Keywords case sensitive when starting with umlaut

I have a keyword in my hierarchy named "Übigau" - a borough of Dresden.
When typing the first letters "üb" in the Ctrl-K keyword field the keyword is not suggested. But if I type "Üb..." it shows up! This is not how it works for every other keyword...
Additionally I noticed the same behaviour for the keyword search/filter field, if I type lowercase, nothing shows up:
If I type uppercase, keywords show up!

  • [Solved] Username case sensitivity when logging in via BASIC authentication

    Hi,
Quick question... where the web.xml file defines BASIC authentication for an app, can a change be made somewhere to make the username case INsensitive ?
.. such that passwords remain case sensitive but usernames can be upper/lower regardless of how they are stored (in the database in this case, via DBTableOraDataSourceLoginModule).
I was thinking I could add an upper(supplied_username) function wrapper somewhere before the supplied username / stored username are compared.. what class/file would I need to edit to try that solution?
If not possible.. would form authentication be a better option for case insensitivity, and if so would it be difficult to hookup a custom login form to the DBTableOraDataSourceLoginModule instead of the BASIC login window ?
    Thanks..

    Hi,
by default all username and password is cases sensitive - no matter how the logon is performed. The DBTableOraDataSourceLoginModule provides an option to handle passwords case insensitive (as explained in the documentation !)

    =====
The case-sensitivity when comparing login user names to names in the database. Use sensitive to require case-sensitive comparisons, toupper to convert the login user name to all-uppercase, or tolower to convert the login user name to all-lowercase. (If anything other than these three values is specified, the default value will be used.)
    Default: sensitive
    Example: toupper

Help!!! Brand new MBP with Santa Rosa Kernel Panics when started with external HD firewire 800 after 20 sec...
I don't know what it could be???
    Do you???
    Thanx
    Jay

I'm actually having a similar issue and I don't think its related to networking at all.
I'm currently working in a corporate environment where we deploy pre-built OS X images to machines. I recently upgraded my images to 10.4.10 before we got our first Santa Rosa machine. This image was built on a MacPro and worked on all Intel Macs down to a MacMini CoreSolo. When I deployed my prebuilt image to the SR MBP, it caused a kernel panic immediately.
Further investigation revealed previous builds of OS X, including 10.4.10 upgraded from any other model Intel Mac will kernel panic the SR MBP. Going backwards the SR Build of OSX will not work on any previous model Mac, as any other build typically does, but causes severe graphical distortion, as if it does not have the display drivers for the other Macs.
To make a long story short, I think your issue comes from the fact that your external hard drive has an older build of OS X 10.4 than the SR MBP will run (even though you may have upgraded it to 10.4.10). Anyone who can corroborate my story with some more testing, please chime in.
I haven't found a solution for this issue yet other than keeping a seperate Santa Rosa Core 2 Duo image for my deployments.

    Hello Per Rune,
I have a similar problem. Where exactly did you add the paramters? In the offline tool for the j2ee engine?
    Many thanks for your answer.

  • Play music random when started with earphone or via bluetooth

since the upgrade to iOS7 my playlists do not play normally.
whenever I start listening music through the earphone, start with the button on the wire, it starts with a different song that I stopped (even in the middle). It doesn't occur when I start / stop the music for only a few seconds. It seems to occur when a switch takes place in the device where the music is sent to (for this particular example the bluetooth device in my car). In the past this worked fine. the playlist I regularly listen to is 102 songs long, takes a while to complete it. So since the update it won't let me listen to my favorite playlist complete, with an interuption of getting in or out of my car. Is the playlist damaged? It seems to play fine if I listen to it all at once, but whenever I stop (with change of bluetooth etc.) I am supprised by other albums on my Iphone. Any advise would be helpful

I'm having the exact same problem, phone is connected to the car but music wont play through it. I've noticed today it said handsfree disconnected in the bluetooth and phone setting. Haven't a clue what to do but i'm finding it annoying.

  • Is ist possible to define heap size when start with java -jar

    Hi,
I start my application as executable jar. How can I set the heapsize when double clicking myapp.jar ? With java -Xmx512m -jar myapp.jar it should go. But can I specify this when double clicking the myapp.jar ?
    Thanks
    Oli

For all jars it is not acceptable I think.... the value as entry in the manifest.mf could be nice... :(

  • How to survive when starting with EBS

    Hi all,
my company decided to go for Oracle EBS. As I will be responsible for administration of Oracle Apps (backups, patching,...and also task like settings, creating users - sysadmin things) I would like to ask You to advise me how to start...I mean I have found a lot of literature on the web but there are too many things to learn in a short period of time. Is reading manuals that have 1000+ pages really the only way :)
Thans for Your suggestions and kind regards,
    Peter

Steven Chan's E-Business Suite Technology Blog is good place to read up on the latest happenings in the Apps DBA space.
    http://blogs.oracle.com/schan/
Make sure you have a Metalink Account.
Lay down a Vision demo instance and practice 11i patching, database patching/upgrades, quarterly security patches, etc, and see if you do not break it. Log in as sysadmin/sysadmin and navigate around in System Administrator forms and Oracle Applications Manager (OAM) framework pages. There are a lot of little known useful features in OAM.
Get some experience on a single node install before trying too esoteric installations; multi-tier, DMZ, RAC/ASM etc. Then you will have a little experience when you start creating your own development/test instances.

  • Trying to install photoshop cs6 purchased last christmas for wife on a MAC and the redemption code is coming up invalid. Tried to enter it case sensitive as well with same result.  Is there a timeline to install this after purchase?

    Any help is appreciated thanks!

I'm not sure.  It was from a dept store out the box.
Inside is a little black card with the redemption code.
Front of box says Adobe Photoshop CS6 MAC OS.

  • Still need help with case sensitive strings

Hello guy! Sorry to trouble you with the same problem again,
    but i still need help!
"I am trying to create a scrypt that will compare a String
with an editable text that the user should type to match that
String. I was able to do that, but the problem is that is not case
sensitive, even with the adobe help telling me that strings are
case sensitive. Do you guys know how to make that comparison match
only if all the field has the right upper and lower case letters?
    on exitframe
    if field "t:texto1" = "Residencial Serra Verde"then
    go to next
    end if
    end
    |----> thats the one Im using!"
There were 2 replys but both of them didnt work, and the
second one even made the director crash, corrupting even previously
files that had nothing to do with the initial problem..
    first solution given --
If you put each item that you are comparing into a list, it
    magically
makes it case sensitive. Just put list brackets around each
    item.
    on exitframe
if [field "t:texto1"] = ["Residencial Serra Verde"] then
    go to next
    end if
    end
    Second solution given--
The = operator is not case-sensitive when used on strings,
but the < and > operators are case-sensitive.
So another way to do this is to check if the string is
neither greater than nor less than the target string:
    vExpected = "Residencial Serra Verde"
    vInput = field "t:texto 1"
    if vExpected < vInput then
    -- ignore
else if vExpected > vInput then
    -- ignore
    else
-- vExpected is a case-sensitive match for vInput
    go next
    end if
    So any new solutions??
    Thanks in advance!!

The first solution does in fact work and is probably the most
    efficient way
of doing it. You can verify that it works by starting with a
    new director
movie and adding a field named "t:texto1" into the cast with
    the text
"Residencial Serra Verde" in the field. Next type the
    following command in
the message window and press Enter
put [field "t:texto1"] = ["Residencial Serra Verde"]
You will see it return 1 which means True. Next, make the R
    in the field
lower case and execute the command in the message window, it
    will return 0
    (true).
Now that you know this works, you need to dig deeper in your
    code to find
what the problem is. Any more info you can supply?

  • Keywords are case-sensitive

Does this have any real value?
Being a lousy typist, it causes me a lot of troubles (all recoverable).
    Please consider removing keyword case-sensitivity.

"So, that means somebody whose last name is 'Gold' would end up being in the same results for searching for 'gold'?"
Yup, that's the way it is anyway. the Find function is NOT case sensitive.
"You can see where that would be a problem... "
No I can't see how it makes any difference.
    Jeff,
The search function is NOT case sensitive. Since it isn't case sensitive, I don't see the need for case sensitivity anyplace. It just cause problems on entry.
    Say I have existing keywords:
    Birds
    Eagles
    Bald
    Golden
If I enter the keyword "Bald" in the Keywording panel to an image of a Bald Eagle it gets categorized correctly. If I accidentally enter "bald" a new keyword is created at the top of the hierarchy.
If I then enter "bald" or "Bald" in the Find panel all Bald Eagles are found. It also finds "Mt. Baldy". Because of this, I usually just click the keyword "Bald" to find my Bald Eagle images. If I have made a mistake, my search is incomplete.
To correct the mistake, I have to correct the error in the Keywording panel and then delete the bad keyword...not so bad if I notice it right away...which I usually don't. I periodically scan the list for incorrect keywords at the top of the hierarchy.

  • CSS cookieurl: case sensitive?

    Hello,
As far as I understand, the HTTP header cookie field, and the embedded cookie (in a URL) are case-sensitive. Is this correct?
    The settings look like this:
    content stickyCookie
    advanced-balance cookieurl
    string prefix "SESSION_ID="
On the HTTP header the cookie field looks like this:
    Set Cookie: SESSION_ID=ABCDEF
But if instead of this, the request comes from a client with the cookie embedded in the url, it looks like this:
    http://localhost/Info/index;session_id=ABCDEF?page=home.
Is this field case-sensitive for the CSS? I know it is for the ACE, as I have done this and there is the "cookie secondary" command where you can specify how the url-embedded cookie looks like.
So I am afraid there is no way of making this work on a CSS?
Any help will be much appreciated!

    Hi Javier,
The Cisco CSS is case-sensitive when searching for this string.
When configuring the CSS 11000 and 11500, determine first if you need a server cookie string. If the string operation under the content rule is match-service-cookie, which is the default setting, this parameter must be configured. In this case the service cookie string is matched against the cookie contained in the HTTP header for load balancing decision.
If the string operation under the content rule is set to the hash method, this parameter is not needed. In order to select one of the available servers, the cookie contained in the HTTP header is mathematically processed using a hashing algorithm. If available, the hash algorithm assigna the connection carrying a certain cookie to the same server. This example focuses on the match-service-cookie case.
    Note: Cookies are case sensitive.

    training4(config-service[server_h])# string AARIKA
    Configuring the Content Rule
Note: Cookies require a Layer 5 rule.
You can create a Layer 5 rule by adding a URL.
    For example, .
A Layer 4 rule can be promoted to a Layer 5 rule by issuing the advanced-balance cookies command.
    Choose the advanced-balance method.

Below is an example of a cookie string, and how some of the parameters work.
    ASPSESSIONJJKKJJKK=LV2KJK44444444
!--- The string prefix = ASPSESSION.
    !--- The string skip-length = 9. Skip
!--- nine characters after the prefix.
    !--- The string process-length = 6, which would make
    !--- the string LV2KJK matching service server_g.
    ASPSESSIONSQPMMJHK=AARIKAMDESLD
    !--- Matches service server_h.
Below is a sample configuration for the cookie strings.
    !************************** SERVICE **************************
    service server_g

  • How do I move my large iTunes collection from a case-sensitive hard drive to a case-insensitive hard drive?

I currently keep my iTunes media on an external hard drive because it takes up too much space on my machine. I recently discovered that it was formatted as case-sensitive when I bought it, and now months later I'm having issues. When attempting to back up my files on a case-insensitive hard drive, the operation failed due to conflicting file/folder names (Artist and artist are now considered the same file name and one would have to overwrite the other). I now have a large iTunes file collection that is stuck on the case-sensitive hard drive, and I want to save a backup on a case-insensitive drive.
Is there a way to identify all cases where multiple files/folders have the same title/album/artist but different spelling so there will be no conflicts? The folder/file names would have to be crossed referenced to highlight any cases where File/fiLe/file  would cause a problem.
I imagine there is a way to do this using iTunes script or Automator  or a command in terminal or something rather than going through and checking/fixing all the information for thousands of songs by hand. I'm at the limits of my minimal development skills, so any help would be appreciated.

You should be able to use either "Carbon Copy Cloner" or "SuperDuper" (free for this purpose) to copy your case-sensitive volume to an empty case-insensitive one. Make at least two such copies on different drives. One is not enough to be safe.
If there are any name conflicts—that is, files in the same folder with names that differ only in case, such as "File" and "file"—then you will either get an error or one of the files won't be copied. You must ensure either that no such conflicts exist, or that the consequences are not important. How you do that is up to you. Unless you went out of your way to create conflicts, they probably don't exist.
Then erase the source volume in Disk Utility as case-insensitive. This action will remove all data from the volume.
Restore from one of your backups using the same application you used to create it, or use the "Restore" feature of Disk Utility, which will be faster. Search its built-in help for the term "duplicate" if you need instructions.
