Killzone Shadow Fall Release Date of October 21 2013?

I preordered the PS4 bundle with KSF and PS+ and I just got an email from Best Buy with the following message in regards to Kill Zone Shadow Fall:
There has been a change to the release date of the pre-ordered item listed below. The new release date is 10/21/2013.
Excited to know that I'm getting it early but it really just means I have to pay them 3 weeks ahead of time for a disc that I can't do anything with.
Anyone else receive an email like this?

I can certainly understand your concerns upon seeing that the release date for Killzone: Shadow Fall appeared to have switched to October, especially since this title is supposed to be a PlayStation 4 launch day title on 11/15/13.
I reached out to another team to get a better idea of what is going on and I’ve been told that the Oct. 21 date some of you have been informed of is incorrect. This game will be a launch day title and will be released on 11/15/13. We are currently working on having this updated on BestBuy.com along with ensuring that orders reflect the correct date.
It looks like pdubblas has already received notification for the correct date. I was also able to locate the orders for both cptrack08 and Trevordestroyer by using the emails attached to your forum accounts and the correct date is also appearing.

It will hopefully be released this week. An online store says they are due for delivery Oct 15, therefore Apple should be releasing them at least a week before that.

Killzone Shadow Fall Can't Download Add-Ons

I've deleted the entire game and still can't fix this problem. I install KZ SF on my PS4, go down to add-ons for the game, start downloading all of the map packs one by one, and at some point, they just won't download anymore. They don't say installed. I click on the download arrow and nothing happens. This is very, very frustrating. If it matters, I have the season pass. Anyone else?

Could it be you are using a game en PS Store that are different regions? To give an example, if you are using a EU disc and have an US PS Store account you can't use the DLC.
If that is not the case could you try restoring your licenses?
Go to settings > PSN > Restore licenses.

I purchased an iPad mini on October 10th. I want to return it and get the new ipad mini retina when it comes out. How do I do that if the new ipad mini release date isn't until "later in November", which is beyond the 14 days from my purchase date?

I am currently still within the 14 day return/exchange window but how can I exchange it if the new ipad mini release date isn't until "later in November", which would be beyond the 14 days from my purchase date? If apple announces a new version of a product you just purchased but won't actually release it for more than 14 days, how can you possibly exchange the one you just bought? Is my only option to return the one I bought on the 10th (so return by 10/24) and then not have an iPad until the new one is available for purchase? Or would it make any sense to return the one I bought, get a new one, which would presumably have another 14 day return window, and then exchange THAT one for the new ipad mini w/ retina when it comes out (hopefully within that second 14 day window)?

Call the apple store you got it from and ask them. Sometimes in the past they've extended the 'no questions asked return' but only Apple can tell you for sure.

Release date for 10.1.3 now Fall 2005?

The Eclipse EJB 3.0 Tools FAQ from 12 April includes...
Q: When will you have EJB 3.0 capability available in Oracle products?
A: The Oracle Application Server EJB 3.0 preview is available now for free at oracle.com/technology/ejb3. Oracle Application Server 10.1.3 and Oracle JDeveloper 10.1.3 will ship with EJB 3.0 functionality in the fall of 2005.
Could someone from Oracle clarify whether this means that 10.1.3 will not now appear (with or without EJB 3.0 support) before Fall/Autumn 2005? I seem to remember that a few months ago, the release was planned for April 2005, so at this rate it may never appear.
If anyone could provide a more specific release date it would be appreciated, since Fall 2005 could mean waiting until mid-December.
I can't find a release date for 10.1.3 on the JDeveloper pages on OTN - perhaps this could be addressed to avoid this question continually appearing on this forum?

Thanks for the information. I appreciate your commitment to getting the product right before releasing it. You'll be aware, I'm sure, that there are a lot of people looking to use 10.1.3, so to allow us all to plan our work effectively it would be appreciated if any further changes to the release date could be communicated to us, ideally via this forum and/or the JDeveloper pages on OTN.

Hi guys I heard online that the release date of iOS 7 in my iPad 4th is this October instead of this September? is that true guys? i want to make sure.. I just kinda upset bcoz i thought the iOS 7 for my ipad 4th will be releasing this September.. i hope it will release this september or i will be so disappointed.. Apple only stated that iOS 7 would be released this fall, which is Sept to Dec. So I don't why you are getting upset they still have three months left to release it.

Release dates changed?

For reasons I don't understand, all the Release Dates for all our tracks on our iTunes U site recently changed to 5/29/07.
We've been uploading tracks at various dates since October 2006, so this is not at all what we want for many reasons -- not least of which is that folks who've subscribed to our various channels are finding tracks being re-downloaded to their computers since it appears that they're 'new'.
Any idea what went wrong? Any way to restore the actual release dates to what they were in early May?

Just to clarify -- the problem is still happening, i.e., the release dates are still changing.
Is any other iTunes U site seeing this problem, or is it only Wellesley?
I'm hopeful that there's a way to both restore the original release dates as well as prevent the release dates changing in the future.

Release Date Redux

Apple must be changing the rules every day as far as listings and updates. That's OK, but I'd just like to know the "rules" when they do change.
For example, I just had a new app released yesterday that I submitted Sept 30th. In the listing (by release date), my app is several rows down in the list and the apps above are all updates and new versions of "old" apps and the release date is Sept 30. There is one app that is new with a release date of 10/6/08. So, I thought my app would be listed at the very top because I thought Apple changed the policies on updates.
I suspect that I did this to myself when I submitted the app and chose the release date of 9/30/08 (when I submitted it). This seems to be the date they use rather than the actual date they release it on the store. If I have to game the system, from now on I will change the release date to a week ahead of my submission, so my new apps don't get shoved down the list on their very first day.
I think NEW apps should always be placed at the top of the list, above updates, and the "release" date should be based on when the app is actually released to the App Store. And updates, should fall back to their original release dates after a day or two.

This problem is not insurmountable either. A developer could, for example, upload the new app as a "major upgrade", and Apple could then reject it as major with the option to accept it immediately as a minor uprgade if the developer agreed. If the developer didn't claim it wasn't major than nothing would change. If the developer disagreed with apple, they could resubmit as a new app, perhaps with expedited processing based on the prior acceptance of the app itself and the rejection based only on the categorization of the changes. Of course if Apple felt that the changes were to minor to get a bumped position in the listings, it is not clear that they would accept it as a new app anyway, even under the current dysfunctional system. Then again the profusion of stupid "Days To X" apps (offense to developer intended) shows that they are not particularly consistent in their control of utility or redundancy, so imputing rational motives connected to their decisions is a bit of wishful thinking.
Nonetheless, their present model is deeply flawed, and it is only a matter of time before they recognize this and change it somehow. I don't browse the first page of categories daily anymore, and i'm sure other iPhone fanboys are also losing interest, Apple will notice this in traffic and sales stats, and hopefully connect the dots...

The itouches and ipads are having a software update this fall for free OS 5, does anyone know the exact release date? Is September 30 a possible date?

V7.0 SP6 Release Date ???

Is v7.0 SP6 still due for release next Friday (16th October), and if so will it be available for download immediately ???
I need to know as I have an upgrade test from v5.1 to v7.0 scheduled for w/c 19/10 and it would make much more sense to test on the latest version of BPC, rather than using the current version and having to retest once SP6 is released.

I have not been notified of the next release date, but if it is psted in the SAP notes somewhere, then I suggest it is the next trgeted delivery date. But this may only be confirmed from EPM Product Managment team.

Nobody knows (except for apple of course). All it says on the ipod touch page that it ships in October so it could be any date. I predict that it is in the first two weeks of October but when it says buy it now instead of pre-order you know its about to come out.

My app on the app store is not on category lists sorted by "release date"

yesterday, i got an email from apple that my first app is now on the app store! when i submitted the iphone app (popr), i marked it as an arcade and action game, as well as falling under the category of "entertainment." my belief is that these chosen categories is where my app will be displayed in itunes (for example, since my game is marked under "entertainment," i believe that the app should be viewable by launching the app store, clicking "entertainment" as a category, and hitting the "release date" tab at the top).
i am wondering if my belief is correct - does anyone know whether my app will get on this "recently added" list within the next few days (or at all)?

You seem to be under the impression that there is importance to being on the list above #25. While there can be benefit for a very short time, this is such a small factor in the overall success of your app that you should not put any planning or hope into it.
Your app is now down on that list and will never go higher. I'll repeat...it will only go lower, each time another new app is released. Forget about it.
You now need to market your app. Get it talked about on game forums, issue a press release via prMac and hope for good reviews.

ITunes 11? Did I miss the release date?

At the September iPhone/iPod event Apple said it would be released in October. At today's Apple event, there was a resounding silence about iTunes 11; no update on when it would be released, or did I miss it?

No... you didn't miss the release date. Apple did.
They're quickly running out of "October" (although, they never did say what year, did they?) and they also made no mention of it at the iPad Mini event, which tells me that it isn't ready and they're not sure when it will be.
