Killed your iPhone? - Fear not

I dropped my phone down the loo at the weekend and despite my efforts to get it working it died this morning. I phoned my local Apple store in Sheffield and they advised me it would be £139 for a refurbished phone.
So, off I pop to the Apple store this evening with 140 notes in my back pocket and a very big frown on my face. After waiting for 10 minutes a young lady asks me what the problem was. I replied by saying that my 1 year old boy had gotten hold of my phone and dropped it down the loo (he hadn't, but she doesn't know that!) and that I'd tried everything to get it working again. She reminded me that it costs £139 for a replacement but then dropped the bombshell... "but seeing as it's the first time, I'll let you off and class it as a 'one off exception'"... WOW. I could have kissed her. I've now got a shiny new(ish) 32gb 4 which is in better condition than the phone I handed in (even if it still worked).
The thing is, this wasn't a dodgy, behind the back deal as it states 'one off exception' on the receipt. I don't know any other company that would do that. It's like falling over and tearing a hole in your new jeans and taking them back to the shop for them to say 'oh don't worry, it was an accident, here's a new pair'!
Simply FANTASTIC, Apple.
Sorry if this is common knowledge but it wasn't to me and has made my day, nevermind save me £139. The more people that know about this and can hopefully exploit it the better.

I guess there's just something wrong with me, but you lied and everyone's congratulating you on a job well done. Yes, Apple was very nice to replace the phone for you, but don't you think the fact you told the nice lady at Apple your 1 year old did this, is why you got a free replacement? I hope these aren't the values you plan on raising your child with?
Sorry for raining on your less than honest, but certainly successful parade.....
