Kid deleted photos off photo stream on phone, can I recover them?
My kid accidentally deleted photos off my photo stream on phone, thus all my devices, can they be recovered?
They should still be in the camera roll of the originating device. Have you looked there? Also, photos should always be synced to a computer for archiving (either by wired connection or photo stream) and then moved from the photo stream album and into a permanent album. If you've done that, then check that computer.

Any apps you've had installed on your iPad can be downloaded again.
Go to App Store on your iPad and select 'Updates' and then tap on Purchased. You can then view all purchases made on the iPad or purchases made on other devices by selecting the 'Not on this iPad' tab.

I updated my iOS, and when I was typing out a message to someone via imessage (as it forced it on) and I deleted the last one I sent (definitely not delete all, I didn't 'fat finger' it either) but for some reason it deleted the whole entire message trail, which had a couple of years of messages in it, some of which I wanted to keep - annoyed feeling commenced!!
I've since figured out how to totally turn off imessage as I hate how it looks/ feels, and have reverted to SMS messages, but have lost all of my old messages to that one person.
I've used a 3rd party bit of software and it found all the messages for me, but I have to pay for them to restore them and I'm not paying what they're trying to charge.
Given that iTunes has already sync'd since this nightmare, is there another free way to recover them and get them back on my phone though?
Thanks in advance for any help!!I know of no way to remove encryption on iTunes backups if you've forgotton the password. If you've used the 4 digit PIN code to lock your iPhone in the past that can sometimes default as your "password" for this encryption in iTunes. Try that PIN or any PIN you've used in the past. If you don't use a lock maybe you played around with that feature once when you first got your phone....try "1,2,3,4" or anything you could have possibly tried.
As far as accessing older unencrypted backups you can try this software. I do not have any experience using it but it seems like it's what you need and is probably the easiest route for both voicemail and texts:

I know with AT&T, voicemails are only stored on their servers for 30 days so any voicemail older than that you would not have been able to access again.

I just upgraded to the iPhone 6 and before I delete my old phone, I want to make sure all my photos were in icloud, but I can't find them anywhere. Why? I know it may take weeks to download my 14,000 pics, but I want to make sure they're there.
Extract the photos from the phone to your computer like you would with any other digital camera.
PhotoStream is NOT permanent storage and iCloud photos is in beta, meaning it's not fully cooked yet and you may lose data stored in it. -

Contacts are not saved in a backup to icloud, since they are stored independently in the Contacts section of icloud. If someone deletes them, they are gone. If you had them on the PC would they be available in some backup you frequently make of the PC?

Just updated our iPad2 to iOS 7, and all my photos in camera rolls are gone, can't locate them anywhere. Were they just deleted, or is there a way to find them? Did not have iCloud account, so not backed-up there.
We're you backing up to a computer using iTunes? If so, restore the backup from there.

All contacts, calendars, photos etc should be on your computer as the iphone is designed to be synced to your computer.
Just sync them to your new iphone.

How do I retrieve my photos from the cloud after a reset. My photos are gone from my phone, and I backed them up on iCloud? when I restored it, no camera roll pictures?
Try restoring the backup again. Sometimes it's successful the second time. You could also try restoring an older backup. iCloud will have your last 3 backups is you have sufficient storage space in your account.

If these were photos that were only in the Photostream folder of your Photos app, but not actually part of the Photostream itself, then the iCloud Photostream only holds the past 30 days of photos.
Use the iCloud Control Panel (if you're using Windows, download it here: iCloud for Windows - Apple Support), to see your actual iCloud Photostream.
Your device will hold the Photostream photos until they are removed, but you should never treat your device or the iCloud Photostream as permanent storage. You should be importing them to your computer on a regular basis for safe keeping. -

Probably -will your card mount to the desktop? If not you will need a card reader - select the photo(s) in iPhoto and export to a desktop folder - mount the card to the desktop and drag the photos to the corredct folder on it
