Hi,
I was having problems connect my Kindle to BT HomeHub 3 - it would not even detect the network when every other device was working perfectly. Then I saw a posting on an Amzon Kindle forum about changing the hub wireless settings from wireless b/g/n to b/g only. This allowed the Kindle to detect the network and connect. Once it had connected I could change the Hub settings back to b/g/n again.
Now I've seen the same problem with a iPad 3 and my daughter's HP laptop - in the latter case Windows 7 could see the SSID but would not connect saying the network was incompatible. As soon as I changed the BT Hub to b/g only the laptop automatically connected - as it had done many times in the past, so I'm not sure what has changed to cause it to fail to connect this time.
My BT Home Hub 3.0 settings are listed below. Is this a problem with the Hub as a number of different devices appear to be affected by it?

Unless you have any wireless "n" devices, then leave the home hub settings at b/g only, as you will get better performance.
Even if you have wireless "n" devices, unless you are passing a lot of high speed data over your local network, then you are not going to see any benefit, unless you have an Infinity connection, as wireless "g" is 54mbs anyway, which is many times faster than the average ADSL connection.

Have a new IPad with IOS6. Will not send emails. Addresses are valid but get notice each time that "recipient was rejected by the server." Apple has apparently neglected to put out a manual with IOS6 and the previous manual has no indication of what to do. Really miss Steve Jobs.
Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if it then works

I have the 1st generation iPad. All of a sudden it will not connect to my wi-fi. It finds my wi-fi, but will not totally connect. I have done everything...reset network, rebooted router etc and it still will not connect. My other divices are connected....iPhone and 3 Macs. Any suggestions?

Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.
Attempts to sync an iDevice to a new computer will remove all content from the device and replace it with content from the new, empty library. -

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning device recognition issues:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for OS X
Follow these steps to resolve your issue:
If you haven't connected your iOS device to this computer before, unlock the device and tap Trust. Learn more about the Trust This Computer alert.
Restart your iOS device.
Restart your Mac.
Make sure that your Mac meets the minimum system requirements for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Install software updates on your Mac.
If an iTunes update is available, apply the update.
Check USB connections. iOS devices need USB 2.0 to work properly. If you're not sure your Mac has USB 2.0 ports, check the computer's specifications.
Disconnect other USB devices and connect your device directly to a USB port on your Mac.
Try another USB cable.
