Kind of confused re: apple id, google and gmail id and passwords
I have an ipad which I don't use much as I usually don't remember ID and or passwords. I have changed them many time. I also use Gmail
Can I set all ID and Passwords to be similar perhaps with a Apple, Gmail or Google...... notation at the end of ID and Password

You should be able to use similar IDs and passwords. Google and Gmail use the same gmail address to login, so that shouldn't be a problem. So it all depends on what web address you use and how similar it is to your Apple ID.

CAn I change the apple I'd and password on one of my two iPads and will they both operate separately. Right now when my husband adds a game it also is added to the other one and when I add recipes in pages, they go into the other I pad too. When I purchased the new iPad I was told I had to have the same apple Id as the first one, I would like them to be separate, is this possible?
You need to create a new Apple ID to use with the other iPad, then sign out in Settings>iCloud and sign in with the new ID. Of course any data such as contacts and calendars which have been synced from the first iPad will be removed from the second one when you do this.

Hi. I tried to change my old icloud account on a new one. After reset the settings I need to enter my old Apple ID account and password, that I don't remember.
I do not remember it because when I bought the my iPhone 4s in 2011 I didn't understand how it works and asked a representative to set it up for me. The representative helped me and gave a piece of paper with login and password but I lost it a long time ago.
Before resetting the settings I turned off "Find my iPhone" function, but it anyway asks me to enter my old Apple ID and password. I have the original box, documents, receipt. So how can I solve this problem?You do not have to call US, but you need to call. Or else.

My wife and I have different Apple ID's and passwords but I want to share our music library which is on iCloud under my Apple ID. How do I set her up to share the music library that resides on the iCloud under my Apple ID?
You would need to go to Settings>iTunes & App Store, tap her ID, sign out, then sign back in with your ID. However, if she has turned on automatic downloads, download previous purchases or signed into an iTunes Match account using her current ID, she would have to wait 90 days from when she first did this to change to another ID. She can, of course, sync your music to her device using iTunes without changing her ID association.

I cannot activate my iCloud backup of my 4S iPhone, even though I have definitely deactivated Airplane mode, and am connected to Wi-Fi. I also have a correct Apple/iCloud ID and password.
Should I delete my iCloud account and set up a new one??

To troubleshoot your problem with backing up to iCloud, this may be caused by a corrupt existing backup that needs to be deleted, or by data on your iPad that is preventing the backup from succeeding. To troubleshoot these, try deleting your last iCloud backup (if you have one) by turning off iCloud Backup in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage, swipe across your backup and tap Delete, then go back and turn iCloud Backup back on and try backing up again.
If it still won't back up, you may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding. To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again. If it succeeds, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is preventing the backup and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again. If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again. If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails. Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup. -
I have just upgraded my iPad to iOS 7 and now FaceTime and iMessage will not allow me to sign in. I enter my appl I'd and password but after a few minutes I get a message to say cannot activate try network connection then try again no matter how many times you do this it will not sign in. Any thoughts ?
Thanks neiltry resetting your phone by turning it off and back on again. The servers may still be having a hard time keeping up, so you may just need to wait a little while and try again.

I had an old account for my apple I.D and the email that i had expired, so I switched my apple I.D as my recent gmail, but it still asks me for my old apple I.D and password, what do I do?
Go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Due to problems with my original email I changed my apple id email and password months ago. Suddenly it is reverting to my old email. How do I get it to totally forget the original? I have iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro.

Do you mean you kept the same account but you only updated your AppleID?
Just log out and log back in with new ID.
Note that the AppleID is embedded into the item at purchase and cannot be changed.
However, when you change your AppleID, it will link the old account name to the new account name so you will not have any problems updating apps using the new AppleID. -

I recently changed my e-mail account. I had to reset my apple I.D. and password. All was fine, now when I attempt to login to install updates it shows my old I.D. I don't understand this because when I go into settings it shows my apple I.D. as my new one
I think what is happening is that you changed the email address for password recovery to the new one - the Appleid (and software "attached" to it) remain irrevokably linked to the id you purchased it with.

Yep, as Michael mentioned, iTunes is accessing the internet matching the total bytes of the CD to the data base. Happens to me when I burn a disk in Roxio Toast 7, then mount it to listen to the recording in iTunes. Some of the strangest names appear.
At first I couldn't imagine where these exotic names were coming from until I realized the app. was accessing the Gracenote CDDB (CD database). Unfortunately, you cannot deselect this process within iTunes. As Michael suggested disconnect your machine from the Internet before inserting the CD. -
