  • Killer network manager cant enter accurate number

    killer network manager on network tab asks to enter values for, in my case, dsl connection speed.
    my speed is 10mbits down and 0,5 up
    if i enter 0,5 for up and press apply then it rounds on 5 mbit
    i can also use arrow keys, to adjust to 0.5 but same thing happens. i can manually enter 1 mbit for upload but thats 2x my speed.
    killer network manager asks to enter accurate numbers for best result
    mb is gaming 3 h97
    my numbers are now 10,00 and 1,00
    if i enter 0.50 then it rounds it on 5,00

    Hi
    i have antivirus but its disabled when installing, as sugested by installer.
    i just uninstalled, so i dont have screenshots, but can attach them later.
    when entering numbers for upload and download speed in network manager, it is in format 10,00 for 10 mbits, 100,00 for 100mbits etc.
    i upgraded killer network software and now i have much bigger problem. if bandwith control is enabled, i cant connect to internet. i saw similar topics on msi forum allready.
    i downgraded killer software to 1.1.39.1040 and bandwith control is working normally.
    new 1.1.50 and 51 are not working.
    right now i have just drivers, with no software.
    so, there are two problems.
    1) 1.1.50 and later not working at all with bandwith control enabled
    2) cant enter 0.50 mbits in upload speed -- looks like software is accepting only 1, 2, 3 mbits values, and not 0.50, 1.50 -- which is weird because software is obviusly designed for that because you dont enter 10 mbits as 10, but as 10,00, so its logically to assume that 0.50 should work
    please tell me do you still need those screenshots, i will upload them later today...
    please, prepare drivers only (without killer software) for windows 10

  • Killer Network Manager literally 'killing' my network

    I've recently bought the Z97M Gaming motherboard and installed the network driver that came with it.
    Unfortunately the Killer Network Manager's "Bandwidth Control" setting seems to 'kill' my whole network. With that feature enabled you are unable to access the internet via ethernet or wireless regardless of device. It seemingly also stops access to the router via the default gateway IP however I haven't tried that from a device that isn't this computer. The only way to regain access is to reboot the router.
    After spending several hours trying to diagnose the issue I finally discovered that it was the "Bandwidth Control" setting that I mentioned above so I naturally just disabled that. Unfortunately I've now found out that, despite the fact I've applied the changes with the "Bandwidth Control" setting turned off, it seems to re-enable itself when I put my computer to sleep and then power it up again.
    I can't really go forward with continually rebooting the router in order to resolve the issue, I need a fix that I can perform locally. Ideally I'd like to be able to just install the network driver without installing the Killer Network Manager but it doesn't seem like MSI offer that option. The only other option that I can think of is to change something on my computer or on the router. The router is the Super Hub 2 / 2ac from Virgin Media.
    Thanks in advance and please let me know if you require any further information.

    do you use latest killer suite drivers 1.1.49.1068 ?
    Sorry probably should've included that in my original post.
    Yes I'm on 1.1.49.1068 on Windows 7 64bit.

    MSI website provide the Killer Network Driver without KNM
    check this out
    removed because I can't post links...
    I did look on MSI's site and, for some reason, that driver isn't listed on the UK site (can't post links but just append uk. before msi.com).
    I assume there's not going to be any locality issues with installing that driver and it's just an oversight that it isn't on the UK site?

  • Msi killer network e2200 problems

    Please help! I have a Msi apache laptop with the killer network manager. The network manager, when opened to the applications tab does not show any applications! I have reinstalled the driver and still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

    Hello Joebunke,
    I borrowed an GE60 2PE too and had a clean-installed Windows 8.1.
    Then I installed all Windows 8.1 drivers from MSI website (http://www.msi.com/support/nb/GE60-2PE-Apache-Pro.html#down-driver).
    My application page works normally when I opened up and there're already some processes shown in the window.
    Did you mean it's all empty?
    Did you try selecting "Show All Applications" or "Reset Application Data"?

  • Killer Network Manager Keeps Saying To Install Flash.

    I just put to together my rig and im slowly updating and running it through its paces, I have a MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming I have the latest drivers so far the only thing I haven't updated is the bios. Flash is installed but the MSI Killer Network Manager keeps saying that I need to install flash when I try to test the networks speed. Anyone else had this issue in the past?

    Quote from: Maja199 on 11-April-14, 02:33:05
    If you install the flash player through the internet explorer it should work.
    That's right.
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
    There are 2 Flash player installation packages:
    1) for Internet Explorer (and Google Chrome)
    2) for other browsers (Firefox, Opera, etc).
    This amazing piece of software called "Killer Network Manager" needs the IE flash plugin.
    Otherwise its outstanding interface does not work.

  • Gnome-network-manager problems

    Hello all,
    I'm trying to use gnome-network-manager to connect to my wifi as it is WEP enabled and I don't know how to get it working in 'network'.
    I followed this tutorial: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NetworkManager
    However, when I reboot under those settings, I can't connect to anything, including ethernet.
    Is there a problem in the wiki or is there a workaround that hasn't been posted there yet? I'm utterly confused as to why it will not work.
    Also, if you need me to paste any code from any file, can you also tell me an easy way to copy/paste between aterm and Opera as I haven't found a way to do that yet.
    Thank you very much for any help.

  • Blue Screen caused by Killer Network Manager on MSI GS70 Stealth 970m 6GB

    The GS70 always gets the blue screen when booting up then it restarts. After the restart it does not blue screen anymore. I've almost found my answer from these people https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=178064.0 yet I cannot install another Wifi adapter since there is none available for my laptop unless it's the stock Killer wireless- n/a/ac 1525 Wireless network adapter. I can confirm that the Blue screens are caused by the Killer Wireless because when I uninstalled it. There were no more blue screens. I just want help since I am tired of my laptop blue screening everytime I boot it up. Please help me and thank you so much.

    Hi,
    I guess your OS is not MSI OEM Windows?
    What's your current LAN driver version?
    MSI mainboard download page has a newer Killer driver, give it a try.

  • Network(Manager) problems after messing with netctl

    Hello, and thanks for taking time helping me!
    The story so far:
    I was trying to bridge my wired and wireless network on my laptop, using netctl: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bridge_with_netctl
    It dind't worked and it messed my network up (I could see the wifi-indicator in the topright of my screen frozen in its "connecting" state), but I could still use wifi.
    So I removed netctl and deleted its files from /etc/netctl and disabled/stopped the zombie-bridge. And then I could not connect wireless anymore (wired still works altough still frozen in the "connecting" state according to Gnome).

    My guess is that somewhere my bridge messed everything up. But as I've leared with arch the awser could be very simple.
    Thanks Again,
    Pascal

    I think I know what the problem is. I saw that a deamon called dhcpcd@wlp3S0 was running at the same time NetworkManager was. This would mean that both Networkmanager and netctl where running at the same time. I've disabled "dhcpcd@wlp3s0" and........ nothing.
    Does anyone knows witch daemons i should disable/enable to let the system run on networkmanager alone?

  • Application BUG in Killer Network Manager

    I am using the MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming with the integrated Killer NIC E2200. The problem is, the last few versions of the Killer Suite were rather useless for me, cuz I can't use the bandwidth control anymore. Since Qualcomm broke up with Ookla I have to adjust the upload and download speed manually, but I can't do it anymore.
    If I try to adjust upload speed to 0.37 Mbs and download speed to 2.97 Mbs and try to apply the changes, the bugged software changes the values to 37,00 Mbs (up) and 297,00 Mbs (down).
    Did anyone else notice such a behavior?
    By the way: Before I have posted in this forum, I'd checked the Qualcomm website. My plan was to submit a ticket but the whole killer technology section is gone!!! oO

    @Svet: I would love to, but....http://www.qca.qualcomm.com/products/killer-technology/support/

  • Network Manager: Problem using Mobile Broadband

    Hello,
    I'm trying to use NetworkManager to configure an Internet connection using a 3G modem USB dongle.
    I have a Huawei E160 on O2.
    Steps taken so far:
    * Installed NetworkManager using the ArchWiki article:
    http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NetworkManager
    * nm-applet would not start, and the error on the virtual terminal matched that in the troubleshooting section of that article. I backed up and changed those 2 files. I don't know much about PolicyKit but nm-applet started and was able to connect to a WiFi network.
    * I tried connecting to O2: the device was detected but on attempting to connect, the nm-applet connecting icon froze or stuttered (as in the animation was about 0.2fps).
    * Errors on the tty indicated that nm was looking for files that did not exist. After searching I found a package 'mobile-broadband-provider-info' on LaunchPad which is included in Ubuntu. I found it in the AUR and installed it.
    * Tried again, same behaviour of the icon, but this time errors on the tty resembled the errors that occured when nm-applet would not start.
    I'm guessing the problem is with the PolicyKit configuration in the 2 files:
    /etc/dbus-1/system.d/NetworkManager.conf
    /etc/dbus-1/system.d/nm-applet.conf
    If we can put together a general solution to 3G modems (rather than my specific problem), I will be willing to help out with the relevant wiki articles (probably after my exams).
    Thank you very much for your help,
    James Haigh.

    Hooray! It's working!
    I booted into Arch to run nm-applet from the terminal emulator to collect the exact error message to post, but then I noticed the mast icon!
    I couldn't figure out why this now worked but I wondered if Ubuntu had sort of initialised the modem somehow (when I started this thread using the LiveCD, that was the first time I'd got it to work).
    I don't think it was the restart because I'm pretty sure I restarted after installing mobile-broadband-provider-info.
    So I started to read the new replies. I thought I'd set pacman to download (and install) arch-wiki-docs while I write a reply. My USB wireless mouse stuttered and stopped working. I tried replugging it, syncing it, wouldn't work. The download which was going at about 20KB/s (I thought this was due to bad reception; my O2 phone gets 1 or 2 notches here at college), stuttered and spewed out errors.
    My tablet PC annoyingly has only 2 USB ports and no CD drive. So to use a LiveCD, keyboard and dongle I had to use a hub. I left the hub in when I booted Arch, and unplugging it fixed my mouse and dongle. The download went about 100KB/s!
    But I wasn't using the hub before I used the LiveCD. I was just using the keyboard and dongle, and a great Firefox add-on called LoL, which makes browsing with no mouse easier.
    (If interested, this list including LoL is useful:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo … n/keyboard )
    So the initial problem is at least 1 of these:
    * Bad reception
    * Ubuntu initialised the modem but my installation/configuration of Arch could not
    * I forgot to restart if/when it mattered
    And the 2nd problem was the hub.
    These weren't problems:
    * ConsoleKit configuration
    * Settings
    I tried to understand those 2 files using GVim's diff with the backups and I couldn't see anything to try, so I left them unchanged.
    My settings are in the manual for the dongle. They're not in mobile-broadband-provider-info so I will file a bug to make it easier for Ubuntu users etc. Looking at /usr/share/mobile-broadband-provider-info/serviceproviders.xml I made this:
    <apn value="m-bb.o2.co.uk">
    <name>Pay & Go</name>
    <username>o2bb</username>
    <password>password</password>
    </apn>
    The manual also says that:
    * Tel no: *99# (which appears to be default and is never specified in serviceproviders.xml)
    * Authentication: PAP (Also not specified, the default of try all methods works for me)
    I could add a mobile broadband subsection to the troubleshooting section of the wiki article:
    * Check signal
    * Check USB
    And add relevant links on articles like 'USB_3G_Modem' etc.

    I like pacman and I like the way upgrading my system is my responsibility but that shouldn't have happened without a message. I'll be aware of things like this now, thanks.

    To install packages from the AUR, I suppose I'd have to:
    * look at the PKGBUILD and figure out what files I need
    * download the files onto my hard drive and save relevant wiki articles
    * restart and boot into Arch
    * modify the PKGBUILD
    * build and install.

    Yeah that sounds about right (except you don't need to modify the PKGBUILD, just place the downloaded files in the same folder as the PKGBUILD and run makepkg).

    Once you've got your internet running you can install 'community/arch-wiki-docs' for offline wiki access.
    Thank you so much! This could be a life saver! I've installed it.

    I will explore this alternative sometime. For something as important as this, a backup plan is useful. I've been using netcfg for WiFi for quite some time before I installed nm. It'd be great to use netcfg (and the nice menu) with wvdial.
