Kindle fire on iPad

The free Kindle reader does not seem to support "Kindle Fire" mobi files that use embedded fonts. That is, books with fonts that I can read fine on the PC or in Kindle have those fonts substituted with others, delivering nonsense. These fonts are used only for certain "special characters," which means that the body of the text is still readable.
So my question is: Is there a way to read Kindle Fire books with embedded fonts on an iPad?

I have found something called "mobireader" that reads Kindle Fire embedded fonts fine on the PC, so my hope is that there are other options out there than the one Amazon supplies. I will follow up on "mobireader" and see if it has something for the iPad...
Just out of curiosity, how do you know that there is no other option? Has Kindle done something to black them?

There is no problem with Gmail and iPad; I use it all the time.
Check to make sure that you have entered the correct information in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars for your Gmail account.

IPad & Kindle Fire connection problems

Have new Ipad and kindle fire that will not connect to internet. Both connect to wireless but when we try to go on line they will not connect. We have an old Westell 327W DSL router. Could this be the problem. Regards

This is a security feature. It's to prevent someone from looking over your shoulder to see how many characters are in the password. Please type in your password as it is, ignoring how many characters show up on the screen.

Any chance the wifi network you're trying to connect to has had its access password changed? If so, do you have the correct password?
Can you 'rub' the wifi antenna on the iPad? That might help. I've done this with my iPod Touch and it helped restore the device's ability to connect.
Is it possible to power cycle the wifi router you're trying to connect to?
If worse comes to worse, can you 'reset' the iPad? You could do this, but I'd maybe suggest it as only a last resort.
I think you can also go into the wifi settings and 'delete' that wifi network and then re-connect to it.

I've just bought a Kindle Fire HD and can't get it to connect to my BT Home Hub (I think it's a 3) I have an ipad and iphone and they are connecting fine....help?

Make sure you use the wireless passkey found on the label of the hub and not the admin password or your email password.

HTML Content in Kindle Fire

I've been trying to figure out why HTML content embedded in the web content works perfectly on the iPad and simply doesn't work on the Kindle Fire. If anyone could help me with this, I would be extremely appreciative.

I remember to trying this also by myself, and as far as I remember I didn't manage to get it working. In my case I wasn't even working with third party solution, but with "normal" SAP workflow tasks. This doesn't mean that it wouldn't be possible.
As a workaround, you could add an additional button (=action) for your task. By pressing the button a new browser window would open. Just take a look to the UWL DTD and actions + UrlLauncher handler.

Kindle fire hd 8.9 and skype quality

How is the video quality for skype on kindle fire hd 8.9

Not good for me. Although I have the 7" and have only tested one case. Everyone had great wi-fi connection and the same conversation on Facetime looked well. But the video call between my Kindle Fire HD and an iPad on the other end wasn't good. The conversation crashed every 3 minutes and app broke (sent me to home). And the video quality was poor. Audio was fine but somewhat delayed. Tried re-installing Skype and had the same issues. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We would like to use adobe connect on a Kindle Fire HD. All is well, apart from allowing drawing/writing tools - can this be done?

kindle fire HDX why haven't you fixed the flash player app for kindle!? there are of course alternatives but i have depended on Adobe for two decades! you're the company that I have built a long term relationship with. and am disappointed that I can't depend on the finest quality company in my opinion anymore. come on people you have a lot of people that are having to go to alternative apps that i would rather not do. kindle fire HDX is what I use know so return some of that loyalty back to us that have been working with you for years. The FLASH player won't work on my device. Simple fix right! So get on with it then send me an email notification, ok thanks sincerely abel guerrero.

There is no more Flash Player for Android and there won't be another. Android is no longer compatible with Flash Player since June of 2012. That WON'T change.

2008 (March) - Apple® releases the first iPhone, using iOS®. Steve Jobs is insistent and adamant that iOS® is NOT compatible with Flash® and NEVER WILL BE. Jobs' reasoning is that playing Flash® content is processor consumptive and it drains batteries, thus shortening the life of them in mobile devices. In six years, that hasn't changed. Hello, I'm just wonderin ghow to set up a .mac account on a kindle fire hd. I have tried all kinds of ways (imap vs pop3, different smtp's etc), but nothing works.
Wish I could be setting it up on an iPad, but life deals you some wierd cards sometimes...

Doesn't seem to do the trick. This is a brand new kindle fire hd delivered yesterday. The setup procedure does not ask me about SMTP Authentication. Instead, it asks me to select the security type from a list of five options: none, SSL/TLS, SSL/TLS (accept all certificates), STARTTLS or STARTTLS (accept all certificates). I selected SSL/TLS (accept all certificates) because it is the only option that actually processes before giving me the error message!
Any ideas?

My iPhone 4S won't load email messages from my local carrier. It works sometimes and then won't. The local carrier says it is not them and to contact apple. Been happening since got Kindle Fire. Could this be doing it?

Local carrier tells me it is Apple not them. It's been happening since I got my Kindle Fire about a month ago. Any ideas how to make everything work together????? Resolution
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more aboutrestoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.

You can't. ibooks from Apple can currently only be read in the iBooks app on an iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch (you can't read them on computers), and iTunes films can only be watched via iTunes on a computer, Apple TV, or iOS devices
