Keywords for geo-lcation

In my previous website the name of the city where my office is located was always quite productive as a keyword. I did that with no attention/awareness of SEO. I'm developing my keywords for my new site and would like to capitalize on neighboring suburbs; I haven't really sat down and focused on it yet, but my first thought about how i would mention several towns seemed awkward- particularly wondering if you need to have the state named after each town. i.e "conveniently located close to Frisco, Tx, Coppell, TX, etc. Is there an identified strategy of how to stick a bunch of city names in there in a smooth way, or "hidden" somehow?

One thing you mustn't do is hide words in your web page as Google sees this as spamming.
As long as you have TX and Texas in the text of the page you shouldn't need to append it to the city name.
One way to get a list of towns in each page is to incorporate them in the footer with all the other info that is repeated on every page such as your location and contact info.
If you haven't already done so, enter your business in Google Places. Here you can specify a radius from your location that you service.

Another place to mention the city names is in the meta description of one or more pages of your site. Use the freeware iWeb SEO Tool to add this on the meta tag page. The meta tags themselves are not of much importance nowadays but the meta description is essential as this forms the content of the Google entry below the title tag....

     The following list describes the tokens available in LabVIEW.
    Token

    reports.
    <pages>
    Total number of pages. LabVIEW ignores this token for HTML

  • Display of keywords for multiple images error in LR5

    In LR5, when two images are selected in Library view, the results in the Keyword Tags panel are incomplete. In my instance, two images were selected. They have some common keywords and those are properly displayed. However, the keywords assigned to only one image appeared with an asterisk in previous versions of LR, a behavior I would like to see continue.
    In my instance, one keyword for, we'll say, Image A only, appears but with no asterisk, it should display an asterisk. And, one keyword unique to Image B does not appear at all when both images have been selected, it too should appear with an asterisk.
    I'm on a Mac running 10.8.4 and LR CC.

    Are you in GRID view when you have the multiple photos selected?  The asterisk only shows up in Grid view.  I am also on 10.8.4 and it works for me.

  • Keywords for standard buttons

    Hello Experts,
           In Table Maintenance Generator, I want to add event 'Before delete data' . When user wants to delete data using Table Maintenance Generator, it should pop up for confirmation. If user clicks on 'yes' button then it should delete the record and if user clicks on 'No' button it should come back to TMG without deleting record.
           How to give events for standard delete button ? Is their any keyword which represents standard delete button? If their is keywords for all standard buttons then it is appreciable if someone share link from where I can get keywords for all standard buttons.
    Thank you in advance

    I am afraid, the new release does not include changes where you can replace buttons with images.

  • Keywords for sysidcfg in jumpstart

    Hi all,
    where can I find a complete list of all possible keywords for the sysidcfg file using a jumpstart server?
    I want to set up a Solaris 10-11.06 x86 on a Dell gx240; the installation should run in text mode, but with my sysconfig file there's always coming up a request about the display, keyboard and graphics.
    The target is an installation without any interaction!
    here's my sysidcfg:
    keyboard=ATKBD {layout=de}
    display=ati {size=17-inch}
    pointer=MS-S
    name_service=NIS {domain_name=DMAINNAME
    name_server=nisserver(10.x.y.z)}
    root_password=BLABLA
    system_locale=C
    timezone=CET
    timeserver=localhost
    terminal=vt100
    security_policy=NONE
    network_interface=primary {netmask=255.255.0.0
    default_route=10.a.b.c
    protocol_ipv6=no}
    Thx in advance!

    Well, what I would like to have is a complete list of all possible values for the sysidcfg file in the jumpstart directory. For example for the keyword terminal the value "vt100" and "xterm" and "sun-cmd" are possible; which values I can use also? What's about keyboard or display? Or is it possible to get these values automatically?
    That's my problem: I use a german keyboard and after install Solaris10-x86 the keyboard is set to en-US; the only trick I found was using "eeprom kbd-type=German" in the postinstall script. Would be helpful to have a automatic hardware detection - for Linux this works nice... don't get me wrong, I love Solaris (sparc) since 1992, but some things in Linux are also very nice...

  • Common Keywords for Multiple Libraries

    Hello,
    I have a number of iPhoto libraries, each of which has its own set of Keywords. I now want to use a single set of Keywords to all the libraries. Is there a way to do this without having to manually edit the Keyword preferences for each library?
    Thanks.
    Mike

    Hello Terence,
    I have no idea who Kevin is! Sorry about that. Now that I have the name straight, maybe I can get my message straight!
    I understand that the keywords are part of the iPhoto database. My goal is for all my libraries to share a common list of keywords. Specific pictures in a library would be assigned applicable keywords from the common list. Thus, keywords for particular pictures will be different in almost all cases. This difference is why I don't see how to avoid having to assign the specific keywords on a picture by picture basis.
    Thanks for the Keyword Manager link. It gets great reviews and I think it could be very helpful for what I am trying to do. However, KM 1.4.1 fails to install on my iBook G4, OS 10.4.11. I have posted this to Bullstorm and it looks like I need to install SIMBL in order for KM to install. From my web searches it looks like SIMBL could lead to headaches with future software upgrades. After I update my keywords, I plan to upgrade from iPhoto 6 to iPhoto 8 and then later this year I will move to OS 10.5. Assuming no other changes do you think this will lead to problems with SIMBL?
    Thanks for your help and patience!

  • A keyword for marking default protection

    Today java is missing a keywork for marking default (package) protection. This is marked just by not using private, protected or public.
    To me code with a explicit defined protection is easier to read than code where protection is defined by not using any keyword.
    I think java should have a keyword for explicitly declaring the protection level.
    I have searched bugs.sun.com for an issue about this, but didn't find any.
    Does anybody here has any thoughts about this topic?

    An optional package-private keyword would be just another source of confusionThen don't tell anyone about it :). Those who wanted it will find out, one way or another.
    I agree that I wish package-private had its own keyword, as I think it would make code more readable (a compiler preprocessor instruction forcing yourself to specify access level might be nice too). Personally, because there was no keyword for package-private, I spent the majority of my Java life thinking that the default (no keyword) was the same as "protected", because I assumed it had to be one of the three (public, protected or private). So from my experience anyway, not having a keyword is introducing a lot more confusion than adding one late in the game.
    The biggest problem I'd see with the addition would be that they haven't reserved a suitable keyword, and introducing a new keyword will either 1. run the risk of breaking existing code (identifiers using keywords added late) or 2. increase parser complexity.
    Could always use the default keyword in a separate context though:
    public class Clazz  {
       default int myData;
    }Or change the grammar rules for declarations:
    public class Clazz {
       package private int myData;
    }

  • Synchronized keyword for simple addition

    Hi, I have a function, as given below
    {noformat}public static void increment() {{noformat}{noformat} a = a + 1; {noformat}{noformat}}
    {noformat}
    This function will be called from multiple threads (a is also a static variable).
    My question is should I use "synchronized" keyword for this method to avoid unpredictable results? Is there a way to wirte this function without using "synchronized" keyword?
    Please suggest.

    Thanks, jwenting. I wanted to confirm that "synchronized" has to be used.
    jwenting wrote:
    yes. Depending of course on what you decide to be "unpredictable" :)you understand what "unpredictable" means here ;)
    jwenting wrote:
    yes, don't use a static variable but a method local one. Of course that will have a totally different effect.Variable "a" should be a class level variable. Yes, local variable has a totally different effect. ;)

  • Possible to export keywords for images in a catalog?

    I have a fairly large catalog with scanned images (several thousands of images). The images have a number of keywords each and many have descriptions and titles. From this, I would like to create some sort of web site where this information is preserved. The web that I'm envisioning should list all the keywords that occurs in the catalog, and if you click on a keyword it should show all images tagged with the keyword.
    However, with Lightroom 1.2 it doesn't seem to be possible to have the keywords included in the web gallery. Or am I wrong? Is it possible somehow?
    My next way of attacking this problem was to use the xmp sidecar files. Since the keywords are stored in the sidecar xmp file, I thought that I would be able to retrieve the keywords from the xmp-file with the help of some scripts and XSLT. Yes, a little extra work involved of course, but still doable. Unfortunately, since I've got TIFF files and not RAW files, the xmp data is embedded in the TIFF file and not written in the sidecar xmp file. Is it possible to have the xmp data written to the sidecar file also for TIFF images?
    Yes, it should be possible to extract the xmp data from the TIFF files, merge all this data into a big xml file and then process that with an XSLT script, but I would rather avoid poking inside the TIFF file, if at all possible.
    If I can just get some sort of mapping between all images and the keywords, preferably in an xml format (html or plain text would also do) I should be able to build the web myself.
    Any advice on how I can achieve this?

    yes it is possible to do this, but it is a bit complicated. Under the share menu choose export media. In the dialog that appears you can choose audio only. There are options for AAC, AIFF etc. The problem is that it will export all of the audio from your project so if you want only audio from a particular clip to be exported you need to create a new project and then copy/paste the clip into the new project. You can then export that audio as described above. An alternative is to create a new empty compound clip in the browser and open it in a timeline and copy/paste your clip into it. You can then export audio only as above. Once you have edited the audio, import it into FCPX and add as attached clip to the original clip. You can either drag the volume of the original audio down so it is not audible or detach the original audio and delete it. Not as simple as in previous versions of FCP but do-able.

  • Why are keywords for Delicious bookmarks no longer recognized in Firefox 25 and Firefox 26?

    I use Delicious Bookmarks 2.3.4 for synchronizing bookmarks and their keywords on different computers. After updating to Firefox 25 the keywords are no longer recognized. If I enter a keyword like "foo" it doesn't send me to the bookmark with the keyword but starts a google search for "foo". When I downgrade to Firefox 24 it works again.
    Was this change introduced by purpose (like the keyword search removal in FF 23) or is this only some side effect?
    Is there any way to get rid of this problem and have that feature again?

    That would be a question for Delicious support or Help.
    Have you tried some basic Firefox troubleshooting, like the Firefox SafeMode? <br />
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
    Firefox 25 was released 6 1/2 weeks ago and this is the first mention I have seen in this forum about Delicious keywords no longer working in Firefox 25 and above.
