  • Khmer keyboard for iOS 9 or 10 if not 6.1.4?

    Dear all Cambodian colleagues and Apple team,
    I have long been waiting for the official Apple iOS to integrate the Khmer language and keyboard layout into its official iOS. However, up to now Apple has not add this update to its latest firmwares. It is very annoying not to have one more language for the common usage.
    Hope to hear from the Apple team.

  • Unicode characters appear as      (boxes) in AIR for IOS

    I am developing an application for iPhone and it has an input Text box. (Placed on stage from flash CS6). In the Desktop emulator everything works fine. But, on the actual phone, everything I type appears as       . But surprisingly, when I am inputting the text, (i.e. the textbox is in edit mode) the characters are displayed correctly. But as soon as I leave the box it appears as       . Is there someway I can display the text the same way it is displayed during the edit mode?
    I am trying to input Devanagari देवनागरी characters.
    P.S. I did some research on this and found that, if I specify the  font for the textbox = "DevanagariSangamMN" then there is some improvement.
    I say improvement becasue althought the boxes       are replaced by actual characters , they aren't correctly formated.
    For e.g. during edit mode the text appears as this: कार्यकर्ता
    But as soon as I leave the textbox it appears as this: कार्यकर्ता (I typed this here by adding special unicode characters ZWNJ so that characters won't join)
    Anyway, I don't like the idea of having to specify font names? What If some user would like to input chinese, how would I know what chinese font to use?
    Isn't there some way to let IOS handle things, (just like how it handles things when I am inputing text).
    Thanks.

    Thanks to everyone who replied.
    The conclusiver answer is that there are only 2 ways to display H264 video in AIR for IOS
    (more info here http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/flash/net/NetStream.htm l#play%28%29)
    1. Progressive download
    2. HLS format (slight caveat, in my tests at least, OSMF 1.6.1 does'nt handle this, but if you use the NetStream directly with StageVideo enabled it works)
    Updated Matrix is :

  • An necessaries requirement of Java for using Khmer Unicode

    Hi Java Architecture or Engineering,
    May you describe me about any specific requirement that Java 1.6 can support Khmer Unicode?
    My Simulation problem:
    Recently, newgenlib (Open source Library) have been launch new version what can support Khmer Unicode.
    But after do the update as their letter, I found that some Clients recognize Khmer Unicode "ធនធានធម្មជាតិ"but some does not recognize and show "⌷⌷⌷⌷⌷⌷⌷⌷⌷⌷⌷⌷".
    Moreover, I have been deleted Arial Unicode MS font.
    And also paste Fontconfig.properties to JAVA_PATH\jre6\lib.
    => How can I solve this issue???

    There's nothing Firefox can do about that. You need to contact Command Center.
    Using old, possibly insecure, programs is never a good idea.

  • Khmer Unicode?

    I'm looking for Khmer unicode to support my Browser. Thanks

    Hi there, thanks to all for asking and replying with support on this issue. I hope the company is working on it. As Android and iOS hitting hard around the world, especially in developing countries like Cambodia, Blackberry should include these many small nations. Not many marketing specialists abroad know how Cambodian/Khmer people use phone here, some use many phones and many plateforms all together. As we are developing, we are keen to use and try many things at the same times without caring much of how much money we can find. This is the dilemar where more knowledge but less saving.
    I start using Blackberry since the Bold 9900, a great phone. Stable, easy UI, feel tough when holding it unlike Samsung plastic, and iPhone insecurity when holding it where most of the time i feel wanna drop it from my hand and this is not that Blackberry is heavier than iPhone, but because of its design concept.
    If Blackberry still focus on Enterprise and company, they wont have chance to survive longer except from Government subsidy or contract. And when Apple start to focus more on government with different existing iOS, let say iOSEnterprise, than Blackberry will be a legacy for human kind.
    Today geopolitic landscape trigger people around the world about their identity, so individual font on device will raise up the favor.
    Trust it or not, Blackberry device i used never get slow like iOS or Android Device. The longer you use it, the longer you feel attach. I never sold back my Blackberry devices, but my Apple and Andriod.
    Keep up Team Blackberry, we wanna bring Holliwood style in our hand. Cheer ... !!!

  • How to install and use the Khmer unicode Khmer MEF1 and Khmer MEF2?

    How to install and use the Khmer unicode Khmer MEF1 and Khmer MEF2?
    from www.mef.gov.kh in the bottom of the page, you can get the unicode for the ms office

    I think that stuff is for windows, a waste of time trying to use it on a Mac.
    There is no need to download anything for Khmer on a Mac.  Apple provides Khmer fonts and keuyboards with OS X.
    OS X Mountain Lion: Type in another language
    MS Word for Mac does not support Khmer.  Use TextEdit, Pages, Nisus Writer, LibreOffice instead

  • Adobe Player 10 do not support khmer unicode?

    Hi!
    I created a flex application with flexl builder 3.0.2 with khmer unicode. (you can download khmer unicode on http://www.khmeros.info). When I type khmer  test in textinput or other input control I got this text ?????????????????????. but If I assigned value by hard code It display correctly. it seem Flash Player 10 could not give correct text value to control.
    If someone or adobe know about this pb pleas help me!
    Thank!
    Boren

    You may be more likely to get a reply if you post in the Flex forum.
    Normally this kind of reaction is that the application is not built for multibyte strings (i.e. multibyte characters getting handled as single bytes).  I do not know if you as a developer have any way to control this in Flex, so ask in the Flex forum.

  • CR XI R 2 and CR 2008 does not render Khmer Unicode correctly

    Post Author: khmerangkor
    CA Forum: General
    Having evaluate CR XI R 2 and CR 2008 in Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008.  The result:When I work with Crystal
    Report Application itself is fully supporting the Khmer Unicode. Then
    I include it into VS 2005 and 2008, it does not support Khmer Unicode at all.  Basically, it does not render at all. Hope Crystal Report Development Team look into this problem and help us to develop report in Khmer Unicode.  We belive in your product.Regards,Khmer

    Don,
    the problem seem to be that Version XI Rel 2 is not only an Upgrade of Version XI (for what I just purchased a license) but a special Version.
    So I have the Trial Version XI Rel 2 and my Reg. Key does not comply with it.
    I Think SAP ony gives the user the right to use Version XI Rel 2 I you buy a full Version (even if you are Crystal reports Customer for 15 years).
    Very diffuse and time wasting the whole thing. I hope my old projects still using Crystal reports will soon run out of use.
    Cheers for your efforts
    Miko

  • Does Flex SDK 4 Suport Khmer Unicode?

    Hi,
    I have problem with khmer unicode (http://www.khmeros.info/drupal612/en/download).
    Input Controls of Flex SDK 3 could be able to display Khmer Text correctly if the values are assign by hard code or copy and past to the controls.
    But when we set focus to one input control and type from directly from keyboard, the controls are not able to display typed text value.
    could you please help me to fix this mistake?
    Boren.
    Thank!

    I think the question was "Which flex components will not work in right way if we compile project with Flex SDK 4.5 and then run it in Flash Player 10.0 enviroment?"
    For example - as I understand some new components in Flex SDK 4.5 use flash.globalization classes - so new spark formatters and ?validators? will not work in in Flash Player 10.0.
        * spark.formatter.NumberFormatter
        * spark.formatter.CurrencyFormatter
        * spark.formatter.DateTimeFormatter
        * spark.globalization.SortingCollator
        * spark.globalization.MatchingCollator
        * spark.globalization.StringTools
    Also we have to pay attension to 'string sorting'  functionality - because it could be dependent on flash.globalization also.
    Are there another 'danger' components in Flex SDK 4.5 ?

  • Khmer unicode / keyboard issue.

    I have a new mac book air running Lion. I am trying to use Khmer unicode and fonts, but for some reason, my 'f' key is showing up as a 'p' key (in Khmer). I downloaded new fonts to make sure it wasn't just an issue with the font. The keyboard layout suggests that the unicode may not be correct, as it verified that the 'f' key shares the same symbol as the 'p' key. How can I fix this?
    Thanks,
    Erin

    I would try a different layout from another source, such as

  • How to make Crytstal Report Viewer support with Khmer Unicode Font

    Dear all,
    I'm using Visual Studio 2010, and Crystal Report 13.
    I'm searching for 2 months about cannot render Khmer Unicode font on Crystal report, but I have no result.
    Please tell me the way to render Khmer Unicode font well.
    I'm looking for your reply soon.
    Thanks.
    Edited by: sochinda on Mar 25, 2011 10:47 AM

    Sochinda  forget about what K wrote. You can not use the crviewer.dll (also known as active X viewer) - of any version in any version of .NET.
    1) It is not supported - in any and all versions of CR
    2) With some versions of CR, you are breaking your license agreement; CR 9.2, 10.2, 10.5, CRVS2010 (13.0)
    Please do see the link Don provided. Also see my blog here:

  • When will iPad be compatible with Khmer Unicode?

    I found it very inconvenient that IPad or IPhone cannot be able to read Khmer Unicode.

    Since they have it in 10.7 it should not be too hard to add to iOS.  To make sure they know you want it, go to
