34 = Updates
    Also, the below query returns a list of total updates required for each machine.
    select
          CS.Name0 [Server Name],
    case
    when
    (sum(case
    when UCS.status=2
    then 1 else 0
    end))>0 then
    ('Needs '+(cast(sum(case
    when UCS.status=2
    then 1 else 0
    end)as
    varchar(10))+
    ' Patches'))
    else
    'Good Client'
    end
    as 'Status',
          ws.lasthwscan
    as 'Last HW scan',
          FCM.collectionID--,
    from
          v_UpdateComplianceStatus UCS
    left
    outer join dbo.v_GS_COMPUTER_SYSTEM  CS
    on CS.ResourceID
    = UCS.ResourceID
    join v_CICategories_All catall2
    on catall2.CI_ID=UCS.CI_ID
    join v_CategoryInfo catinfo2
    on catall2.CategoryInstance_UniqueID
    = catinfo2.CategoryInstance_UniqueID
    and catinfo2.CategoryTypeName='UpdateClassification'
    left
    join v_gs_workstation_status ws
    on ws.resourceid=CS.resourceid
    left
    join v_fullcollectionmembership FCM
    on FCM.resourceid=CS.resourceid
    WHERE
         UCS.Status
    = '2'
    and FCM.collectionid
    = 'SMS00001'
    Group
    by
          CS.Name0,
          ws.lasthwscan,
          FCM.collectionID
    Order
    by
          CS.Name0,
          ws.lasthwscan,
          FCM.collectionID
    If I add the following, I get the total 'critical' updates required by each machine:
    WHERE
    catinfo2.CategoryInstanceID
    = 26 AND
         UCS.Status
    = '2'
    and FCM.collectionid
    = 'SMS00001'
    Changing the value '26' to one of the others listed above returns that classification.
    Anyone know how I can incorporate "WHERE catinfo2.CategoryInstanceID = xx"
    to list each update classification?

  • Bernhard Fashion BT font missing in Lr3?

    I had a desktop with Lr2 then updated to Lr3 and was running 3.3.  I bought a new tower this weekend and transferred over all my pics and .lrcat and installed Lr 3 from disk and updated to 3.3.  I went to export some pics and I couldn't find the font I like.  Bernhard Fashion BT
    Did they drop that one on version Lr3 or 3.3?
    also, is there any way to add fonts or a place I can look at examples of all the fonts without having to click on them one at a time?
    thanks

    I've just checked 4 systems and don't see the font you mention, which would suggest that your missing font was/is not part of Lr install. So, it must have been installed by another application.

  • Counter miss TELL pulses, NI DAQmx 9181 with NI 9402

    Hi,
    I am trying to read TTL pulses from a function generator using a counter. I am applying a 1KHz signal to the counter. Every time counter reads the pulses correctly in first cycle of measurement, but it miss some counts in all following cycles.
    I am using NI cDAQ 9181 Chassis and NI 9402 module with LabVIEW 2014 and NI Max 14.0.
    My computer has Windows 8.1 operating system.
    Please find the attached VI and images of Front Panel after run.
    What could be the reason for that, please guide.
    Thanks !

    1.  The Elapsed Time VI starts counting when you first call it, so the first loop will take about the desired amount of time (although OS timing is not very reliable anyway).  The Express VI will reset itself as soon as you hit the time target.  Then, you wrap back around and reconfigure your task.  This takes time (during which the DAQ task is not counting, but the Elapsed Time VI has already been reset), and so all subsequent acquisitions will actually run some time less.  For example, if the configuration took 100 ms and you wanted to acquire 1 second of data, you would only get ~90% of the count.
    2.  The time it takes to reconfigure the task is going to vary dramatically with the bus you are using due to latency (ethernet > USB > PCI/PCIe).  So it makes sense that the problem was not noticeable with PCI, and it was most severe with ethernet (9181) compared to USB (9171).
    3.  Discarding the first sample on buffered counter measurements is a behavior change with STC3-based DAQ products (e.g. X Series, C Series, 621x) compared to older NI DAQ products (e.g. E Series, M Series, 9172).  In your case, when you use the E Series card the first measurement represents the count measured between the arming of the task and the first edge of the gating counter (which toggles almost immediately, you are very unlikely to receive an external 1 kHz clock edge during this time).  Since this measurement is often not desired and can be confusing, it is discarded in the newer NI hardware.
    Here is the behavior from the M Series and X Series user manuals (I know not your exact hardware, but I know that the diagrams are in these manuals and your E Series and cDAQ systems respectively will behave the same).

  • Counts missing

    I seem to be missing the little red photo counts in the corners when I am in a web album, web journal, or book. I dont think I had done anything, but simply opened and closed the app. Did I mistakenly turn them off somehow?

    Pressing U will toggle all the metadata, so maybe that?
    Or maybe you are looking at images that really have not been used in the book.
    In the view options (command J) there is the Show Decorations checkbox that controls whether the lighttable images are plain or not.
