@SeniorSSS – these properties are not part of the Links objects, but are (partially, e.g. there is no "dimesions" property) properties of the images that are placed.
You can get access to the placed graphic from the Links object to its parent property:
var myLink = app.documents[0].links[0];
var myPlacedThing = myLink.parent;
In case your link (in my example the first link in the links list) is a JPEG or a TIFF file, the parent is of type "Image".
To get it always right one could go further and resolve the specifier for that parent.
myPlacedThing could be well a "Graphic", a "Movie", a "Sound" or a "Story".
Resolving the specifier and "make it open" to read-out or apply its properties, one could do the following:
var myPlacedThing = myLink.parent.getElements()[0];
In case of an Image (a subtype of "Graphic", you could then check its properties like actualPpi etc.
As I said: there is no "dimesions" property. For that case one has to calculate the dimensions of that image.

Presentation can't find linked audio - program crashes on "Replace"

A lengthy presentation was created in Keynote 2 with dozens of linked audio files. The computer was updated from 10.3.9 to 10.4.7 and Keynote 3 was installed and updated. Now, when the presentation is opened, it reports that it can't find each of the audio links; when the Replace button is clicked, Keynote crashes. This is a consistent crash. When the Cancel button is clicked instead, the presentation continues to load until the next audio file link is encountered. The audio files are stored in the iTunes Music Library and always worked prior to the upgrades.
The same presentation was then opened in Keynote 2 (updated), with the same result.
How can this be fixed? Do each of the links have to be recreated? Help!

Further to the original post:
The presentation was created on another computer and copied to the PowerBook along with the entire iTunes library which contains the linked audio files. As stated before, the presentation worked prior to the OS and Keynote upgrades.
I networked the two computers together, and the presentation opened without problems, which leads me to conclude that the links are hard links. However, other presentations using the same files open without difficulty when the computers are not connected together.
Further, the presentation and iTunes library (along with everything else) were migrated to a new 17" MacBook Pro and failed identically, while the other presentations using the same linked files worked fine, just as on the PowerBook.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, as it will take a LONG time to rebuild the audio links in the problematic presentation from scratch, and there's no guarantee that revisions to the presentation will work if it's moved to one of the other computers.

I have quite the same problem here. I firstly synced my iPad with my desktop, and everything seemed to be fine. Then I synced it with my laptop and two apps I purchased from my desktop disappeared from my iPad... All other apps that I purchased/downloaded directly from my iPad seem to work fine, but I would really like to know something more about the "logic" that iTunes uses for syncing...
Ah... almost forgor: yes, I read p. 28 on of UG, yes, I contacted iTunes support and they sent me here, and yes I read something (not that much, of course) here and there in the web...
Really would appreciate your help, because I wouldn't want to "loose" my apps each time I sync to my laptop... thanks!

I finally found it in the Content Portfolio.
I was including the "" in my search...like "Payer Direct". This way was just returning every one of the BPs.
But if I search on Payer Direct without the quotes around the term, then I get the result.
In my result, it does not say License Required. I get the download icon, and it says "The license for this package is included in the mySAP ERP (P) or the mySAP SRM (P) or the SAP Financial Supply Chain Management (P) or NW User (for R/3 Users)license."
But when I click on the download link, it does not work. I get a syntax error.

           Value string keys are for SAP internal usage. It is just a pointer to the transaction event key which is necessary for automatic account determination.
           Movement types are linked to transaction keys via valuation string in OMWN T-code.
           The R/3 System automatically determines the value string assigned to a specific transaction. It depends partly on entered parameters manually and partly on parameters derived internally by the system. The value string contains all posting transactions that are possible for a certain transaction. The program decides which of these posting transactions lead to G/L account postings in individual cases. You cannot define this in Customizing.
Value string WE01, for the goods receipt for a purchase order into stock, contains transactions BSX and WRX.
WE01: BSX, WRX, PRD, KDM, EIN, EKG, BSV, FRL, FRN, BSX, UMB.
WA14: BSX ,PRD, BSX, UMB
WA01: BSX, GBB, PRD, BSX, UMB
Value string RE05 contains transactions BSX and UMB.
In the standard system, value string WE01 is assigned to goods receipts (and also cancellations and return deliveries) for Standard and Subcontracting purchase order items without account assignment concerning valuated material into stock. In the case of (valuated) goods receipts for purchase order items not subject to account assignment,
post the items to a stock account using the transaction key BSX and make an offsetting entry to a GR/IR clearing account. A price difference posting (transaction key PRD) is only used if the valuated material is subject to standard price control and if the order price (or invoice price) is different from the standard price. Transaction key KDM is required in Inventory Management for purchase orders in foreign currencies because of differences in exchange rates between goods receipts and invoice receipts, unless the material can not be debited or credited because it is subject to standard price control.
The transaction keys EIN and EKG (and possibly FRE see account determination for delivery costs) are only used in company codes where purchase account management is active (as required in France and Belgium for example).
The transaction keys BSV, FRL, and FRN are only used for the Subcontracting item category.
Value string WA14 is defined for deliveries without charge (movement type 511).
The following scenarios are possible:
Delivery without charge for material subject to moving average price control → No accounting document
Delivery without charge for material subject to standard price control (and if the posting date is in the previous period standard price in the posting period = standard price in the current period) → Inventory posting (receipt at standard price) and offsetting entry to price differences account
Delivery without charge for material subject to standard price control, with posting date in the previous period and the standard price in the posting period is different to the standard price in the current period → Inventory posting (receipt at standard price) and offsetting entry to price differences account (posting in the previous period) → Stock correction posting and Revenue/expense from revaluation (posting in the current period)
In the standard system, value string WA01 is assigned to goods issues and other goods receipts. The R/3 System uses an additional influencing factor, account grouping, to differentiate further between the various movements during account determination.

Since the late 2009 iMacs came out, replacing the hard drive has caused the internal Hard Drive Fan to start running at around 6000RPM.
This is due to Apple replacing the external Hard Drive temperature sensor with a proprietary firmware and using the drives internal sensor.
Replacement drives do not contain the firmware to deliver temperature data on the temperature sensor cable.
When the iMac does not receive a good signal from the hard drive it puts the fan at full speed to protect the drive.
If you replace your drive, your iMac will initially seem fine, but soon the fan will begin to speed up to full speed. Resetting the SMC (System Management Controller) will have a temporary effect, but again the fan will speed up.
Fixes people have used in the past included:
Using smcFanControl and the terminal to set a MAX speed for the fan and writing scripts to start this after every sleep/restart.
Shorting the temperature sensor cable (Not a possibility on 2011 iMacs) this tricks the iMac into thinking the drives temperature is very low, hence slow fan speed.
Both these fixes are less then perfect and leave the drive in a dangerous situation with no protection from overheating.
Another option people try is other Fan Control software. These programs will not work for this particular issue as they often only control the base speed, and if they do control the fans actual speed they rely on the temperature reported by the sensor which is now incorrect.
HDD Fan Control
HDD Fan Control works to fix this issue by reading the drives internal temperature using the S.M.A.R.T protocol and set the fans actual speed to a value good to protect the drive.
It runs at startup and continually to always control the fan correctly, prevent the loud fan noise and protect the drive from overheating

The built-in apps on the iPad can only be updated via iOS updates, so if your iPad mini is on iOS 6.0.2 then its up-to-date
