Kindle app for Q10

Does anyone know what's up with the Kindle app for Q10? Is there any plan for the existing BB10 app to be made available for the Q10?

There is a version of Kindle over at Good eReader for BlackBerry that you can sideload. If you're not familiar with sideloading it just means to install via USB cable. I use a PC app called DDPB for sideloading but Good eReader has an app for it too.

  • Cannot download Kindle app for my iMacbook Pro from the Apple app store.  When I upgraded to 10.10.2 it told me my current app would no longer work.  How do I get Kindle back for my laptop?

Just upgraded to iOS 10.10.2 on my MacBook Pro (late 2011) and was informed my Kindle app was no longer compatible and would be removed somewhere.  When I tried to install a new Kindle app from the Apple App store it appeared to download, but when I tried to open it nothing happened and it does not appear anywhere in my App list.  I see there have been problems like this in the past but nobody has reported having a problem for several months.  Any cure for this?

iOS is the operating system for iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad. Your Mac runs on OS X. You have installed OS X 10.10.2 Yosemite.
I have the most recent version of the Kindle app for Mac from the Mac App Store (MAS) v. 1.10.6 and it works fine. Look again in the MAS for the Kindle app, does it say Get or Open on the button?
Are you confusing Kindle for Mac with Kindle for iOS. The iOS version won't run on your Mac.

  • In Case you hadn't heard --- KINDLE APP FOR ANDROID NOW IN MARKET

That's right.  If you haven't already heard seen or downloaded it, the official Kindle App for Android is now available.  I have it now and I synced it already and woah.  cool.  Just glad to have it.  With this I can activate on my wife's account and we can share her books and she has my Kobo account on her blackberry.  So we now only have to buy books once.  I am sooooo  Happy.  Now for Barnes and Noble and all my bases are covered.
So far I am loving Aldiko for free books they seem to have a broader selection of public domain material than anyone else at least in a useable format.
I love Kobo because it is a fairly well rounded market and soon to expand from what I understand with the agreements with Borders in place.  I tend to like open source and platforms that don't lock me in to using one company's device to use all my media.  I prefered to use my phones as MP3 Players instead of getting an iPod and I prefer ePub to kindle format because it is available on more devices, even if it apparently means that for some of the less popular technical material I like to read sometimes I have to wait a little longer or specially request it.  Just about anything else is available.
Kindle App, because my wife has a Kindle and has bought several books that I want to read but feel **bleep** buying again since she already bought it.  I don't like removing DRM's so until Kindle switches to ePub or one of the ePub readers supports Kindle as well what is it azw format.  I forget.  Then this app is a necessity.  Anyway, just thought I would announce it since I don't see a thread for it yet.

No problem.  I figured this would get more fanfare than this.  I have been waiting for the barnes and noble app as well.  I can't understand what is taking so long since the Nook runs Android and it is essentially an app that is on it that allows you to read why not just release it on the market.  It would make a lot of people happy.  I love Kobo myself but B&N has some stuff you can't get on Kobo.
Lots of good reading apps now on Android B&N is the only biggy still waiting I think.

  • I want to buy a 2nd iPad for my wife. we both have kindles and I have the kindle app for my iPad.  are there any issues or concerns in adding a 2nd iPad to the iTunes account

I want to buy a 2nd iPad for my wife.  we both have kindles and i have the kindle app for my iPad. are there any issues or concerns in adding a 2nd iPad with kindle app?

You can sync as many iDevices as you own to a single iTunes library if you want to do so. If you manage the content manually, you can pick and choose the apps, music, videos and so on that you want on each device. One iTunes account means using the same Apple ID to purchase and update all of your apps. You can share apps on both devices because once you buy an app, you can download it to all of your iDevices - as many times as you want - using the same Apple ID and iTunes account. If you decide to do this, you have to sync to the same computer each time in order to keep all of your shared apps in the one iTunes library.
The Kindle App content is not synced to the iTunes library. It is controlled by your Kindle account. I believe that you can go into your Kindle account and transfer your purchase to your other devices - iPad, computer, etc. You can both have the Kindle app on your iPads and share the content as far as I know, so I see no conflict there. However, while I do have the Kindle app and an account, I do not use it very often.
If you want to share the one iTunes account, there should be no problems with a second iPad. I sync my iPad, my iPod Touch and my wife's iPod Touch to my MacBook using the same iTunes library and we have different content on all three devices. My daughter uses my iTunes account for her iPod Touch and syncs to her own MacBook and her own iTunes library.
Four devices using one iTunes account syncing to two different iTunes libraries.

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

  • I have ordered a book from Amazon.co.uk for my Kindle app for the iPad, but it is not showing up in the app. Help!?

All is explained in the question.

Is the Kindle app on your iPad linked to the same Amazon account that you used to buy the book, and does it not show in the Cloud section of the app for downloading ?

  • Kindle app for UK

Many of us purchased a touchpad to be able to use the kindle book reader widely advertised before launch. Why are being denied the opportunity to use it. As an owner of HP computers, printer and a kindle (glued to my wife's hands) I and many like me feel cheated, let down and dissapointed by both HPs and Amazon's attitude to loyal customers. It's enough to make buy an ipad!!
Post relates to: HP TouchPad (WiFi)

There is supposed to be a localized app available for UK users. We have no timeframe for the release of this app.

  • Apps for Q10

I feel so frustrated right now. I have tried to download 3 apps that are available for many other Blackberry devices, including the Z10, but they aren't available for the Q10. What was the point in spending the extra $$ to get brand new technology if commonly used apps are not available?
How does one find out when a specific app will be available for the Q10 - and where can I go to complain about this a little more loudly.
Right now I can't access my work intranet because Citrix isn't supported, I can't work on my benefit claims with Sun Life and, worst of all, I can't play Timeplay when I go to the movies!

Yes, I have already complained to all before I posted here. It's interesting the variety of responses I've gotten:
    Citrix - hasn't responded
SunLife - told me to send my account number and employer because they can't respond to questions about my claim without it (hello? I asked about when the app was coming, nothing about my account or coverage?)
Cineplex Scene sent me 50 scene points to thank me for my patience.
Guess which one I've most impressed with

  • Receipt/expense tracker app for Q10

could someone please tell me what app I can download to my Q10 that takes photos of the receipt and automatically converts to expense report.  Everytime I seem to find one that suits like 'receipts pro', I get the message "an error occured processing your request".  I have google and read forums without sucess.  I hope you can help.

  • SayIt App for Q10

Hello!  I was curious if anyone has had the SayIt App on their Q10 or any other model.  If so, would you reccomend?

Have you tried the built-in app "Voice Control"? Works for me to send texts, mails, make calls etc.
The device also comes with a built-in weather app (Accu Weather) which is quite good.

  • I purchased books from Amazon to my Kindle app on the iPad.  Can't seem to sync books to home computer.  Thanks for the help!

I purchased books from Amazon to my Kindle app on the iPad.  I can't sync the purchases to my home computer.  They show up on the iPad home screen but not on the "archived items."  Any thoughts?

Kindle books are stored on Amazon's servers.  If you're looking for backup, they're already backed up there.  If you want to read the books on your computer, you need the Kindle app for your computer, and can then download the books from your Kindle archive.  If your computer is a Mac, you can download the free Kindle app for Mac via the App Store.

  • What's the best app for a reader type program on the mac air

looking to use my mac air to read ebooks - any suggestions to the best type application for that
    Thanks

That would depend on the source of the ebooks you're trying to read. If the ebooks have any kind of DRM, you would need to use the appropriate app (e.g. the Kindle app for ebooks purchased from Amazon). I actually like the Kindle app generally.

  • Help: Kindle app won't show up in ipad app store

    Hello,
I've been meaning to get the kindle app for my ipad 2 to make reading some files easier. The only problem is that the app never shows up in the search results of the app store on my ipad. I even attempted to search all apps made by AMZN Mobile LLC (who made the Kindle app) in vain. What's curious is that the app shows up easy when I look for it on my Macbook whether in the app store or by just googling it, which should basically mean that it is available in my country. So what am I doing wrong ?

I'm situated in the middle east for the time being. But as I said above, it appears just fine when I search for it on my macbook. Or does that not count for anything ?
