Kindle fire hd, i can hear and see fine but they c...

Can anybody help? I've just bought kindle fire hd which I had to load Skype on. I can see and hear people I call very well, but they are having a 10 second delay and I'm pixel lated, there's also a lot of roaring background noise. Very frustrating as I bought the kindle so I could Skype, my old computer has been put out to grass...any ideas?

Lets test something here:
- new project; 1 audio track
- save project as file to a location of choice
- choose your input source (i.e. Lambda)
- set channel strip input format to mono
- engage the recording button situated on the track
- trigger the mic acoustically, observe signal presence
- hit record on the transport, say the words: It does work!
- stop the recording and play back.

Unfortunately, the drive is pretty much restricted without hacking it. That is, you can't stream its content via standardized protocols like UPnP, SMB, FTP and the like. This makes you won't be able to access its content from any third-party apps otherwise capable of playing back AVI files from UPnP / SMB / FTP / WebDAV etc. sources.
While this is certainly not a recommendation (I can in no way be held responsible if anything goes wrong): you may want to consider extending the capabilities of the drive by installing the hack: http://www.hackseagatesatellite.com/wordpress/welcome/
It'll "open" the drive for third-party, AVI-capable multimedia apps like GoodPlayer, It's Playing etc. to directly play the files over the network.

Try to isolate the issue. Use earphone and if the issue still happens then it might be the phone issue.
- If earphone works fine then it may be the mic on the iPhone. Try cleaning the debris on the iPhone. Finally a restore of the device and try to set it as a new device. Tha will isolate if it is a software or hardware issue.
- You can take the phone to Apple store once you have tried all this.

Fix common issues
Follow these steps, testing after each with Voice Memos.
Unplug anything plugged into the headset jack.
If you're on a call and holding your phone next to your ear, speak into the microphone and make sure you don't block it with your fingers or shoulder.
If you're using a screen protector or case that covers the microphone, remove it. Clear any debris from the microphones.
Restart your device.
Update to the latest version of iOS.
If you've tried these steps and people still can't hear you well on calls, contact Apple Support.

I updated my iPad 4 with the new iOS7 and since then Skype started problem and now email i.e, yahoo as well. I can hear people on Skype but they can't hear me though it was working fine with old version. Is any one else having same problem?

I recently purchased iPad 4 and it is only one month old. I updated with iOS 7 and next day got problem with Skype and yahoo mails. People can't hear me on Skype though I can hear them clearly. I was replying yahoo mails quite nicely and now as I start typing the iPad turns black and have to open it again. Is there any one else facing the same problem? I was thinking to go to apple shop for support? Any suggestions?

I just noticed that one of the restore methods you posted was to put it into Disk Mode First rather than just use the resstore straight off, I Have tried that and seems to have solved the problem, If it has thank you. previously I have only tried just restoring it skipping this extra step. Hope my iPod stays healthy, if it doesnt its a warrenty job me thinks any way thanks again

you need to isolate wetyher or not its a hardware issue.
make a voice memo. (if there is sound then, your bottom mic is fine.)
Make a video (if there is sound then your speaker mic is fine.)
if those dont work restore to factory settings and setu p as new, if the issue persists, setup replacement
if you have sound, try resetting your network settings. (settings general>reset>reset network setting THIS WILL DELETE ANY SAVED WIFI PASSWORDS.)

Hello, I got a new computer at christmas 2014 and before i got it skype worked perfectly with my other pc, Now whenever i call someone or they call me, I can hear them but they CANNOT hear me. I have tried basically everything i can like checking audio settings,etc. I have razer krakens and my New computer (it's an Asus) only has 1 plug on the back for it. My tower has a green and red plug but whenever i put the plugs in it doesnt work either. there is no speakers on my Tower and i can't hear my friends regardless. I went to skype audio one more time and My Razer kraken microphone is Not there It only comes up with this Microphone here: Stereo mix (realtek high definition audio) I'm thinking maybe that's the problem Idk But can you guys help me it's really frusterating. I havn't called with my friends for a while now. Thanks! I also went through my pc and it said i don't have a sound card. IDK my specs or anything as i got it for Xmas Is that the problem? Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool. Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. After last OS update, my iPhone 4 is dropping more calls or I can hear the other person but they can't hear me

My signal (ATT) on my iPhone 4 seems to have gotten worse since the last OS update. In addition, frequently during a conversation, we can initially hear one another then they stop hearing me speak although I can hear them perfectly clear. Is this happening to anyone else? Is there anything I can do to correct. The problem seems to be getting considerably worse.

Looking for help on how to get a better signal when receiving and placing calls. Phone got a little wet and is having hard time placing calls and receiving call. Calls are breaking up most of the time but some times I have 4 bars and phone calls goes through just fine. Noticed phone is having troubling connecting to towers. Get a call but caller can not hear me when I have only one bar showing on phone. Phone does hit 4 bars sometime and phone call is clear. Any suggestion., new phone still learning how to use. Should I try to reset to factory settings??? Have read lot of negative comments on the web about doing this. Trying all options before going to the Apple store.

I ended up getting a new phone, straight through Apple. I called their technical support and went through all he basics again and they decided to replace it. Was a pretty quick process - after defaulting and resetting the whole phone (about 2 hours), I called them back to inform that there was no change, so they set up the order.
I had to give my CC# so they could hold a charge on it (in case I didn't send my old phone bach, which they sent me a pre-posted package to send it in anyway). Had a brand new iPhone 4S in my hands in 4 days, which was pretty decent. I had uploaded everything previously to iCloud, so setting up the new phone was a snap.
Only thing I really didn't like was they charged me almost 30 bucks for shipping or processing, or something. Not so sure that should have been my responsibility after spending so much on a brand new product, only to have to have it warrantied after, like, a month.

All but one PC on my network can share and see folders, WRT160N

All my PC's on my home network can share and see folders, but my Company PC can not share nor does it see the shared folders of the other PC's. I have the firewall off on that PC. I tried sharing a folder from that PC but none of the other's see that folder.
I am at a loss, at one time it was sharing and seeing but had a virus get into the unit and the Company Tech team cleaned it and now, no sharing. I can get through to the internet with no problems.
Running NetWork magic on that PC, I see the other PC and the network printer, infact I can print to that printer.
I know it has to be a rights issue, but for the life of me I have no idea as to where else to look. I looked at my anti virus to see if it was blocking "MacAfee", but it's not and I don't have windows firewall running.
If anyone has ideas, please be specific as to where you want me to go or look. Send pictures, I'm that lost at this time.

Make sure your Company PC and your Home Network PC's are in the same Workgroup. Once they are in the same workgroup then they will be able to see files and folder.

Once the connection is made you should automatically see the other person full screen, with a small inset picture of yourself. Normally you only see yourself full screen after you initiate the call prior to the other person accepting it. Are you both connected to wi-fi and are you initiating the call by tapping the FaceTime button on the other person's contact?
